00:00 Bonjour and welcome to the Lompod Makeup Atelier.
00:08 Today I'm going to do a flicky liner and lashes look, reminiscent of all the famous 60s French
00:15 icons.
00:16 So I'm starting by applying a wash of pink shadow over my lid, quite softly.
00:27 And just blending it out towards the brow.
00:30 And then on top of that I'm going to use a matte brown eyeshadow.
00:33 For this I need to keep my eyes open and look straight ahead.
00:37 And just draw a sort of line just above the socket line.
00:44 And this was the way most of the girls in the 60s wore their eyeshadow.
00:50 You don't need to blend it too much because it was very much part of the look.
00:59 So now I'm using Lena Plume in black and this is an absolutely key part of any 60s makeup.
01:07 Taking it all along the roots of the lashes.
01:09 You can make it as thick or as thin as you like.
01:12 Now different icons wore it in different ways so some people really winged it out and made
01:17 it very feline.
01:20 Lots of girls used to just drag it down at the outer corner to make the eye very round
01:24 or you can just finish it and sort of taper it off.
01:26 So depending on your eye shape and how you like to wear it, I'm actually going to just
01:33 have it kind of come down a little bit at the outer edge because this was how lots of
01:40 the icons did it.
01:42 Another thing you can do if you're doing that as well is you can draw a couple of lashes
01:46 underneath if your lashes are quite sparse before you actually start applying your mascara.
01:50 You can do particularly the outer edge.
01:53 I mean not all 60s icons did this but it's a good way of sort of cheating quite a heavy
02:01 lower lash line and once you put your mascara on it kind of blends in but it's quite a good
02:05 way of cheating that very 60s look.
02:09 And once you've got the basic shape just keep going over just to make sure the line is even.
02:14 Fill in any gaps and if you want to thicken up slightly to suit your eye shape you can.
02:24 And then when you're trying to match up the two flicks, whether you're going high or sort
02:29 of winging lower as I am, get to the end and then check back at the previous eye and look
02:35 straight ahead in the mirror.
02:37 Sort of step back a little bit and then you can map out where you want the angle to be.
02:43 So looking back at this one you could either do a little dot at the end of where you want
02:50 it to finish or you can just sort of start to paint it whilst looking back at the previous.
02:57 This will just help you get your angles right.
03:04 The quintessentially 60s look is very, very lashy so I'm going to use Hypnose Doll Eyes
03:10 for this look.
03:11 I'm going to put lots of mascara all the way along the top lashes.
03:25 Making sure I get all those little lashes at the inner corner and then with the lower
03:29 lashes just really build up the mascara so you get that very kind of wide look.
03:38 And because I've already drawn a couple of lashes on as well with the liner, that really
03:43 increases the density.
03:50 All about the lower lashes I think the 60s.
03:53 On to blush, I'm going to do quite a fresh and pretty pink blush.
03:57 Just really blend that in.
04:03 And finally a nice nude lip so the focus stays all on the eyes.
04:15 So that's my 60s inspired makeup look and I have to say it is one of my favourite eras
04:20 for makeup and it's not too difficult to do either.
04:24 So let me know how you get on and do come and see me again soon at the Lancôme Makeup
04:29 Atelier.
