00:00 Hey guys, it's Paula. Currently I am wearing a full face of makeup with everything except
00:05 my eye makeup. And I just, I feel so weird. Like I, I feel incomplete. There's a reason
00:11 that I wear eye makeup everyday, cause it just like makes me feel like a person. But
00:15 now I just feel like my eyebrows are gonna like pop out and attack somebody cause it's
00:18 like, too much. But the reason I look like this right now is because today I'm going
00:22 to be showing you how to make your eyes look brighter. The eye makeup just makes me so
00:27 happy, like I love doing it. And if you're gonna do it, why not do it so you look brighter,
00:31 more awake, you just like, you're ready to take on the day. So I'm gonna be sharing with
00:36 you some really easy tips on how to do that. So I'm basically just gonna be talking you
00:39 through how I do my eye makeup so you can look more awake in the mornings. So you know,
00:44 if you're going to class 8am, yeah that'll be fun, but just do your eye makeup and like
00:48 you'll look awake. Let's get started, shall we? Hey, I just got closer. I hope you're
00:53 okay with this. Are we at this point in our relationship? I think we're okay. So this
00:57 is gonna be a fairly simple makeup look. The first thing that I'm going to do is just apply
01:00 kind of like a light champagne shadow all over my lid. I'm not gonna go too much into
01:04 shadow because I think if you put too much in your crease or you do like so much of a
01:08 smoky look, that's more of like a going out at night look and it's not really what you
01:13 want to make your eyes brighter, to make you seem more awake. So I'm just gonna stick to
01:17 one eyeshadow color. Super boring, I know. But I'm using my Too Cosmetics palette. It
01:21 is basically just a rip off of the Naked palette. I'm obsessed with it. And I'm going to be
01:25 choosing this color right here. It's kind of shimmery and champagne-y and it's really
01:30 pretty. So I'm just gonna put that all over my lid.
01:32 Next, I'm going to be taking a black eyeshadow, which is also in this palette. It is this
01:41 one right here. And I'm going to be using a little teeny tiny brush and just putting
01:45 that on my upper lash line. I think sometimes with liquid eyeliner or gel eyeliner, it
01:49 can get a little harsh sometimes. So I'm going to be using just an eyeshadow and I'm just
01:53 gonna be very lightly smudging it on my upper lash line. You definitely want to try to put
01:57 something on your upper lash line because it does make your eyes look bigger. It makes
02:01 your lash line look like fuller. So it, I don't know, it just, it works okay.
02:06 Next step, this is probably one of the most important ones, is you want to take a nude
02:18 eyeliner pencil. This is the Chela Ivory Lace Highlighter. Pretty sure I got it in
02:24 an Ipsy bag or something. And you want to put this on your waterline. Now I do put black
02:28 on my waterline sometimes, but if I want to go for like a really awake, open look, this
02:34 is definitely the way to go because it kind of mirrors your eye color, like the white
02:39 of your eye. And then it extends that down to your waterline. So you just look a lot
02:43 more awake and it makes your eyes look bigger.
02:45 Now I am going to take the same black eyeshadow that I used on my upper lash line and I'm
02:52 going to put that on my lower lash line. And I'm gonna try to get as close to my waterline
03:00 as possible, but I don't want to put it in the waterline. The reason we're doing this
03:04 is to just make our eyes literally just look bigger. So if you put a little bit of black
03:08 or really any color that you want on your lower lash line, just go about halfway in
03:13 and it'll literally just make your eyes look like they're so much bigger.
03:20 The next step is probably the second most important step and it is to take a highlighter.
03:26 This is the Mary Lou Manizer from The Balm and it just looks like this. It's basically-
03:30 I have used a lot of this. It's basically just a really shimmery, um, shadow highlighter.
03:35 And you want to put this under your brow bone and in your inner corner. This just brightens
03:39 up your face so much. I do this every single day and if you don't do this in your everyday
03:44 makeup routine, definitely think about it cause it just makes you look so awake.
03:51 Now I'm going to curl my lashes. This is also a very important step just to get your lashes
04:01 like up and curled away from your eyes so you can see more of your eyes so you look
04:08 like... what?
04:10 And now it is time to tackle our lashes so I'm going to be using two mascaras today.
04:17 These are like my two favorite mascaras ever. The first one is the Great Lash Lots of Lashes,
04:24 literally amazing. I will show you the brush real quick. It looks like this so you can
04:28 tell it's kind of tapered at the end. It's really good at getting to every single lash
04:32 and just making sure it's really long. And then I like to layer the Rocket by Maybelline
04:36 on top of that. But this is definitely the best for like volume or just to make your
04:41 lashes look really full. So I like to focus this one at the base of my lashes to just
04:45 make them really full and then this one kind of gives me length and defines each of them.
04:52 So there we go. I'm all done. I'm just kidding, I only did one eye on purpose. It's actually
05:17 the new trend is to only do half of your face for makeup. I'm just kidding. The reason I
05:23 did this is to show you the comparison between no eye makeup and the bright eye makeup look.
05:29 So go ahead, take- take a gander here. Over here I just look like, oh well, yeah, she
05:35 woke up and went to class, that's kind of cool. And then over here it's like, oh wow,
05:39 she did her eye makeup but she looks awake. Look at this! I'm basically like giving voices
05:44 to my eyes, I don't know what I'm doing. But that is basically it for my how to make your
05:48 eyes brighter and make you look more awake. I hope you guys like these tips and if you
05:52 don't do some of these things, I would highly recommend trying them out or getting some
05:56 new products to try them out with because it really makes a difference in how your makeup
06:00 looks in the morning. Make sure you give this video a thumbs up if you like it and you want

06:31 The eye makeup just makes me like really happy, I really like doing it. But it is-
06:35 (laughs)
06:37 Like with too much in your crease and too much shading or anything- what am I trying to say?
06:42 Really like longating- longating? Don't think that's a word.
