00:02 I'm here today with my top 2014 eye products.
00:09 So these are products that I loved for the eyes and brows
00:14 for 2014, I have quite a few here
00:16 because I found some gems this year
00:18 that I'm super stoked about.
00:19 So I'm gonna start with brows
00:20 'cause that's probably my least amount of products
00:22 and they are what I used all year long.
00:26 The first is the Anastasia Brow Wiz.
00:28 This is amazing, I've gone through, I don't know,
00:32 seven, eight, nine, 10, I don't know how many
00:35 of these I've gone through.
00:36 It is such a fantastic brow pencil.
00:39 One side has a spoolie which is great
00:41 to comb through your brows,
00:43 the other side is a very fine tip brow product.
00:47 The colors are great, I know they redid their coloring
00:50 at some point during 2014.
00:52 I switch between medium brown and chocolate.
00:56 Depending on how red my hair is,
00:57 I will add a little bit of auburn in there.
00:59 This pencil is just amazing.
01:01 I will try to switch up and do other brow pencils
01:04 and I find that nothing looks
01:06 and is as easy to use as the Brow Wiz.
01:09 I've tried MAC, I've tried the Sigma ones,
01:11 I have tried, I don't know, every other brow pencil there is
01:16 and nothing comes close to the Anastasia Brow Wiz.
01:19 It is my holy grail, tried and true,
01:21 favorite brow pencil of all time
01:23 and probably will be for forever.
01:26 The next is their Dip Brow, what is it called?
01:30 Dip Brow Pomade and this is in chocolate.
01:33 Again, another product that I have in auburn,
01:35 chocolate and medium brown,
01:37 kind of depending on the color of my hair.
01:39 Today I used the chocolate and this is really great.
01:43 It's definitely a product that takes some practice
01:47 and you're gonna have to just kind of work with it
01:50 and figure out how to make it work for you
01:52 because it definitely was something
01:53 that when I first got it, I just like dipped my brush in,
01:56 I put it on and it was a hot mess.
01:58 So you definitely want to use less product
02:01 and just kind of build it up.
02:02 So I will just take a dual-sided brush like this,
02:06 I will dab it into the product,
02:08 then I take the cap, wipe off the excess
02:10 and I just start carving out my brow and feathering it in.
02:13 It's waterproof or water resistant, sweat resistant.
02:17 It lasts all day.
02:19 It ends up looking very beautiful and natural
02:22 if you learn how to use it properly.
02:24 So it's definitely a little bit of a learning curve
02:26 but this is amazing and I'm so happy
02:28 that I've kind of figured it out.
02:30 I'm wearing it today and it's just
02:32 such an amazing brow product
02:34 and I love that it keeps my brows in place.
02:36 I don't even need a brow gel because it holds them in place
02:39 and keeps them on and it's just really fantastic.
02:42 So these two products are hands down
02:46 holy grail brow products of all time.
02:48 Now this is kind of a face product
02:51 but I threw it in with eyes because I only use it
02:53 for using for my brows and it's the concealer
02:56 in number 1.5 from Anastasia.
02:59 And this is a very kind of tacky, thick, opaque concealer.
03:03 I wouldn't use this for under my eyes.
03:05 I know some people do but for me,
03:06 I just like it for my brows and I'll take a Sigma brush.
03:10 This is their 3D HD precision brush
03:13 and it's like a little bit of a funky shape.
03:15 It kind of curved, both sides go up to a tip
03:18 and then it's like flat.
03:20 So it's a very interesting brush
03:22 and what I'll do is I'll dip the product,
03:25 the brush into the product and I will lay it flat
03:28 and carve out my brow and then I will turn it sideways
03:31 and blend it out and it works great
03:33 and the combination of these two is fantastic.
03:35 So really love their concealer
03:37 for cleaning up underneath your brows.
03:39 Now on to some primers.
03:42 I really, really found that I love, love, love
03:46 the Milani shadow sticks or the Jordana shadow sticks
03:49 in the nude shade.
03:50 I think one is called Continuous Almond maybe
03:54 and I'm trying to remember what the other one is
03:56 but it's their nude shade.
03:58 I've used them both up so I don't have them to show you
04:00 but this one just happens to be in Sand Dunes from Milani.
04:03 I just found that I love just taking the pencil
04:06 and putting it on my eye, blending it out
04:08 and that's what I used all year long
04:10 were those type of pencils
04:12 and I found I really, really like them.
04:13 They both perform equally amazing
04:15 so whether you use Jordana or Milani,
04:17 it's just completely up to you
04:19 but they replaced my MAC painterly paint pot
04:21 and I love them.
04:22 So anyways, the Milani shadow sticks
04:25 or the Jordana shadow sticks,
04:27 super cheap at the drugstore
04:28 and work amazing as primers.
04:30 They didn't crease, they lasted all day,
04:31 they were creamy, they didn't dry out my eyelids.
04:34 I really liked them.
04:36 The next are some MAC paint pots.
04:38 I kind of have found that I don't use
04:41 my Maybelline color tattoos as much.
04:42 I find that most of them are kind of drying
04:47 and they make my eyelids look crepey.
04:48 Now, not everybody has beautiful crease proof
04:53 or wrinkle proof lids.
04:55 I wish that we could all have
04:56 Jaclyn Hill's beautiful perfect eyelids
05:00 but in reality, I don't have those
05:02 and certain bases don't work on my eyes
05:04 because they make my eyelids look crinkly
05:07 and sometimes even using pigments, that happens
05:09 but I find that the MAC paint pots
05:12 never make my eyelids look crepey or wrinkly
05:16 or any more wrinkly than they already are
05:19 and a few of my favorites are these kind of brown tone ones.
05:23 This one isn't quite natural
05:24 and this one's kind of a satiny finish.
05:27 It's a beautiful, just kind of mid-tone brown.
05:31 It has a little bit of some taupey coolness to it.
05:34 Beautiful for all over the lid
05:35 and definitely one of those that I would like
05:37 to put on the lid and then kind of blend it up
05:39 into the crease, put a really pretty brown shadow over it
05:43 and then put on some mascara.
05:46 It's very beautiful
05:47 and then the other one is a little bit warmer.
05:49 This one is called Groundwork
05:50 and this one is a little bit more of a camel color.
05:54 Definitely a little bit, I guess, warmer, yeah.
05:57 So that one is Groundwork
06:00 and that one has a little bit more of a satiny sheen to it.
06:02 I absolutely love these.
06:04 I find that I reach for my MAC paint pots
06:07 probably nine times out of 10
06:08 over the Maybelline Color Tattoos.
06:11 I'm thinking of just kind of getting rid of most of those
06:13 because I don't ever use them
06:15 because I don't like the way that shadows
06:18 lay over them on my eyes.
06:19 So anyways, the MAC paint pots are my favorite
06:23 and then I discovered the Tom Ford ones.
06:25 I don't know if they have more colors in this range
06:27 or if they just had two limited edition ones
06:29 that they just happened to bring out.
06:31 I have Platinum and Spice.
06:32 This one is in Spice.
06:33 The texture of these are amazing.
06:35 They're like this whipped, creamy, oh my gosh.
06:40 It's just amazing.
06:41 These are beautiful.
06:42 They are a splurge item but they're worth it.
06:46 They don't, again, they don't get crepey
06:48 or wrinkly looking on my eyes.
06:51 This one is in Spice.
06:52 It's a beautiful, like, bronzy copper color
06:56 and it's stunning.
06:57 I absolutely love these.
06:58 If Tom Ford comes out with more,
07:00 I can guarantee you if I like the color,
07:01 I will buy more because the formula
07:03 and the texture is so amazing.
07:05 So these are definitely a hit for me.
07:06 All right, the next is some liners
07:08 and there was a few standout liners.
07:10 As you guys know, I love the gel liner from Makeup Geek.
07:15 This is Immortal.
07:15 It's black.
07:16 It's what I have on today.
07:17 It's matte, it's creamy.
07:19 I'm almost out of this one.
07:20 I've kind of like scraped it and gathered it all to one side.
07:23 A fantastic, fantastic, easy to use black gel liner.
07:29 The other one that has definitely stole my heart
07:31 is the Anastasia Waterproof Cream Color in Jet.
07:35 There's so many Anastasia products
07:36 that I have just absolutely adored this year
07:39 and this gel liner is one of them.
07:41 It is inky, it is black, it is matte.
07:44 It's a little bit more, in my opinion,
07:46 a stiffer formula than the Makeup Geek one.
07:49 That one is very creamy.
07:51 This one's a little bit stiffer,
07:52 which I find is a little bit easier to work with
07:54 because it's not so creamy
07:56 that you can make a mistake as easily.
07:58 I don't know if that makes sense,
07:59 but it's not stiff where it like tugs at your eye.
08:02 But it is so matte, so black.
08:05 Favorite, favorite, favorite gel liner.
08:07 So if I had to choose between the two,
08:09 I would choose this Anastasia one,
08:12 but the Makeup Geek one is so close
08:14 that it's like they're almost, they're like neck and neck.
08:16 So price difference is a little bit,
08:18 I think this is like 18 maybe,
08:20 and this is under $10, I'd say.
08:23 So it just depends on preference.
08:24 And size-wise, this one has three grams
08:27 and this has four grams,
08:29 so it does have a little bit more product.
08:30 But these two gel liners were hands down, holy grail.
08:34 Okay, so two liquid eyeliners that I loved,
08:36 Stila Stay All Day and the Tattoo Liner
08:40 from Kat Von D and Trooper, both amazing.
08:42 The Stay All Day is a felt tip liner.
08:45 I have loved this for a long time.
08:47 I've loved this since I went to IMAX in 2013.
08:52 So I love it.
08:54 It's very black, very easy to use.
08:56 I don't use this kind of liner very often anymore,
09:00 the liquid liners.
09:01 I've been using gel for so long.
09:02 And then the Kat Von D is a brush tip.
09:06 I think that the Kat Von D is a little bit easier
09:08 to work with in my opinion,
09:10 because the brush tip doesn't fray.
09:12 And I find that the Stila one,
09:14 the tip of it sometimes starts to fray
09:15 and you have to kind of like pick at it
09:17 and get off the little like fray pieces.
09:20 But both are amazing, very, very black, very easy to use.
09:23 I wanna say they're like between the 18 and $22 range
09:27 at Sephora, and they're great, I love 'em.
09:30 So I'd recommend both of those to you.
09:32 And then two pencil liners.
09:33 This is the Jane Retractable Water Resistant Eyeliner.
09:37 The black one is my all-time favorite.
09:38 It's like called Onyx or Black or something.
09:41 But I've used that up,
09:43 and I have to use up some other black ones
09:44 before I'll let myself repurchase it.
09:45 But this one just happens to be in forest green.
09:47 I just picked one out of my drawer.
09:50 But the forest green is very beautiful too.
09:52 But the black one is very black, it's matte.
09:55 It's the only liner that I find
09:58 that really stays in the waterline.
09:59 I have a bunch that stay in the waterline pretty well,
10:02 like the Marc Jacobs one, the NARS one.
10:06 I'm sure there's a couple other ones
10:07 I just can't think of right now.
10:08 But this one stays in my waterline so nicely.
10:11 The only downside is this product runs out really fast,
10:13 but it's from the drugstore and it's super cheap.
10:16 So pick up the black one,
10:17 and they have a bunch of pretty color ones too
10:18 if you wanna do some colored liners.
10:20 But it stays all day, water resistant,
10:22 stays in your waterline, it's awesome.
10:24 And then another one that I found that I really like
10:27 is this NYX Wonder Pencil, and this is in the shade medium.
10:29 And this is a great one if you're wanting
10:31 to brighten up your eyes by putting this in your waterline.
10:34 It is a flesh, you might not even be able to see that.
10:37 It's a flesh tone pencil.
10:38 This also could be used on blemishes,
10:40 or I don't know, it has a list of different things
10:42 you could use it on.
10:43 I just use this for my waterline,
10:44 and this sounds like common sense,
10:47 but I figured I'd throw this out here anyways.
10:49 If you're going to use this on blemishes,
10:51 do not use this in your eye rim.
10:54 Because there's just something gross
10:55 about putting this on your pimples
10:57 and then sticking it in your eye.
10:58 That just is nasty.
11:00 So I think most of you probably already know not to do that,
11:05 but that was kind of the first thing that came to my mind.
11:07 I'm like, ooh, this is for your pimples,
11:08 but also for your eye rim?
11:10 Like, that's kind of weird.
11:11 But this is great.
11:12 It lasts in the waterline really nicely.
11:13 It brightens up the eyes.
11:14 It's inexpensive because it's NYX and it's drugstore,
11:17 and I really, really love it.
11:19 The next is kind of a random.
11:20 This is the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue.
11:23 I love this.
11:24 I've been wearing a lot of pigments and glitters
11:26 towards the end of the year, and this is just
11:28 a really great product.
11:29 If you have some kind of shadows that maybe
11:32 are a little bit more sparkly or glittery
11:34 and you want that sparkle and glitter
11:35 to translate onto the eyelid, get something like this
11:39 because you can just pat it on.
11:40 It doesn't change the color of your shadow.
11:42 It doesn't interfere with your shadow,
11:44 but it will let that glitter or that pigment
11:46 or whatever it is you're trying to get to stick to your lid,
11:49 it will help that stay all day and not
11:52 get fallout all over your face.
11:53 So this was like a little random honorable mention
11:56 that I've been really loving, and there's a lot of things
11:58 and looks that I wouldn't have been able to do without this,
12:01 so I really, really like that.
12:02 For some shadows, I could not not mention the Urban Decay
12:09 Naked Basics.
12:10 I use this every single day.
12:12 There's not a day this whole year that I have not used this.
12:15 And I just basically use it for Walk of Shame and Foxy,
12:18 which are the two highlight shades.
12:19 I mix them both together, and that's my brow bone highlight
12:22 every single day.
12:23 Venus I'll sometimes pop into the inner corner.
12:26 And then I use Naked 2 occasionally.
12:28 I rarely use these two.
12:30 I probably should use them a little bit more,
12:32 but these two shades I use every single day.
12:34 And I use this palette every day,
12:36 so I could not mention it.
12:37 It's a great little basic palette
12:39 to take with you if you're traveling
12:40 to have in your vanity.
12:41 It's small, compact, and you get a great shimmery inner corner
12:46 or highlight, brow bone highlight,
12:48 two great cream shades.
12:50 You have a nice mid-tone brown for your crease,
12:54 and then you have some darker shades if you
12:56 want to use them as liner or to smoke out
12:58 under your eyes or your crease or whatever.
13:00 So love this.
13:02 Could not not mention it.
13:04 OK.
13:05 Let's say it all together, the Lorac Unzipped palette.
13:08 You guys know I'm so obsessed with this.
13:10 Especially towards the last half of the year,
13:13 this has been my go-to palette.
13:15 I love it.
13:16 There's just something about these four shades
13:19 that I can't get enough of.
13:21 I would just buy those by themselves
13:23 if I could because these four shades are great.
13:26 I love this color for transition, crease.
13:29 I just love it.
13:30 I love using these ones in the crease.
13:33 I love putting them all over my lid.
13:34 I love them.
13:35 And then this copper shade, unbelievable.
13:37 I use a ton.
13:38 A beautiful copper shade.
13:39 If you have green eyes, if you have blue eyes,
13:41 that copper looks amazing.
13:43 So this palette is fantastic.
13:45 I love it so much.
13:47 If I use up all of this shade here, which I know I will,
13:51 if I can't find a dupe for it, I would probably just
13:53 go by the palette again just to have that shade
13:55 because I love it so much.
13:57 So LORAC Unzipped, you guys knew I was going to mention that.
14:00 OK, everyone else is probably mentioning their Makeup Geek
14:02 shadows, so why shouldn't I?
14:04 Because they are so great.
14:05 I love them.
14:06 My most used shades are-- what is this one?
14:09 Vanilla Bean, maybe?
14:10 Yeah.
14:11 Vanilla Bean, which is just a nice cream shade.
14:13 Peach Smoothie, we all love that shade.
14:15 So Frappe, Purely Naked, Creme Brulee,
14:19 those are all some other ones that I really love.
14:21 These warm, rich brown colors.
14:24 I also really love this one, which
14:26 is called Latte, which is a little bit of a cooler brown.
14:29 I find I use these all the time, especially those ones.
14:32 And I have a whole video where I swatch these,
14:34 so I'll leave them down below.
14:35 I also have a favorite Makeup Geek video,
14:38 like Makeup Geek products that are my favorites.
14:40 I'll leave those down below as well.
14:42 But oh, and this Unexpected is a great purpley crease color.
14:46 So the Makeup Geek shadows are fantastic.
14:47 They're $5 or $6.
14:49 They blend beautifully.
14:50 They're not chalky.
14:52 They're very pigmented.
14:54 Inexpensive.
14:55 I like these better, and I reach for these more
14:57 than I do my MAC shadows.
14:58 So Makeup Geek, if you haven't tried them out yet,
15:00 I highly recommend it.
15:02 Their pigments are fantastic.
15:05 I did a look using the Utopia pigment, which
15:07 is a very amazing, crazy color that I can't even really
15:11 describe what the color is, because it's like taupe,
15:15 but then it's kind of green, but then it's kind of silvery.
15:18 And I did a look combining it with purple,
15:21 so I'll leave that down below.
15:22 Also, Insomnia pigment is a very great dupe for MAC Club and MAC
15:28 Blue Brown pigment.
15:29 And then there's Kryptonite, which is a beautiful green.
15:32 And then there's Afterglow, which is a beautiful--
15:36 I don't know, it's kind of like the tan pigment from MAC.
15:38 But the pigments are fantastic.
15:40 They just came out with foiled shadows.
15:42 So their eye products are just amazing.
15:45 There's not an eye product from them
15:47 that I tried that I haven't liked.
15:48 So check out their pigments, their eye shadows,
15:50 their gel liners, their new foiled shadows
15:53 are just really, really great.
15:55 And then last but not least, a couple mascaras
15:57 that I've been loving.
15:59 I found the Clinique High Impact Mascara this year.
16:03 I love this.
16:04 I feel like it really separates and lengthens my lashes.
16:07 I love the brush.
16:08 I am a natural bristle brush kind of gal, and I love this.
16:12 I love what it does for my lashes.
16:14 It definitely separates and lengthens.
16:16 I don't think it adds a lot of volume and thickness to them,
16:19 but you can combine it with a thickening mascara,
16:22 and I think you're good to go.
16:24 Always, Bad Gal from Benefit.
16:27 This is a huge wand, again, a natural bristle brush.
16:31 I love what this does for my lashes.
16:32 Again, it's another one of those kind of lengthening
16:35 and separating mascaras.
16:36 And I think it just works fantastic.
16:38 I've never not liked how it makes my lashes look,
16:41 and I can't get enough of it.
16:44 It's just my favorite mascara, and I've
16:46 purchased it numerous times.
16:48 Another one that I found this summer
16:49 is the Urban Decay Perversion Bigger Blacker Batter Lashes.
16:53 Again, another natural bristle brush.
16:55 This is a little bit more of a wet formula.
16:57 I love that this thickens, lengthens, separates my lashes.
17:02 It's a little bit more of a clumpier mascara,
17:04 but it doesn't make you look-- it doesn't give you spider
17:07 lashes, but it makes your lashes super, super, super, super,
17:10 super black.
17:12 Love this.
17:13 And then a newer favorite towards the end of this year
17:15 is the Better Than Sex Mascara from Too Faced.
17:18 Again, it's a natural bristle brush.
17:19 It's actually what I have on today.
17:21 I find that it thickens, it lengthens, it adds volume,
17:25 it separates.
17:26 If you mix this with the high impact mascara,
17:29 I think it's a great combination.
17:30 Or even with the Bad Gal, I love the combination of those two.
17:34 I had a couple samples that I've used up.
17:36 I think two or three of these might be my third sample,
17:38 so then I ended up buying the full size
17:40 because I loved it so much.
17:42 And I almost can't believe that I forgot to mention the ColourPop
17:46 shadows.
17:47 These things are amazing.
17:49 I just did a video not too recently
17:51 where I swatched a bunch, so I will link that down below as
17:53 well.
17:54 But these are freaking fantastic.
17:56 I'm actually wearing two or three different ones
17:58 on my eyes today.
18:00 I think they apply best with your finger.
18:02 They're $5, you guys.
18:03 $5.
18:04 They're an interesting texture.
18:06 They're not quite a cream, but they're not quite a powder.
18:08 But they're super smooth.
18:10 Look how pigmented that is.
18:12 They're absolutely stunning.
18:14 Really easy to work with once you figure out
18:17 how to use them.
18:18 They're very, very pigmented, creamy.
18:20 They pack a ton of sparkle.
18:22 They're just coming out with a nude-- not a nude,
18:26 but a matte line.
18:27 And I mean, that's one swipe.
18:31 Let me grab a color, and I'll show you.
18:33 This one is called Hustle.
18:34 And it's a beautiful kind of burgundy.
18:36 We're going to go whoop, whoop.
18:39 Look at that.
18:41 They're awesome.
18:42 They're really, really great.
18:43 Their lip products are fantastic, too,
18:45 but this is not the lip video.
18:46 The ColourPop shadows, $5.
18:48 Beautiful colors, great range.
18:50 All of them have cute names, cute packaging.
18:53 And I'll link the video down below where I swatched them all.
18:55 So yeah, the ColourPop shadows, you definitely
18:58 need to get some of those in your life.
18:59 Those are some of my favorites for 2014.
19:03 A lot of really great eye products.
19:05 Not a ton of palettes, but I think
19:07 a lot of individual products that I really, really
19:10 found that I loved.
19:11 So I'd love to know what some of your 2014 favorite eye
19:15 products were.
19:15 What did you love?
19:16 Even maybe what products you didn't care for so much.
19:19 So anyways, guys, thank you so much for watching.
19:21 And I'll talk to you later.
