00:34 - Hi guys, thanks for watching.
00:36 Got a little makeup tutorial for you today.
00:38 Just a kind of neutral, smoky brown look
00:41 that I'm wearing right now.
00:43 I hope that this one goes through.
00:45 Yesterday I spent about three or four hours
00:47 trying to get the same video up
00:48 and for whatever reason,
00:50 it just would not load to the computer.
00:52 So hopefully this one goes through
00:54 and I hope that this is a look that you can wear.
00:57 It's pretty basic, so it's appropriate for daytime
01:00 or going out at night, whatever you could possibly use for.
01:03 So let me know what you think about it
01:04 and if you have any further ideas for next time,
01:07 I'd love to hear them.
01:08 Thanks for watching.
01:09 All right, so starting out,
01:15 I've already primed my skin using the Smashbox
01:19 Photo Finish Pore Minimizing
01:20 and the Magic Lumi by L'Oreal.
01:22 Then I'm going in with my Becca Cosmetics.
01:26 This is the brightening under eye corrector.
01:28 Just kind of focusing that on the inner corners of the eyes
01:30 so that I've got a little bit of coverage
01:32 before going in with the eye shadow.
01:34 I like to do this before I put my concealer on later
01:38 just so that I've got a little bit of highlighting
01:40 and it just helps to cancel out those under eye circles
01:42 a little bit better.
01:43 Blend, blend, blend, blend.
01:49 I do put it on the top of my lip
01:51 as another form of highlighting
01:53 just before my foundation goes on.
01:56 Then I'm going in with the LORAC Pro 2 palette.
01:59 This one, I love all of the colors in it.
02:02 It's the one I used on my wedding day.
02:04 I'm gonna use the light brown shade
02:06 in the crease of my eyes just to begin that dimension.
02:25 All right, and next I'm gonna go in with the color nectar
02:27 in the same palette,
02:28 focusing this one on the base of the eyelid.
02:31 I am gonna go in with another color later,
02:33 but I want this to be kind of the base
02:35 so that there's a little bit more
02:37 for the other color to grab onto.
02:39 And it matches my dress very, very well.
02:53 Now I'm gonna go in with the darkest shade of the palette,
02:55 which I believe is called cocoa.
02:57 This one I'm gonna put on the outer corner,
03:00 focusing on the crease,
03:01 but also making a little bit of a C shape
03:03 so that I almost create a smoky eye.
03:05 Then I'm going in with my original Real Techniques brush
03:18 that had the light brown on it
03:19 just to blend out that darker shade,
03:21 pushing it up just a little bit,
03:23 making it a little bit more smoked out
03:24 and less concentrated.
03:26 This is gonna help the other color
03:28 to really blend nicely with it.
03:30 Now I have my Mac Fix Plus,
03:37 plus, ooh, yikes,
03:39 and I'm just spraying my Urban Decay eye shadow brush.
03:42 With that, I'm gonna use the cat eye palette from Too Faced,
03:46 and I'm using that metallic warm brown color,
03:48 putting this one on the base of the lid
03:50 on top of that nectar from the other palette.
03:52 Kind of patting this one in,
03:53 that'll keep it more foiled looking.
03:56 It'll give you that really nice sheen
03:57 with the metallic shades.
03:59 And you can definitely build it as well.
04:03 Wetting the brush is gonna help
04:05 to keep everything really nice and shiny.
04:19 Here you'll see me going in with my crease brush.
04:22 Again, this just has a little bit
04:24 of that Too Faced color on it,
04:25 just brushing it underneath the eye
04:27 in a smoked out kind of way,
04:29 just so that we've got that color
04:30 that's gonna match instead of leaving
04:32 the under eye completely light.
04:34 Now I have a Mac eyeliner.
04:40 This one's called Earthline.
04:41 It's an automatic pencil.
04:42 I love this color.
04:43 It's really natural.
04:45 I could have gotten darker
04:46 and probably should have gone with a black
04:49 and done more of a defined line,
04:50 but this one is just gonna keep it
04:53 kind of on the lighter side,
04:54 since it is kind of the middle of the day here.
04:56 And it will also just give it
04:58 a little bit more defined line to the lash line.
05:01 Now I'm applying my mascara.
05:10 This one is by Tarte.
05:11 It is the Lights Camera Flashes.
05:13 It's a more dramatic version
05:14 of the original Lights Camera Splashes, lashes?
05:19 I think I have all of them,
05:19 but this one's really nice and dramatic.
05:21 Going in and just kind of wiggling it up
05:23 to try to get a really long lash,
05:27 and again, defining that lash line on both sides.
05:30 Trying really hard not to poke myself in the eye.
05:36 It's kind of hard looking into this camera lens.
05:39 Oh, those faces.
05:42 Ugh.
05:43 (laughs)
05:46 Now I'm gonna grab my bottom lash mascara.
05:48 This one is a favorite of mine.
05:51 It's so tiny and cute.
05:52 Look at that little brush.
05:53 Going in, just dusting it over the bottom lashes.
05:56 This one, if you don't have it, go get it.
05:57 It's $10 and it is amazing.
06:00 Or is it $20?
06:01 I don't know, but it's worth it.
06:03 I've never had anything last on my bottom lashes
06:05 all day long without smudging.
06:07 I laugh a lot and it's always wearing underneath my eyes.
06:10 This one does not budge at all.
06:14 Now I'm going into my foundation.
06:16 I've got two shades of the Estee Lauder
06:20 Double Wear Foundation with my oily skin.
06:22 This one seems to work the best for me.
06:24 I'm gonna blend them together.
06:26 I'm kind of in between shades right now.
06:27 The lighter one is what I normally wear
06:29 during the fall and winter.
06:31 The darker one is what I wear
06:32 only when I have my spray tans.
06:34 Right now I'm kind of wearing away my tanning,
06:37 so I'm somewhere in between the two.
06:39 And I'm just dotting it on with my Sigma brush.
06:44 Before blending it, I did also spray that brush
06:47 with the MAC Fix Plus.
06:48 Blend, blend, blend, blend, blend, blend, blend.
06:55 Now I'm going to go into the under eye area.
07:10 This, what I'm about to put on,
07:11 is a mixture between the Dior Skin Flash,
07:16 I don't know if you can read that one,
07:18 and then I've got my NARS Creamy Concealer,
07:20 or Radiant Concealer I think it's called,
07:22 and the shade Vanilla.
07:23 I blend this two together
07:25 so that it's a little bit more highlighted,
07:27 a little bit more radiant.
07:29 And since I did already put in my brightening corrector,
07:35 I've got a lot of dark circles out already,
07:37 so this one's more so for highlighting,
07:39 and I do always do the top lip as well.
07:41 (lips smacking)
07:43 After blending out the concealer under eye
08:08 and down the center of my face,
08:09 I'm gonna go in and set that.
08:11 I use the Too Faced Cocoa Contour Palette.
08:13 Oops, I love this palette so much.
08:16 I've been using only this
08:18 for basically all of my bronzing, highlighting,
08:22 and everything else on day to day.
08:24 So you'll see I'm gonna use the lighter shade,
08:26 the light cocoa, to set my under eyes with,
08:28 and I'm just kind of dusting that on
08:29 with my Sigma brush on both sides,
08:32 down the center of the face,
08:33 and up onto my forehead just a little bit.
08:36 The color of it, normally if I'm going really dramatic,
08:39 will really lighten up, but you can kind of control that,
08:42 so it doesn't have to be super dark or super light.
08:44 Then I'm going in with the medium cocoa
08:47 with another, this brush is from Sephora,
08:49 it's the Blush Contour.
08:50 I really like this brush as well for this purpose,
08:53 and I'm just highlighting, or excuse me,
08:55 contouring underneath those cheekbones.
08:57 I do contour my nose sometimes,
09:00 and then on the tops of my head, underneath the chin,
09:04 I'll do a little bit underneath my lip.
09:06 Looking good.
09:09 I'm gonna want to buff that out a little bit,
09:12 so I'm gonna use another bronzer.
09:13 This one's from Victoria's Secret.
09:14 I really like this one.
09:15 I got it on the semi-annual sale a couple years ago,
09:18 and I really, really like it.
09:19 It's got a little bit of a shimmer to it,
09:20 so blending that one out.
09:23 This is just a Real Techniques brush,
09:25 and I'm working it up.
09:26 You don't ever wanna work it down.
09:28 That'll kind of drop the structure of your face,
09:31 so to keep those cheekbones high,
09:32 you always wanna push it up.
09:34 Dust it over my nose, on top of the head,
09:36 give you kind of the sun-kissed glow,
09:38 wearing that bright coral.
09:40 Then I'm gonna grab my blush.
09:44 This blush is the Dream Bouncy.
09:47 I think it's called Rose Petal.
09:48 It's the corally color.
09:49 I don't know how to apply this one.
09:51 I tried doing it.
09:52 You'll see I'm holding my blush brush there.
09:55 Then I decided against it, tapped it on with my fingers,
09:58 went back in with a Sigma brush,
10:00 so I found that, I guess the brush,
10:03 the Sigma brush is the best way,
10:05 and that part of it did fall off on me.
10:08 But using that brush, I kind of just tapped it
10:09 and buffed it upwards.
10:11 Now I'm grabbing a highlighter from Becca Cosmetics.
10:22 This one is the Moonstone.
10:24 I have been living and breathing by the Champagne Pop,
10:27 but I wanted something a little bit lighter
10:29 rather than that gold shade, so this is the Moonstone,
10:32 and I'm highlighting on the top of my cheekbones.
10:35 I do always do the Cupid's Bow as well.
10:38 Go a little bit higher up onto the brow bones.
10:42 Now you're gonna see that I went ahead and skipped forward.
10:46 I did my brows off camera because I could not focus.
10:49 I didn't know where to look while I was doing them.
10:52 I did use the Anastasia Dip Brow for that one
10:54 in the shade Blonde.
10:56 Now I'm gonna go in and line those lips.
10:58 This one is by Makeup Forever.
10:59 It's the Aqua Lip.
11:01 The shade is 22C.
11:02 It's just a nude kind of color.
11:04 It doesn't really even show up that much,
11:06 but it feels really nice on the lips.
11:09 Not drying, not mattified, or anything like that.
11:12 And I do kind of buff it in.
11:14 You'll see me going towards the center of the lip
11:15 just so we don't have any harsh lines,
11:17 even though it's a really natural color.
11:19 Now I'm gonna go in with this one from the House of Dolls.
11:22 I saw this one all over YouTube.
11:24 The color's called She.
11:25 It's a beautiful, corally, pinky nude,
11:28 and I just really like it.
11:29 It's nice and creamy,
11:30 and I'm putting that one all over the lips.
11:33 Now I've got my Melted Lip Cream,
11:47 or Liquid Lipstick, I think it's called.
11:49 This one's Melted Sugar.
11:50 It is a nude color.
11:52 Focusing it on the inner parts of the lips here.
11:55 I don't wanna cover up that lipstick shade, the pink one.
11:58 I want to really just focus on the inner side of the lip
12:01 so that it makes your lips appear more full.
12:05 A little bit hard to tell on camera here.
12:07 And after smudging those guys together, I'm done.
12:11 And I am just going to spray myself
12:13 with a Kat Von D Lock and Loaded,
12:16 Fully Locked and Loaded, something like that.
12:17 It's a cucumber-y smelling setting spray.
12:20 And that is it.
12:22 (upbeat music)
12:25 (upbeat music)
12:28 (upbeat music)
12:30 (upbeat music)
