00:00 Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel.
00:04 Today I'm doing this bronze smokey cat eye.
00:06 This is a look that I had in my "What's in my purse" video.
00:09 If you guys haven't seen that yet, I will have the link in the description box.
00:12 I got a lot of requests to do a tutorial on this look, so I thought I would film it for
00:16 you and I know prom is coming up.
00:18 I think this is such a perfect look for those of you girls who are not afraid to wear a
00:21 lot of makeup.
00:22 It's very glamorous, which is obviously very appropriate for prom.
00:26 So let's get started.
00:31 I'm going to go ahead and prime the eyes.
00:32 I'm taking the NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer.
00:35 I use this for my drugstore prom makeup look and I instantly fell in love with this.
00:40 It works very, very well.
00:42 I don't see my eyeshadow creasing at all and I do think it's waterproof.
00:48 It's really, really good.
00:49 I love it.
00:50 So I like to just apply that on the eyelids of course and also underneath the eyes.
00:54 The first color I'm taking is Peach Smoothie by Makeup Geek.
00:56 I'm going to be applying this on the crease with my Sigma E35 brush.
01:00 I'm just going to make sure I blend this all out.
01:03 This is just going to be working as my transition color.
01:08 With that same Sigma E35 brush, I'm going to be applying Frappé by Makeup Geek.
01:12 You guys know I love me some Makeup Geek shadows.
01:15 So I'm just going to be applying this on the crease and I'm going to be extending this
01:18 outwards, kind of creating that cat eye.
01:29 With my Sigma E25 brush, I'm going to be applying Mocha by Makeup Geek.
01:33 As you can tell, this is a color that I use a lot.
01:36 I'm going to make sure I focus this color right on the crease and also extend it out
01:41 just like I did with the other colors.
01:43 Except this is not a transition color, you don't want to completely blow it out to the
01:47 brow bone because it is a very dark color.
01:49 So just focus it on the crease and extend out.
02:02 I am now applying this Makeup Geek filled shadow in Grandstand.
02:05 I'm going to be applying this on the eyelid with my fingers.
02:08 I like to apply these with my fingers a lot better.
02:10 I just feel like they come out a lot more pigmented like this.
02:26 Right after that, I'm going to go in with my Sigma E25 brush just to blend out any harsh
02:30 lines.
02:32 The next color I'm going in with is Corrupt by Makeup Geek.
02:35 This is one of my favorite black eyeshadows.
02:37 I don't think I own any black eyeshadow or I mean I don't think I own any super black
02:45 eyeshadow like this one.
02:46 So I'm just applying this with my Sigma E25 brush in the outer V of the eye and I'm also
02:51 going to make sure I extend this outwards.
02:53 You want to be very careful when using black eyeshadows because it can be very hard to
02:57 blend if you apply a little bit too much.
03:00 So be very careful with that.
03:03 Also I'm going to be taking that black eyeshadow and bringing it in the inner corner right
03:07 on the crease just to deepen it up.
03:24 I'm going back in with Frappe using my Sigma E35 brush and I'm just going to be blending
03:29 this out because I did say black eyeshadow is very difficult to blend with, blend with?
03:33 So I'm going to go ahead and blend that out.
03:37 I'm going to be applying more Makeup Geek Fuller Shadow in Grandstand on the eyelid.
03:43 Now what I'm doing is just taking a Q-tip and removing some of the eyeshadow from the
03:48 side just to make it a little bit more sharp.
03:50 I just cleaned it out with actually using some eye cream.
03:55 So it's kind of going to help out your under eyes while it erases some of the makeup as
04:00 well.
04:01 Now I'm just lining my eyes like always.
04:04 I will have my eyeliner tutorial in the description box.
04:07 And now what I'm doing is just highlighting my eyes.
04:13 I'm just going to give my lashes a very thin coat of mascara before I apply any falsies.
04:24 For my lashes I'm going to be taking these Lina lashes called Yonce.
04:29 I thought these were like the perfect lashes.
04:31 They're super full, they are so me.
04:32 I love them.
04:34 For my face I'm taking the NYX Honey Do Me Up.
04:37 I use this also in my drugstore prom makeup look and I really like it.
04:43 Somebody asked me if I had oily skin and did I like it.
04:46 I do like it right now.
04:47 I probably won't like it for summer but for now I'm really enjoying it.
04:52 For my foundation I'm taking the Covergirl 3-in-1 in the number 842.
04:56 I'm just going to be applying this with my Ulta Beauty Flat Top Kabuki brush.
05:12 I'm taking the LA Girl Pro Concealer in the color natural.
05:14 I'm just going to be applying this underneath the eyes, forehead, chin, nose, and cupid's
05:20 bow.
05:28 I'm going to go ahead and blend out the concealer with this sponge from Ulta Beauty.
05:33 I am using a damp.
05:34 You want to make sure you use a wet.
05:37 I'm just blending this out.
05:38 I do really like this sponge.
05:40 I cannot talk today.
05:41 I can never talk when I'm filming.
05:44 I do like this sponge but I just love the Beauty Blender so much more.
05:50 This sponge does do the job.
05:59 I'm going to take Banana from the Anastasia Contour Kit with my Sigma F35 brush and I'm
06:04 going to go ahead and set my under eyes and the rest of my T-zone.
06:08 Of course, you always want to make sure you set the under eyes so your concealer will
06:12 not crease.
06:13 And the T-zone, we're just setting that because I have oily skin and I want to make sure I
06:18 set that.
06:26 To contour the face, I am taking Fawn from the Anastasia Contour Kit with my Diva B07
06:30 round contour brush and brush?
06:32 Brush?
06:33 What did I say?
06:34 I'm just going to be applying this underneath the cheekbones, my forehead, and I'm also
06:39 going to contour my nose.
06:41 This is one of my favorite contouring shades to contour my face with because it is a cool
06:46 toned contour shade so you guys know I love that.
06:58 To contour my face, I'm using Java also from that same palette with my NYX B02 brush and
07:05 I like to apply this on the cheeks, my forehead, pretty much anywhere you want to bronze up
07:11 the face.
07:16 For blush, I am using two of my favorite blushes.
07:19 I am taking Infatuation and Spellbound by Makeup Geek.
07:22 I've gotten to a point where I'm just mixing these because they're just both so beautiful
07:27 so I'm just like screw it, let me mix them and I just really like the way it comes out.
07:31 I'm just using my Ultra Beauty blush brush or powder brush I think to apply this.
07:37 I'm just taking that brush that I use for my under eye concealer and blending this all
07:42 out.
07:43 For highlight, I am taking this MAC highlighter in Soft and Gentle and applying this on the
07:49 highest points of the cheekbones, on the nose, and cupid's bow with this pointed Ultra Beauty
07:55 brush.
07:56 Going back to the eyes, I'm going to go ahead and line the waterline.
07:59 I already have my brows drawn in.
08:01 I will have my brow tutorial down in the description box in case any of you guys want to see that.
08:06 I'm also going to be applying that black liner underneath the lower lash line.
08:10 After that, I'm going to be taking my MAC 219 brush and I'm going to make sure I blend
08:14 this out very well.
08:24 Now I'm going in with my liquid liner and bringing that in the inner corner of the eye
08:28 just to really create that cat eye.
08:34 We are going back in with Fab Fae by Makeup Geek with that same MAC 219 brush.
08:39 I'm going to be applying this underneath the lower lash line and I'm going to really make
08:42 sure I blow this look out very well.
08:53 To further blend out this look, I'm going to be taking my Sigma E35 brush and blending
08:58 it all out.
09:09 Now that we got the eyeshadow done, I'm just going to go ahead and coat the bottom lashes.
09:15 For the lips, I'm taking this Beauty For Real lip liner.
09:18 This lip liner does not have a name, so I don't know what to tell you guys.
09:22 It's just a really nice, nude, kind of mauve lip liner.
09:26 I really, really like it.
09:42 For the lipstick, I am taking MAC's Shy Girl and this is a really nice lipstick.
09:47 It's an oldie, but a goodie.
09:48 It's really, really pretty.
09:50 And that completes this look.
09:52 Thank you guys so much for watching.
09:53 If you did like it, don't forget to give it a thumbs up and if you're not subscribed to
