00:03 We're here today to talk about summer festivals.
00:11 We've got some really good ones coming up.
00:12 The festivals are a great time to play with the makeup
00:16 and have some fun and feel like you can experiment.
00:19 I don't usually put on color, so I'm excited to try it.
00:21 Cool, let's try it out.
00:23 The first thing I'm going to do is prime your eyes.
00:25 And I'm going to do that by using
00:27 this oil-free press powder.
00:29 And I think when you're using a colored eyeliner,
00:32 you want to take away any of that undertone
00:35 that you might have in your eyes.
00:36 The next step is I'm going to use an eye shadow that's
00:39 a neutral tone all over your lid.
00:41 I'll have you close your eyes and just tap this onto the lid.
00:47 This shade will also help to counteract
00:50 any redness in your lids.
00:54 Very subtle.
00:55 So now we're going to go to the fun part.
00:57 We're going to do the eyeliner.
00:58 A purple tends to be a go-to, but then everyone's
01:01 scared of blue.
01:02 But blue, I think, because it's the scariest,
01:05 is the one that I want to try the most on you.
01:07 I'm going to use the CoverGirl Liqui-Line Blast Eyeliner.
01:10 And this is that beautiful shade.
01:12 It's like electric blue.
01:14 To start this cat eye, I'm going with little strokes
01:17 back and forth at a time just to really get
01:20 this color and pigment on.
01:24 And then I'm going to bring it in to really create the cat eye.
01:28 And a good tip for when you're doing any kind of cat eye
01:32 is you can look in the mirror and you can just
01:34 draw a little dot right where you want the cat eye to end.
01:40 And then I like to dot both sides just so I know
01:44 that they're going to be even.
01:46 The next step is just an added little bit of fun.
01:49 And I'm going to use this Aquamarine Ink It Eyeliner
01:53 to double line what we have going on to add just
01:56 a little bit more color and contrast.
02:00 So by double lining, I'm going right
02:03 at the very top of what we already
02:05 lined to add just a little bit more brightness
02:11 with this aquamarine shade.
02:13 I've never had a double line before.
02:15 I'm now going to use this great new mascara.
02:18 The Super Sizer Mascara has this really fabulous, thin little
02:22 brush.
02:23 I like to apply this mascara by starting at the base
02:28 and then rotate the brush up to really get
02:32 in between every little lash.
02:36 I'm going to let you try the other eye
02:38 because I want you to see how amazing this brush is.
02:43 A lot of people forget how great a thin, narrow brush
02:47 is for applying mascara.
02:49 I think the tendency is to want--
02:51 only want the big, full brush.
02:53 And that's good for certain looks.
02:55 But for this particular look, it really
02:58 separates out each individual lash
03:01 when you use this beautiful, thinner wand.
03:05 Oh, yeah, I definitely see a difference.
03:06 Huge.
03:07 Mm-hmm.
03:07 It looks so good.
03:09 That thin brush really helps get down to the base.
03:12 It really separated them out so perfectly
03:15 and just made your eyes open up.
03:19 So now I'm going to clean up your skin
03:20 with a little bit of foundation.
03:22 And I think at a festival, you're
03:24 not going to want to have a lot of foundation on.
03:26 You want to make sure that somewhere
03:28 in your skincare or foundation, you're using an SPF.
03:33 I think summer festival time is the perfect time
03:35 to add and incorporate shimmer.
03:39 So along the temple.
03:42 And since you haven't powdered your skin yet,
03:45 you can really work it into the skin and massage it in.
03:48 We're going to use this really gorgeous Cheekers blush on you.
03:52 And this is just going to be super natural and subtle.
03:56 I'm applying this to the apples of your cheek
03:59 and then working it up and back.
04:02 For an added little bit of color to your pout,
04:05 I'm using this gorgeous lip color.
04:07 It's this beautiful orange tone called Mango Lava.
04:10 I'll let you do the honors.
04:12 There's something about orange and blue to me.
04:14 I love them together.
04:16 To me, it's a chicer way of adding color
04:19 than doing a blue and a pink.
04:22 So I feel like I could wear this shade of orange
04:25 on somewhat of an everyday basis.
04:27 Maybe have it a weekend.
04:28 Since this is a festival, I'm going to go ahead and make it
04:31 a bit darker.
04:32 Yeah, more intense.
04:33 Why not?
04:34 This is the perfect time to try that.
04:36 I love how intense the color is from these lip lavas.
04:39 You look so great.
04:43 I love this look.
04:45 I think it's fun.
04:46 It's different.
04:47 But yet, you still feel like you.
04:49 We're so curious what you girls are wearing out there
04:51 on the music festival scene.
04:53 So be sure to leave those comments below.
04:55 Let us know what you're wearing.
