00:00 Hi gorgeous, it's Nisha. Okay so I just have filmed my full coverage foundation routine
00:10 and now I am going to do, a few of you requested for me to do a tutorial for hooded eyes but
00:22 using just matte eyeshadows. Because I understand, I know I have hooded eyes, you know, there
00:28 is my hooded eye. I know I always talk like this and this is the best remedy to stop your
00:35 eyes being hooded, just talk surprised. And my lids are getting a bit, you know, crepey
00:47 but I understand that maybe some of you out there are a bit older than me and maybe your
00:52 eyes are more hooded and I understand that you don't want to use all the shimmery eyeshadows.
01:00 I can still get away with shimmery but soon I might not. So I will do one with just, I
01:12 haven't done it before so I'm gonna just do it, you know, it's not something that I've
01:17 done before. I don't think I ever wear just matte eyeshadows but I will do it now. So
01:23 okay, so I will start with Urban Decay Primer Potion to prime my eyes. I was gonna use MAC
01:39 Paint Pot but that's not matte, is it? So see what we get. But the rules are still the
01:57 same so, you know, you need to make your, because obviously by having hooded eyes we
02:04 don't have a natural crease, so we need to make one up and to make your invisible lid
02:14 bigger you need to put something light. I've got two palettes here. I've got the Sonia
02:21 Kashuk Perfectly Neutral in number 10 and let me take the brush out, and this palette
02:31 has three or four matte eyeshadows. So this one is matte, these two dark ones are matte,
02:40 and this one is almost matte. It's like satin. These finishes are good. And I have a few
02:49 MAC shadows here. I have this one which is Brûlée and Kid. These are all good eyeshadows
03:05 for this look. I don't know which ones I will use yet but I'm just giving you... So that
03:13 Sonia Kashuk palette is very good because even the shimmery, couple of shimmery shadows
03:18 are not very shimmery. And then for MAC things like Brûlée, Kid and Kork are very good.
03:28 So I will start by... I might actually use Brûlée. I use Brûlée on my lower lid.
03:43 My mobile lid. So as you've noticed, when I do my foundation, I do the bronzer and everything
04:02 but I don't do the blush. I wait to see what my eyes are looking and then I determine what
04:10 blush I will use because if I make my eyes really dark, I can't put blush that is in
04:16 your face because then you start looking like a clown. And also the colour matching, you
04:21 know? Do you use pink, do you use peach, or do you use in between? Okay. I think I quite
04:29 like now Kid to make my pretend crease. I will take pencil brush from MAC, number 219,
04:42 go into Kid, look straight forward and you want your crease somewhere here. So draw like
04:54 a template with very light hand. I would say that most of my makeup I put on the same way,
05:06 it's just different colours. So once you've learned that one, you can use it with any
05:15 colour really. So I find this eye, I find this side of my face so much more difficult
05:29 to do and I think I now know why. It's the boobs! When I go with my arm, this side, my
05:36 boob is in the way. And I always do that one higher as you can see because of the boob.
05:49 But we can correct that. And also, forgive me, it is very difficult for me to do it in
05:56 front of the camera because I want you to see everything well and I want to see well
06:04 in my mirror. Okay, so I just have this little template. I will go with 217 now. Take a bit
06:14 more and just go a bit below that now. Okay, so don't go above now this line, just below.
06:39 And to be honest, you could leave that, you could do your eyeliner now, eyelashes and
06:47 you can go, your eyes look already more open, you've got the light here and the darker here.
06:53 So this could be one of your looks, just that. Also what I find really, really good to do
07:00 is to go with that shade that you do your crease with right underneath here and quite
07:06 thick. That seems to, for some reason, define your eye and open it up and make it a bit
07:12 better. And I've been doing that a lot lately. So sometimes, even if I put something very
07:21 dark here, I will go a bit below with something lighter like this. I don't know what it is
07:26 but it seems to work. And because it is not shimmery and it is quite neutral looking,
07:38 it doesn't matter if you do it a bit too thick, it's not going to look ridiculous. Okay, so
07:47 you could leave it like this. Like I said, you could just put eyeliner on, mascara and
07:52 off you go. But I will do some more. So now I'm going to take Sonia Kashuk because I want
07:59 something darker now. And let me get quite a small brush. Yeah, us ladies with hooded
08:09 eyes, we need small brushes because we need to be quite precise where we're putting the
08:15 eye shadow because just, you know, a bit lower or higher could change the way the whole makeup
08:23 looks. And when you have too many brushes, you can't find nothing. Alright, I really
08:28 love this one and it is some cheap eyebrow... Some cheap brush that I bought in one of the
08:38 supermarkets. It's just called eye shadow but I really like it. It's quite flat but
08:45 it's not... It doesn't look synthetic so it picks up the colour well and it's quite small
08:51 so it's easy to work with. So I will take Sonia Kashuk and I will first go, I think,
09:00 with this one. This is quite dark but this one is darker. So I go with the tiny bit lighter
09:08 and I'm just... Let me get closer. I'm just going to start... You do almost like a little
09:17 V but don't go above that crease that you did. Just go quite low because you can blend
09:25 it into there later. Go about here. And the same with this eye. Don't worry about it being
09:50 very precise because it's all in a blending. Also, this type of makeup where you keep all
10:00 the light colours here and the darker out here, helps your eyes look a bit feather set
10:07 apart. So if you have eyes that are very close to your nose, don't ever put dark colours
10:12 near your nose. It has to be all light and all the darkness on the outside. Okay. And
10:24 now I'm going to take one of my fluffy brushes and this is... I just love these brushes,
10:31 honestly. I have MAC brushes, I have Real Technique brushes, I have Sigma brushes. But
10:40 for that type of brush, which for me is just purely for blending, for blending when you
10:46 want to achieve like a softer look, is the Royal and Langnickel Silk Pro Crease Brush
10:53 in C430. And I get it on Amazon. Not very expensive. Absolutely love it. I have three
11:02 of them. And they do look each time a bit different. That one looks a bit different.
11:10 I use the same brush. But I don't use anything else for then because you can squash it quite
11:19 hard and just blend in it. And it blends beautifully. So I absolutely love that brush. Okay, so
11:35 that's another look. You could leave it like that now. It's still quite daytime, I think.
11:41 And if you were doing your eyeliner, you don't have to go with a black liquid eyeliner. What
11:46 I often do, I would take something very dark, dark brown eyeshadow, take a little angled
11:56 brush, stiff angled brush, you know, the one that you would use for your eyebrows like
12:00 this, wet it, go into there and then use this as a liner, mascara and off you go. So that
12:09 could be your other look. But now we're doing a bit of an evening look. So now I'm going
12:16 into the darkest colour and just patting it in that corner. Love this palette. It's so,
12:35 honestly, I think that this palette is actually perfect for ladies of our age, you know, that
12:42 have a bit hooded, crepey eyes. You can achieve really, really natural look with it or you
12:50 can go a bit more dramatic and they're not too shiny. They are the ones that have a bit
12:56 of shimmer in them and not too shimmery, you know, like some of the Urban Decay. So as
13:03 you can see, I'm going a bit darker, but then I'm blending again. It's almost like you stick
13:11 this brush in a hollow here and you just go in a little circular motion till you get the
13:20 desired blended look. And I find that good makeup is all about blending. So now this
13:32 look is becoming more of an evening look, but it is still all done with completely matte
13:42 eyeshadows because I am going now for more of an evening look. I'm going to go with that
13:49 dark colour right underneath here, so just on the outer corner. And you could wet that
14:03 as well if you wanted to, to get more intensity. Okay. Where's my brush? I'm going, I know
14:28 I put Brûlée over it, but I'm going with this light one. This is matte as well. It's
14:33 quite bright. And then I am going to go with that one under here. I actually really like
14:39 light, matte eyeshadows for highlighting the brows, sometimes, especially for like a daytime
14:47 look because sometimes when you put those really shimmery ones, it looks a bit overdone,
14:52 if you know what I mean. So I do often put just a matte shadow as a highlight. And of
15:05 course, if I wanted to make it even more dramatic, I just keep adding the dark colour right in
15:14 here and then just keep blending. And I must say that this sort of makeup where I go light
15:21 here and have really dark at the corners is my favourite, favourite look. And like I just
15:29 showed you, you can make it a day look or you can make it going out look. So I'm getting
15:41 more and more smoked out now. Okay, now I will do my liner. Right, I know what I do.
15:52 So I'll show you how I would do liner with just a eyeshadow. So let me take that angled
16:02 brush, little angled brush, and I will wet it. And I'm going to go into that darkest
16:09 eyeshadow. And can you see, it almost becomes a liquid eyeliner, but it's not as strong,
16:27 obviously, as if you used black liquid eyeliner. I can show you, because this look is quite
16:39 good as well. Someone asked me to do a makeup look without using anything black. Unfortunately,
16:46 I do not possess brown mascara. Mascara to me is very important. I like a lot of mascara,
16:53 so I never use brown one. But you could finish this look off with brown mascara. And I haven't
16:59 used anything black on this makeup. So I suppose that answers someone else's question. They
17:06 wanted a look without using anything black. But I've made it now proper party makeup,
17:24 didn't I? But you've seen the stages, how you can make it less party but more everyday.
17:32 So that's how you would do then this brown liner. But I will go over with the black now.
17:40 So I'm almost showing in. It's almost this makeup like from work to party. Okay, so I'm
17:48 going to do my black liner, and I will use the L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim. But
18:01 like I said, you could just leave it brown. Maybe I do another one, another tutorial for
18:18 matte eyeshadow, but just like really simple one eyeshadow. You know, like I did the other
18:24 day, my everyday look with just one eyeshadow. Obviously, the other one was very shimmery
18:30 and... Do you know what? I really like this look. I've never ever really done all matte.
18:41 I always use shimmer somewhere. But I think if you're doing matte eyeshadows, you really
18:55 need to make sure they are good quality because it's so much harder to blend matte eyeshadows
19:03 than shimmery ones. Much harder. Okay, I can't be bothered playing with that anymore. And
19:18 what I would also do, I would put it in my waterline. But you don't have to do this.
19:29 I'm always quite careful. Okay, and now mascara. Do you know what? Actually, I'm going to do
19:40 my eyebrows first. So let me brush them up. And I'm going to use today the Clinique one
19:52 in Deep Brown. I had few days now to use this and the MAC one, Lingering. And I think I'm
20:10 starting to like the Clinique one a bit better. So... Yes, I think I'm liking the Clinique
20:26 one better. But you live and learn. Okay, my eyebrows are not going to be done very
20:43 well because I would have to get much closer to my mirror and then you won't see me. So
20:52 this is not an eyebrow tutorial. Don't take much notice of my eyebrows at all. I'm not
21:01 good at doing eyebrows anyway. And I'm going to use a Gouache brow gel. Okay, and now
21:20 mascara as usual, my Lancome Dola is first. And then on top of that, Max Factor Experience.
21:40 These are my two mascaras that I reach for most of the time. I have about ten different
21:51 ones that I sometimes go for but I always go back to these two. And of course I could
22:03 use false lashes but I won't. Okay, so that would be the eyes. Now I would do my blush.
22:13 And what I'm going to try, remember when I did my whole video, I was waiting for the
22:20 Laura Mercier blush and this one is in Lotus Pink. Beautiful blush, it's got gorgeous finish
22:30 but it's got the most beautiful satin finish. So I take one of these brushes. I haven't
22:39 used it so this is the first time I'm using it. Oh, I love it. Oh, this is perfect, perfect
22:50 pink for me. It's like a rosy pink and it doesn't have any shimmer in it but it's very
22:58 satin, nice satin finish. So it's not very matte but it's not shimmery either. Mmm, gorgeous.
23:13 So that would be my blush. And what about the lips? What do you think I should do with
23:20 the lips? Well, okay, for my lips I think, hey, it's not very good. What I will do for
23:32 my lips, I use my, one of my favourite lip combos right now and it's the NYX Pickable
23:39 Neutral, then Laura Mercier Girly and my Nude Dior gloss in 732 Paradise. Yeah, this, I
24:09 think, combo is not too coral and not too pink because the Laura Mercier is like a pinky
24:17 coral and Paradise is more coral so when you put them together they're sort of in between.
24:39 Love this colour, it's gorgeous. And now the gloss.
25:02 Yeah, so that's the finished look for hooded eyes with matte eyeshadows. I hope you enjoyed
25:19 it, I hope it was helpful and I see you soon. Bye!
