00:00 Hey guys, so today we're going to be doing a meditation video.
00:06 I'm going to be helping you with breathing and just trying to visualize other things
00:14 that may stress your day out.
00:17 Just to soothe your mind and relax you and make you feel at ease and peaceful.
00:25 So, yeah, let's begin.
00:28 First and foremost, make sure that you're in a comfortable environment,
00:33 somewhere that you feel safe and peaceful.
00:40 You can lay down, you can sit up, whichever one you prefer.
00:47 So, we're going to be starting off with the breathing.
00:52 So I want you guys to breathe in and then we're going to count to five.
00:59 And then breathe out and we're also going to count to five.
01:03 I want you guys to notice on your inhaling first.
01:08 And you're going to notice how the air comes in your nose and it cools the tip area.
01:16 So, breathe in, one, two, three, four, five.
01:23 And exhale, one, two, three, four, five.
01:30 Think about the trees when the wind is getting them.
01:37 And you just want to be very slowly, possibly looking at the ocean,
01:48 how it's just very still and the water is slowly moving.
01:56 You just see the reflections from the sun, the glaze hitting it.
02:02 Breathe in.
02:08 Breathe out.
02:14 You can think of laying in your bed when you just got done doing something very hard working and stressful.
02:29 And you lay down and you feel the warmth of the sun hit the side of your cheek and your neck.
02:40 And you can just feel very calm and you notice how the air is cooling you.
02:51 Breathe in.
02:57 And exhale.
03:07 Think of how you can feel as if you were flying.
03:16 You pick up flight and you're soaring through the sky.
03:24 You see birds, trees.
03:30 Don't forget to inhale and exhale.
03:34 And you look down and you see people and you see houses and you see a park.
03:46 And the sun is really warm on your body and you just feel calm and relaxed.
03:55 You're just soaring through the sky.
03:58 You see clouds and you fly through clouds and you just feel very peaceful and relaxed.
04:14 Think of when you look.
04:18 For instance, you can look on the sheets of your bed and you see the sun streaks hitting your bed sheets.
04:30 Breathe in.
04:36 And exhale.
04:46 You hear the birds chirping and you feel the breeze on your skin as you're flying.
04:59 You're just very peaceful and relaxed.
05:04 You feel happy and calm.
05:08 And everything surrounding you is happy and calm as well.
05:13 You just are soaring through the sky.
05:17 Nothing in your distance is going to harm you or scare you.
05:26 You just feel happy and relaxed.
05:30 And everything is good and one with the world.
05:40 I want you to feel your breath as you inhale.
05:44 I want you to notice as the air goes inside your nasal passages.
05:50 It goes inside to your lungs. I want you to notice how your lungs expand.
05:56 And then go back to normal.
06:02 Breathe in.
06:09 And exhale.
06:18 Notice how the sun makes a beautiful pink color and orange and it mixes together.
06:28 And it's so beautiful and peaceful.
06:32 All you do is just want to do is stare at it.
06:38 Notice how calm your breathing is now.
06:44 Notice how at ease you feel.
06:48 Think about taking a walk.
06:52 And breathing gently going in and out.
07:01 You can continue breathing. Don't forget.
07:05 So just breathe in.
07:07 One, two, three, four, five.
07:12 And exhale.
07:14 One, two, three, four, five.
07:19 Now we're going to do a different exercise.
07:23 I want you to visualize somewhere that you've been before.
07:28 That you recall being very peaceful.
07:31 I want you to imagine it.
07:36 I want you to notice all the small details about this place that you have been before.
07:44 And I want you to put yourself there.
07:48 And even the smallest details of it I want you to think about.
07:54 And I want you to breathe in.
08:01 Hold.
08:03 And exhale.
08:11 Notice how the small things about the place of choice make you feel.
08:25 One place that I remember is I really enjoy camping.
08:35 One time when I was camping there was--it was like in the middle of the day--
08:44 and all the people that were working at the time were at their booths.
08:52 It's like a festival.
08:55 And I remember sitting in one of the camp chairs and I recall just feeling very happy.
09:03 And I just remember seeing all the trees moving slowly.
09:10 I could do anything.
09:13 I remember how I could hear birds and random people just walking in and out of where the campground was.
09:27 But they were from a distance so I really didn't know who they were.
09:32 I just remember hearing people walking and their footsteps.
09:40 It was kind of breezy out that day.
09:43 And I remember just feeling calm and relaxed.
09:47 And I was just sitting back in the chair and just remembering things that happened during that day that made me happy.
10:01 I heard laughter in the distance, kids playing.
10:05 I'm going to do it with you. So you can put your fingertips--your pointer finger to your thumb--
10:15 and just hold it there feeling relaxed and gently.
10:22 So I want you to breathe in.
10:27 And breathe out.
10:31 [breathing]
10:37 And every time you do your exercise I want you to put your next finger on your thumbs.
10:48 So breathe in.
10:52 [breathing]
10:56 And breathe out.
10:58 [breathing]
11:01 Switch fingers.
11:05 Breathe in.
11:11 And breathe out.
11:13 [breathing]
11:18 And just think about comfortable places that you've been.
11:26 And notice the small things in life that can be so useful in time.
11:36 For instance, looking at a small flower can be so peaceful and calming.
11:46 Or notice how a piece of a leaf is kind of floating on the floor.
11:58 The simplest things can definitely help when trying to relieve stress and to make you feel less anxious and more peaceful.
12:11 Breathe in.
12:16 And out.
12:19 And exhale.
12:24 I want you guys to notice how your breathing is when you go in.
12:30 And then you expand your lungs.
12:34 I want you to notice everything that you're feeling while you're doing that.
12:39 I want you to focus mostly on those small, little things.
12:43 And I want you to try and center yourself and put yourself in your most comfortable state of being.
12:55 So breathe in.
12:57 One, two, three, four, five.
13:01 And exhale.
13:04 One, two, three, four, five.
13:10 Think of birds and see the birds in the distance flying.
13:18 And just feel calm and relaxed.
13:22 And happy.
13:25 It just makes the day a little more easy to come home and just relax and do a little bit of a breathing exercise just to calm you.
13:36 You can do this during the day for a few minutes just to center yourself and go watch my video.
13:45 Or you can do it by yourself.
13:49 And just feel calm.
13:52 You can look out into the sunset and see the different colors of the sky.
14:00 Right now my sky is blue and then it turns to reddish orange and then yellow and blue again.
14:08 And the sun is going down right now where I am.
14:12 And it looks very pretty.
14:15 See birds in the distance.
14:19 Just a calm, relaxing feeling going on.
14:24 And everything just feels happy right now.
14:29 So keep breathing in and out as you feel comfortable.
14:36 Breathe in.
14:39 One, two, three, four, five.
14:43 And exhale.
14:46 One, two, three, four, five.
14:51 Continue.
14:53 Breathe in.
14:56 And exhale.
15:06 Breathe in.
15:12 And exhale.
15:24 And just feel calm and relaxed.
15:33 Try to just let all of your thoughts, any bad thoughts that are going through your head or have happened today, just let go.
15:46 And notice the little things and the things that make you happy and that you're grateful for.
15:53 And that's all really.
16:00 Just breathing in and out and calmness.
16:04 You need to feel still and just one with the earth.
16:10 So it's good sometimes to go outside and breathe in the fresh air and sit in some dirt.
16:19 That sounds weird but it does help to just be one with nature.
16:29 So breathe in.
16:31 One, two, three, four, five.
16:36 And exhale.
16:38 One, two, three, four, five.
16:43 Breathe in again when you're ready.
16:48 And exhale.
17:00 Notice the small things.
17:03 The birds, the distance, the splines.
17:09 The calm of your breath.
17:16 Trees.
17:22 Kids laughing.
17:29 Continue breathing.
17:31 Breathe in.
17:33 One, two, three, four, five.
17:39 And exhale.
17:46 One, two, three, four, five.
17:48 Breathe in.
17:50 One, two, three, four, five.
17:54 And exhale.
17:56 One, two, three, four, five.
18:03 Continue.
18:05 Breathe in.
18:09 One, two, three, four, five.
18:14 And exhale.
18:16 One, two, three, four, five.
18:23 Now we're going to come out of our state of meditation.
18:29 Take a deep breath and let out all surrounding emotion and stress that may be still lingering.
18:40 So breathe in.
18:43 One deep breath.
18:51 And exhale.
19:01 Just let go of everything.
19:05 Just be one with what is now and the present.
19:12 Start bringing the attention back to the room and feel yourself and where you are.
19:22 And bring the state of meditation with you through your day.
