Ukraine has set up positions on the eastern side of the Dnipro River near Kherson city, the Institute for the Study of War reported. The ISW cited Russian military bloggers who said Ukrainian forces had established stable supply lines to their positions. A Russian-installed official has denied reports that Ukraine had taken up positions on the river's eastern bank. Analysts say that if Ukrainian forces have breached the river, it would be a major humiliation for Putin and Moscow. The Dnipro River has served as the front line since Vladimir Putin's soldiers retreated from Kherson city back in November. Recently, Zelensky and his officials have repeatedly talked about a potential counteroffensive to recapture occupied areas.
