00:00 Hi, I'm Pallavi Simmons, your makeup expert at Glamrs.com.
00:08 Well, I'm going to take the basic cat eye one step further and do something slightly
00:13 edgy, something that most people don't attempt.
00:15 And another thing is I'm going to have fun with it with a little bit of color instead
00:18 of doing the classic black.
00:19 I'm going to use a nice bright cobalt blue.
00:23 And let's see how that works on Diksha.
00:24 Well, I've already prepped Diksha's skin with a really light foundation and also done her
00:29 cheeks and lips.
00:30 And because when you're doing something like this, which is an edgy cat eye look and focuses
00:34 on the eyes, everything else needs to be more soft.
00:37 So I'm going to get started.
00:39 To begin with, I'm going to mix the pigment that I'm going to use.
00:42 I'm not using a liner.
00:43 And I'm going to show you how to mix a pigment.
00:46 I'm using an Inglot body pigment in a nice blue.
00:49 And I'm going to use Duralyme, which is a medium.
00:52 So this can be used to water down any kind of powdery pigment or eye shadow to create
00:57 a slightly more stronger or intense color application.
01:01 You just need to take a tiny amount of that and mix it with the pigment or eye shadow.
01:07 You can use either.
01:09 And create a liner-like consistency.
01:12 Simply mix.
01:13 When you're quite satisfied with what you have, you can use a liner brush and get started.
01:21 I'm going to just set it aside.
01:23 I'm going to use a very new pencil.
01:25 So you can use a lip pencil or maybe an eyebrow pencil.
01:28 So you want to just draw the basic line and go over it with the line so you don't get
01:33 it too wrong.
01:34 So you can make the corrections while you're on this step itself.
01:38 So using a very light pencil, one that you can see of course, just make your basic shape
01:45 of an eyeliner, the one that you desire.
01:48 Now this would be any regular liner.
01:50 Pick it up.
01:55 Wing it a bit.
01:58 And now, when you're doing the liner inside on the crease, you need to open your eye because
02:02 you can't tell the curve of your eye otherwise.
02:05 Because I'm doing it on another person, I'm going to have her close her eye.
02:08 But if you did it, you would need to follow this line.
02:12 Just like that and inside for this look.
02:14 Now work into the crease.
02:17 But not under.
02:20 Give yourself a guideline.
02:21 And take it as far as you wish.
02:32 Just to make sure that you have some kind of a shape there.
02:36 Now sharpen your pencil and do the other side so then you know that you have both the sides
02:40 packed.
02:41 So I'm just doing the same thing on this side.
02:54 So I've drawn myself a little guideline.
02:59 And you can be as dramatic as you want.
03:01 Take a fair amount on your brush because you want a little play time.
03:06 Take a fine point brush like that.
03:17 So now I'm beginning to take it up.
03:38 Work slowly and very patiently.
04:01 What you're basically doing is making a nice V here.
04:04 So you can thicken the band as you please.
04:12 Since she has fairly wide eyes, I'm just going a little thicker here.
04:26 And I'm just going to continue on the other side.
04:38 I've kept the eyes clean but that doesn't mean I haven't put any product there.
04:41 I've cleaned up, I've color corrected, used concealer, powder, set it.
04:46 And then it forms a perfect canvas for something like this.
05:12 Yeah I think I've got it.
05:14 I'm just cleaning up a little bit around the eyes.
05:17 Now I'm using True Match concealer from L'Oreal.
05:22 It's kind of pale so what I want to do is just paint around the liner a bit.
05:28 Take a tiny amount on a paddle brush.
05:30 It shouldn't really go on as color.
05:32 I'm getting as close as possible to the liner and cleaning it up.
05:52 I'm going to curl her lashes for more effect.
05:57 Make sure that the edges are really curly.
06:00 Make sure the eye area is really clean.
06:03 And now use a generous amount of mascara.
06:11 Well I'm going to use a mascara by Bourjois.
06:13 It's called Max Definition.
06:16 Now what I'm doing here with the mascara is I'm going to try and pick the lashes up.
06:20 Particularly in the direction of the wing.
06:33 I'm going to just offset this look with a really nice simple looking bronze.
06:37 Just so that her hands are not bare.
06:40 I'm using a Faces nail polish in Pink Bronze.
06:49 It's quite a sheer color so you might have to go over with a couple of coats.
07:06 With that there's Diksha looking seriously sexy.
07:09 I hope you like this one.
07:22 Bye!
