00:16 Today I am going to show you a recipe which kids will love it like anything.
00:21 Today I am going to show you a potato dish but this potato dish we are going to make
00:26 it with baby potatoes and this recipe name is crispy baby potato.
00:32 So lets start how to make it.
00:34 Here are the baby potatoes.
00:35 So what I did is I have taken the baby potato and I boiled it.
00:41 Don't boil till it is 100% just boil till it is 80%.
00:46 So what I did is I have cut it into roundels.
00:49 You can see and that too with skin.
00:52 To make this first we are going to mix some masala.
00:55 So first we are going to add some cumin powder and in this we are going to add some coriander
01:01 powder also and some garam masala, some turmeric, ginger garlic paste and chilli powder, salt.
01:09 As per taste you can add the salt and also one tea spoon of rice flour and we are going
01:15 to just mix this once.
01:17 In this we are going to add fresh mint.
01:22 So what we are going to do is we are going to finely chop the mint.
01:26 So here I have the mint, fresh mint.
01:29 You can take just you know one bunch of mint and you can add fresh mint.
01:34 This will enhance your crispy potato.
01:36 So just chop it finely.
01:38 So here you can see I have finely chopped this mint and this we are going to add it
01:45 into our masala mixture and mix it once more and in this to coat our potatoes we are going
01:52 to add water, little water and first mix it nicely.
01:57 We can add some more.
01:58 I just want little bit thin so that you know this masala will coat nicely to our potatoes
02:04 and then we are going to coat this potato with semolina to give a nice crispy touch
02:12 to our baby potatoes.
02:15 You can see here this is nice and little bit thin not too thick and in this we are going
02:20 to add the potatoes.
02:22 If your potatoes are over boiled then it will be mashed when you try to mix it in this masala.
02:30 So be careful and add this nicely and just mix it so that this masala will coat to your
02:38 potatoes.
02:40 So once you mix this now is the trick for the crispiness.
02:45 So just take a plate and just put some semolina in a plate.
02:50 Now take your baby potatoes which we cut it into nice rounds just dip it or you can you
02:57 know put everything together and just toss it once so that your semolina will stick nicely
03:03 to your baby potatoes.
03:04 Either you do it single single or add couple of them give a nice crust to this.
03:11 First we are going to fry it without oil and then we are going to add some oil and we are
03:17 going to fry till we get a nice golden color.
03:20 You can just shallow fry it or you know pan fry these baby potatoes directly.
03:27 First you can put it on the pan without oil saute it for one minute and then we are going
03:35 to add oil and we are going to cook it till we get a nice golden color both the sides.
03:43 See this is nicely sticking to our potato.
03:46 One side it is nice and crispy and it is nicely sticked to our baby potato.
03:54 See now we are going to add the oil you can add some two tea spoons of oil that's it and
04:00 just cook it in slow flame.
04:02 We just cooked our potatoes till 80% now if you are cooking in slow flame another 20%
04:09 it will cook and even our semolina will become nice and crispy and golden color.
04:17 So dear friends in between you keep you know flipping it you can see a nice color we need
04:23 some more color so I am going to cook for another 3 minutes or you know 4 minutes or
04:29 till you see a nice golden color you can just cook this baby potatoes.
04:34 So just switch off the flame if you want you can cook further but this is perfect for me
04:40 and these are nice and crispy outside and soft inside.
04:45 I am going to just take one piece see it is nice and crispy.
04:50 The potato is also perfectly cooked I cooked till 80% now it is 100% cooked and outside
04:57 it is crispy and inside nice and soft.
05:06 Very very nice and simple dish this you know you can serve it as a snack also just you
05:11 can put some you know tomato chutney or green chutney or meaty chutney any chutney and you
05:18 can you know serve it as a snack for your guest or even for your family in the evening
05:23 only thing you need a boiled potatoes it may be baby potato or it may be a regular potato
05:29 you can make it with any kind of potatoes.
