Over 900 civilians have been assassinated in the Philippines since 2001 when President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo came to power. The military and the police are clearly implicated, yet a climate of total impunity reigns. This is the "war on terrorism" Philippines-style. The film traces the story of one of the victims of this dirty war, Dr. Chandu Claver, and the ongoing international campaign to stop the killings in the Philippines. Dr. Chandu and his three daughters have now applied for refugee status in Canada. To be screened at Montreal Human Rights Film Festival on March 19, 2009 at 9pm (Cinéma du Parc EST 26min).
