Adai Dosa Recipe _ Multi Lentil Pancake

00:08 Make some Multigrain Dosa or Adai
00:10 which is going to be a perfect add-on for your little one's lunchbox.
00:13 So let us start.
00:14 You will need 1 cup of rice,
00:18 1/4 cup of urad dal,
00:20 1/4 cup of chana dal,
00:22 1/8 cup of toor dal,
00:25 1/8 cup of moong dal,
00:27 6 to 8 red chillies,
00:29 a few curry leaves,
00:31 about 1/2 a teaspoon of hing or asafoetida,
00:35 1 teaspoon of jeera,
00:37 salt to taste,
00:39 and some oil.
00:40 So we are going to start by taking the rice,
00:43 dals,
00:45 after that we are going to add some water to it and we are going to wash this twice,
00:50 curry leaves and red chillies and cumin seeds or jeera along with the asafoetida or hing.
00:56 And then it's time to add about 2 and a half cups of water to this and we are going to leave this to soak for a minimum of 2 hours.
01:03 Here I have this mixture soaking up for about 3 hours or so.
01:08 So now I am going to grind this to a paste.
01:10 So I am going to take a blender
01:13 and add in the mixture.
01:16 Don't throw this water away, just add this water to grind this.
01:21 It's pretty flavorful.

01:26 So looks like it's all ready.
01:36 So our adai batter looks all ready.
01:44 So I am going to add in salt to taste now.
01:46 Mix the salt really well.
01:49 The great thing about this adai or multi-grain or lentil dosas is you don't have to ferment it at all.
01:55 All you need is to soak it, grind it and then make your adais or dosas.
02:00 Heat up a pan.
02:03 So I have a tawa heating up so let's start making our adais or multi-grain or multi-lentil dosas.
02:16 So just take a ladle full and make a thick dosa kind of a thing but a smaller one like a uttapam.
02:23 The thickness is somewhere between the dosa and the uttapam so somewhere around there.
02:36 Oil goes in the edges.
02:45 We want to cook this until it's golden in medium flame.
02:48 So this looks great. It's time to take it out.
