00:00 [applause]
00:02 Hmm.
00:04 I want to, um, I taught this at the 9 o'clock service, of course.
00:08 Um, I want to encourage you,
00:12 maybe to listen to the 9 o'clock service, which will be on the podcast.
00:17 I want to, I want to talk to you about what I sense and feel
00:22 is happening right now,
00:25 because I want you to
00:28 understand what is normal and to not be
00:32 confounded or confused about how things are moving
00:36 around you, maybe even moving in you.
00:40 And, uh, so I always like to explain, um,
00:44 much like, I guess, the sons of Issachar in scripture, how they understood
00:48 God had given them the understanding of times and seasons
00:52 and what Israel ought to do. It's important to know what season you're in,
00:56 and you see it right, you'll know what to do in that season.
01:00 And so you won't be, um, staying in a go season
01:04 or going in a stay season. Um, um,
01:08 embracing in a releasing season or releasing in an embracing season.
01:12 It's important, and I believe that I have a little bit of an understanding
01:16 of what's happening, not only individually, but corporately.
01:20 Do you understand that we're a part of,
01:24 we're not silos,
01:28 we're not just individuals going out
01:32 and doing destiny and doing purpose and doing our thing,
01:36 but there's actually a connection to you and the universe that God created.
01:40 Mm-hmm. Hey.
01:44 That's why in Romans 8, one of my favorite passages of scripture, I can't get off of Romans 8,
01:48 and it basically says that the earnest expectation of the creation
01:52 eagerly waits for the revealing of the children of God.
01:56 And then it keeps going, and it says, "Because the creation,"
02:00 which is the universe, the universe is not God, the universe is what God created.
02:04 Hello, somebody. Let's level set here.
02:08 Right? It's what God created, but it does have a personality,
02:12 and the personality, as it relates to you and I,
02:16 is expectation. So the created thing
02:20 is in great expectation of you and I
02:24 being who we truly are. Not who we think we are,
02:28 but who we truly are, and who we truly are
02:32 are children of God. And that's a whole
02:36 other teaching, but the point that I'm making is
02:40 everything around you is connected to you.
02:44 Don't make me feel like preaching and teaching.
02:48 Everything around you is connected to you. Everything you see is connected to you.
02:52 Everything that makes you sick is connected to you. Everything that makes you happy is
02:56 connected to you. Everything that scares you to death is connected to you.
03:00 It's connected to us ultimately becoming
03:04 and being everything that God has created us to be, and that's why there's
03:08 language in the scripture that talks about us being transformed,
03:12 right, by the renewing of our mind, that we might, this is Romans 12,
03:16 I'm not going to do it like this today, I'm just going to flow for the sake of time.
03:20 If you don't let me do this, I'm going to be here, I'm going to have you here for about three or four hours.
03:24 So just let me do this. Just say flow, PT, flow, flow, flow. Okay, so the scripture
03:28 says in Romans 12 that we are transformed by the renewing of our
03:32 mind, watch this, that we might prove or actualize
03:36 that good and perfect will of God. So in order for the good and perfect
03:40 will of God to be produced in our lives and through
03:44 our lives for the sake of everything around our lives, there has to be transformation.
03:48 In another place, Paul talks about that transformation
03:52 as something that happens from glory to glory.
03:56 So you and I go from one glory
04:00 to another glory.
04:04 This is going to get real good. We go from, how do we go from one
04:08 glory to another glory? That means, watch this, that our essence has to
04:12 change. In other words, you and I
04:16 cannot fulfill what we have been called to
04:20 and created to fulfill without changing.
04:24 And I don't mean a cute little change, a new hairstyle,
04:28 hey, losing some weight or gaining some weight, however
04:32 you roll. None of the, some of the things that we can do to
04:36 change our appearances, that's not what he's, this is not the transformation he's talking about. This is not, you don't go from
04:40 glory to glory by changing, by changing yourself.
04:44 You go from glory to glory through a process, watch this, that you
04:48 cannot be the impetus for. All you can do
04:52 is surrender into it, but you cannot, you can't change your glory.
04:56 Are you tracking with me? But you can surrender into
05:00 the process that changes your glory
05:04 because we are on a journey back to God's original intention
05:08 and design for our lives. So when you get saved, it is not an ending,
05:12 it is a beginning. Now you are on a journey of transformation so that
05:16 you can begin to look like and to project
05:20 what you were created to look like and to project
05:24 and ultimately to produce that type of change that all of creation is
05:28 eagerly waiting for. Are you hearing me?
05:32 And so what's happening in this season right now, and this is where things
05:36 get a little bit challenging, is we are in a season of what I like to call
05:40 reorientation. Because
05:44 when you're going, when you and I are going from glory to glory, and mind you,
05:48 going from glory to glory is not changing a little bit, it is a
05:52 complete revolution. Oh, I've got to say that
05:56 better. You going from glory to glory is not you,
06:00 a part of you getting upgraded.
06:04 It is the whole of you getting upgraded.
06:08 Come on somebody, don't you play with me. It is the whole of
06:12 you. I go from glory to glory. Every time I go from glory
06:16 to glory, I complete a cycle of personal
06:20 divine evolution until I look more, I'm looking more
06:24 and more like Jesus with every cycle of revolution, glory to glory.
06:28 Are you tracking with me? Which means that this is
06:32 not an easy process. This is not a
06:36 just a trivial process.
06:40 This is a very precise process
06:44 that God induces.
06:48 And God induces us in this process and we surrender
06:52 to the process because we understand the process. In fact,
06:56 you walk with the Lord long enough, you'll begin to expect the process
07:00 and not freak out in the midst of the process because I'll tell you
07:04 right now, the process looks like chaos.
07:08 Hey, I teach a little bit today. It looks
07:12 like chaos because watch this, not going to like this, but I'm going to say it
07:16 and I hope you hear it the right way because God has to
07:20 destroy one version of you in order to produce and manifest another version
07:24 of you. It's kind of like the process
07:28 in fact that interest when Paul talks about being transformed by the renewing of your mind
07:32 that word transformation is the same word that was used
07:36 to describe a metamorphosis, the caterpillar becoming a butterfly.
07:40 And you know that caterpillar dies in the cocoon, right?
07:44 Yeah, bye-bye caterpillar. And yet
07:48 that caterpillar is sustained by the cocoon, dead but sustained. It's almost
07:52 like a resurrection. And that caterpillar comes back with wings
07:56 on another level and it has a different glory now, a different brilliance, is able to
08:00 move and function differently. That's how our process from glory to glory is.
08:04 Can you imagine how crazy that cocoon must feel?
08:08 Dark, disoriented.
08:12 Let's just take the process back and let's give the process a personality.
08:16 I was doing alright
08:20 on the ground. I mean I wasn't
08:24 moving fast but I was still moving. My food was right there. It was low.
08:28 I was eating good. Then next thing you know I stop moving
08:32 and there's no more sunshine around me and everything
08:36 is dark. And watch this. And how I used to connect with the
08:40 universe, how I used to connect with my world, even how
08:44 I used to feed myself, now all of a sudden changes.
08:48 Can you imagine how disorienting
08:52 that process is? See I share this with you. I'm not here
08:56 to talk about butterflies and caterpillars. I share this with you because some of you are in a season
09:00 and it feels like chaos and it feels like disorientation and you can't
09:04 do what you used to do to get fed and you can't do what you used to do to
09:08 feel comfortable and you can sense that something is going on but you don't quite
09:12 know what it is and it's confusing and I don't know how it's playing out. It might
09:16 play itself out in relationships getting a little funny. It might play itself out in money getting funny.
09:20 It might even play itself out in sickness.
09:24 No matter how it's playing itself out, it's
09:28 chaotic and it's a bit unsettling and here's
09:32 the crazy thing. It's much like the cocoon.
09:36 You can't really see a way forward and you don't see
09:40 your wings yet and you've never seen
09:44 a you with wings before.
09:48 That's a crazy process and yet
09:52 it's a necessary process and so we're in this season right now of
09:56 reorientation.
10:00 For some of you it might feel like a shaking.
10:04 It might feel like a shaking. Like everything now is
10:08 shaking and I'm trying to figure
10:12 out what's happening. Speaking of shaking, you know if you
10:16 read the scripture often times when someone's getting delivered, the
10:20 scripture say that they convulse or they shake. You've seen that before?
10:24 Jesus came and he's healing folk. I think I talked about it in a teaching recently and
10:28 first it starts shaking and you know what I mean and it's shaking like something is, something
10:32 bad is happening to them but that's really not the case. They're being reoriented.
10:36 They're going through this process,
10:40 this physiological process of reorienting
10:44 into themselves because as long as they had that spirit on them,
10:48 that spirit invades the whole of them and determines
10:52 how they move, how they function, and how they act. So when they're getting
10:56 delivered, they're actually becoming a whole new person all over again and that
11:00 shaking that's taking place, that convulsing represents a reorientation
11:04 to what is now new.
11:08 And I had never seen that before. I had never seen the
11:12 connection between an individual shaking
11:16 and the fact that God says in the word that everything that can
11:20 be shaking will be shaken so that that which cannot be shaken shall remain
11:24 so we recognize that shaking is actually a part of development.
11:28 It's actually a part
11:32 of being established. Oh I feel the Holy Ghost.
11:36 And we need to be shaken.
11:40 Why? Because sometimes there are things connected to us
11:44 that cannot go where God is trying
11:48 to get us to go and we don't have
11:52 the discipline or the wholeness to let those things go.
11:56 And so it's what I call involuntary deliverance
12:00 is when God says, "Okay, since you won't let it go, I'm going
12:04 to have to shake this thing up. I'm going to shake everything
12:08 that can be shaken so that you can get down to the
12:12 raw material that I can work with."
12:16 You know what I'm saying? She knows what I'm saying. The babies get it. I'm telling you.
12:20 Young people get it. We can say, "Lah."
12:24 To get you down. This process that feels
12:28 chaotic, this process that feels like, "Man, all my connection
12:32 points, all my touch points, all my little go-to's don't seem to be working
12:36 anymore,"
12:40 is the process of taking you from
12:44 one level of glory to the next level of glory
12:48 because all of creation is waiting for you. Can I talk to you like
12:52 this today? I hyped you up earlier. We got through that.
12:56 We got moved. We got healing and all that kind of stuff that's happened. But remember, that's never the goal.
13:00 That's to get rid of the distraction.
13:04 So we can talk like this. This kingdom talk.
13:08 You understand what I'm saying?
13:12 This involuntary deliverance
13:16 because we say we want change, but we
13:20 prove that we do not want change. It's like
13:24 we want change, but we don't want to change.
13:28 I don't need to change. I just need that situation to change and God is saying, "Yeah, but
13:32 you and the situation are connected."
13:36 There's some situations that won't change until you change.
13:40 Y'all quiet. Y'all shouting earlier. We were dancing all up in here.
13:44 It's already done in the name of the son. Y'all's with me then.
13:48 We were cracking. This was popping up in here. And now y'all like, "Oh."
13:52 Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let me in there.
13:56 Let me up in there.
14:00 Involuntary deliverance.
14:04 Well, God says, "I'm about to shake up your world
14:08 and you will not find peace in the normal places."
14:12 We know He's the Prince of Peace, but what do we do
14:16 when God disrupts our peace to move us to a different place?
14:20 In a different position
14:24 so that we can go to another level of glory?
14:28 What do I mean by glory?
14:32 What are these terms? PTD glory? What are you talking about? Let's talk about glory.
14:36 Glory is a Hebrew word. We're talking about the glory of God and we were creating the image of God.
14:40 So when He talks about us going to glory from glory to glory, we're talking about growing
14:44 in the glory of God. We should reflect God and the more that we reflect God,
14:48 the more the universe will respond to us.
14:52 Bible says that all of creation, the earnest expectation
14:56 of creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the children of God.
15:00 Which means, so the children of God, not the Christians.
15:04 Hey, didn't say that. All of creation is eagerly waiting for the creation.
15:08 Didn't say that, child. Because some of y'all, not y'all.
15:12 You call yourself a Christian, but you're not a child of God.
15:16 You don't look nothing like God. You don't love like God. You ain't got no power like God.
15:20 You can't come up with solutions like God. The wisdom like God.
15:24 You're connected to Christ via title.
15:28 But not essence. Jesus was a problem solver.
15:32 Jesus walked in glory. He walked in authority. He had wisdom.
15:36 He opened his mouth and stuff started happening.
15:40 He would walk through places the demons would just tense up. Why?
15:44 Because of the light of His glory.
15:48 Because of who He was. Peter was so full of Jesus and was so full of the Holy Spirit.
15:52 He would walk by and people would get healed literally by His shadow.
15:56 It wasn't His shadow that was healing. It was the essence
16:00 of His glory.
16:04 Yeah. So glory to glory
16:08 is not our own glory. That's fake glory.
16:12 That's fading glory. No, it's
16:16 God's glory. What is God's glory? It's a Hebrew word
16:20 for glory that's associated with God. The glory of God.
16:24 It's a Hebrew word, "chabad." And it literally means, in the true
16:28 sense of the term, it literally means weight. But not weight in the bad sense.
16:32 Weight in a good sense. It's the essence of God. I think they've got notes up there.
16:36 God's splendor.
16:40 His word. His glory. We're going from glory to glory. We should begin to reflect
16:44 God's splendor. Abundance.
16:48 His richness. Dignity.
16:52 Honor. Reputation.
16:56 God, watch this. God in this season wants to
17:00 upgrade you so that you become a weighty person, not a shallow
17:04 person. Not a shallow...
17:08 But you've got some weight on you
17:12 and you're not tossed to and fro
17:16 and you don't get, you know, somebody says something to you and that just
17:20 destroys you. Sometimes going from glory to glory
17:24 in this new cycle of who you are is God getting your weight up.
17:28 But the process, family, the process. Oh my God.
17:32 The process is cold blooded.
17:36 I ain't even gonna lie. I'll be honest with you, when you're
17:40 in the process, sometimes if you don't hear messages like this
17:44 to tell you it's normal to feel the way you feel, you will even question whether or not God is
17:48 with you. Oh my God.
17:52 It will look so foreign and it will be so unfamiliar
17:56 with the moments that you attribute
18:00 to God being with you. You know those moments that you attribute, you know, your high moments.
18:04 Come on, let's give you 100. Blessings are so
18:08 difficult to truly decipher
18:12 because we think a blessing is when God gives us the job, gives us the
18:16 role, gives us the boo, gives us the money, gives us the house, gives us the car.
18:20 That's not really a great blessing. It's
18:24 nice, yes, oh God, thank you, whatever.
18:28 The greatest blessing
18:32 is when God blesses you spiritually, when he makes you
18:36 something, right? For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper.
18:40 Come on, you. That's the greatest blessing because those things will fade.
18:44 Your house will fade. Come on, you buy a car, the new model comes out next year. You're mad.
18:48 They change the front end. Now everybody knows.
18:52 Come on, let's keep it, come on, I've been there. I'm mad. Oh, why didn't
18:56 you tell me? No wonder you were discounting it. You're getting rid of the new anyway.
19:00 All that stuff's going to fade.
19:04 The blessing of God, watch this, it says
19:08 the blessing of God, it makes rich and he has no sorrow with it.
19:12 Spiritual blessings, we have to learn to get excited
19:16 about spiritual blessings when God is blessing us from the
19:20 inside out and changing our lives. We need to be more excited about
19:24 that than any other type of blessing.
19:28 Are you tracking with me?
19:32 Sometimes we get confused about what a blessing is.
19:36 Sometimes when God's got his hand, see we think that God's got his hand on us
19:40 when we feel like we're walking in faith and everybody's calling our name.
19:44 Everybody looking at us.
19:48 Sometimes you're in the middle of a blessing when God's got you alone, he's got you
19:52 isolated, he's got you over here, ain't nobody calling you. You can't get
19:56 nobody to call you. You can't buy a phone call, but he's developing
20:00 you on the inside and when he gets finished with you
20:04 on the inside, everybody's going to know it. If that's your word,
20:08 holler at me real quick.
20:12 [applause]
20:16 You've got to know
20:20 what a blessing really is. Do me a favor,
20:24 turn to your neighbor and say, "You're blessed, you're blessed, you're blessed, you're
20:28 blessed. You're right in the middle
20:32 of a blessing."
20:36 So we're talking about
20:40 going from glory to glory. That's what
20:44 the reorientation process
20:48 is all about. It's to get you
20:52 to another level of you.
20:56 Hey. It's to get you
21:00 to another dimension of you.
21:04 And the path to that you
21:08 is tricky, it's lonely, it's
21:12 confusing, it's chaotic, it's full of disappointments.
21:16 I'm going to say that again. It's full of disappointments.
21:20 Because we have this
21:24 idea of what it takes to be blessed.
21:28 God, if you do A, B, and C, because I'm so wise, God.
21:32 I was here. I've been here longer than you, Lord.
21:36 I know how to rock this thing.
21:40 If you do A, B, and C, trust me, Lord.
21:44 And God says,
21:48 "No, no, no. I know that's how you would bless you. That's why you're in the situation that you're in."
21:52 So let me
21:56 really bless you.
22:00 And so, this
22:04 involuntary deliverance is when God begins
22:08 to start messing with your life.
22:12 God starts messing with your peace.
22:16 Who preaches this? No one preaches this.
22:20 He is the Prince of Peace. Hallelujah!
22:24 Yeah, he's also the king who will disrupt your peace.
22:28 To get you to a greater peace.
22:32 What if the withdrawal of peace, and really it's just
22:36 not even the withdrawal of peace. You know what it is? He's the Prince of Peace, which means that in His presence there's peace.
22:40 So what God will do is, He won't withdraw the peace. He'll just withdraw
22:44 His presence from places and stages He no longer is.
22:48 And puts you in this process where you have to play
22:52 hide and seek. You know, it's a hide and seek game now, right? It's the glory of the Lord to hide a thing.
22:56 Or to conceal a thing. But it's the glory of the king to search it out.
23:00 So you have to understand the process of God. When God moves and all of a sudden you're in chaos,
23:04 don't worry. It's to get something out of you.
23:08 It's to pull something out of you.
23:12 And sometimes what He wants to pull out of you is pursuit.
23:16 Because sometimes when you get settled into that place of peace, you lose pursuit.
23:20 Ya'll mad at me today.
23:24 Ya'll like, "I shouldn't have come today. I shouldn't have come."
23:28 You'll be here next week too. How about that? I'm going to get you again.
23:32 Pentecost Sunday.
23:36 Because, watch this.
23:40 God is serious when it comes to you being you.
23:44 And God knows of you that is
23:48 beyond the you that you know. Because you would be settled.
23:52 You'd be comfortable with you. And God loves you right where you are.
23:56 Don't get me wrong. But you've got to remember He has an idea about you in His mind.
24:00 And He's relentless to see that idea of you
24:04 manifest. So when you think about glory, going from glory
24:08 to glory, and this is why reorientation is part of the
24:12 process. If you think about the glory of the temple, I'm going to be landing soon.
24:16 Like, about three or four hours and we'll be all wrapped up here.
24:20 But when you think about reorientation, and going
24:24 from glory to glory, if you think about the glory of the temple, in order for the glory
24:28 to really fall in the temple, the Kabah of God, the weight of God.
24:32 Hold on. Let me talk about glory just a little bit more.
24:36 I don't want you to think that glory is this strange,
24:40 unprofitable thing for you. It's not.
24:44 It's funny. When Moses asked the Lord to show him
24:48 his glory. Remember that? Moses, first of all, Moses was like, "Look, I am." He had spent so much time
24:52 with God. He was like, "I'm not going anywhere that your presence isn't."
24:56 Like, for real. Like, "I don't care what you promise me. If your presence doesn't go with me, I'm not
25:00 going." God said, "Don't worry. That's going to happen." And then Moses gets a little more aggressive
25:04 and he's like, "God, show me your glory. I like that."
25:08 And then God says to him, "All right. I will allow my
25:12 goodness to pass by you." So God says, "Show me your glory."
25:16 God says, in response to, "Show me your glory," he begins to give an attribute of his
25:20 glory and he calls it his goodness. So the glory of God is his goodness. And the reason
25:24 why we want to continue to go from glory to glory is because when his goodness
25:28 sits on us, powerful things happen.
25:32 Anybody want God's glory?
25:36 I want your goodness
25:40 to sit on me. Your weight. But it's not a weight that destroys me.
25:44 It's a weight that adds value to me.
25:48 Yeah. It's your essence. It's your splendor. Oh, hallelujah.
25:52 I want to walk in it. I want to live in it. And here's the reality. I was
25:56 created for it. So to not walk in successive
26:00 levels of glory is to miss God. And so how do we
26:04 get there? Greater glory requires,
26:08 watch this, successive repositioning.
26:12 Let me just tell you something right now. That thing called comfortable
26:16 that you're praying for?
26:20 I just want to be comfortable. You know you pray that prayer.
26:24 I just want to get to a place where I'm just comfortable.
26:28 I ain't got to be rich.
26:32 I just want to be comfortable.
26:36 And you don't want to say it now, but you've prayed that prayer.
26:40 No, I just want to get to a place where it's just comfortable. No!
26:44 It doesn't work that way. Comfort, watch this, is temporary.
26:48 And know it. It's okay to get there and take a rest. Take a minute.
26:52 Breathe. You know what I mean? Go to the Bahamas or wherever you go to do what you do. Right? Turks.
26:56 However you do it. Greece. Whatever. Okay. I like Los Cabos.
27:00 You know, but whatever. See, I'm distracted now.
27:04 Yeah, take a minute. God will allow you a minute to breathe.
27:08 To orient yourself to the new level.
27:12 But just know it's temporary. And when you become
27:16 mature, you come to a place where you begin to expect the shaking.
27:20 Why are we shocked when the shaking comes?
27:24 Oh my God, what's happening to me? Growth is happening to you.
27:28 Development is happening to you. Breakthrough is happening to you.
27:32 You evolving. You becoming. That's what's happening to you.
27:36 Yeah! He says,
27:40 "You are the clay."
27:44 I am the potter. Shout out to the potter's house.
27:48 I am the potter.
27:52 He said, "You are
27:56 the clay. What is clay?"
28:00 He doesn't even say you are the pot.
28:04 He doesn't say that. He says, "You are the clay." He says, "I am
28:08 the potter. My role is potter.
28:12 Your role is clay." Right?
28:16 So, your character
28:20 is to be fluid.
28:24 Your character is to be available
28:28 to me so that I can shape you and mold
28:32 you and make you into what I knew
28:36 before I put you in your mother's womb. And you've got to
28:40 trust me. You've got to trust what I see. You've got to trust that I won't
28:44 break you. You've got to trust that I won't burn you. That you've got to trust that I won't
28:48 spin you out of control. Do I have any people that trust God
28:52 in this house?
28:56 You're in my hands. When you're dizzy, you're in my hands.
29:00 When you're formless, you're in my hands. When you're lonely,
29:04 you're in my hands. When you're a marred, you're in my
29:08 hands. I am the potter and I am assigned to you
29:12 and I will make sure that you become everything
29:16 that I've created you to be.
29:22 If you're in a chaotic season, it's normal.
29:28 It's normal.
29:32 God is shaking.
29:36 He's shaking.
29:40 It ain't the devil. I'll tell you
29:44 where you will find the devil
29:48 in a reorientation season. I'll tell you where you'll find him.
29:52 You will find him lying to you
29:56 about the character of God
30:00 in the moment where you're clay being formed.
30:04 He will tell you that God's not there. He will tell you
30:08 that God has forsaken you. He will tell you that it's always going to be like this.
30:12 It's not always going to be like that. It's not always going to be like that.
30:16 It's just a season.
30:20 It's just a season. I don't want to wrap this.
30:24 I don't want to wrap this.
30:28 Here's how we'll wrap it.
30:32 One of the areas that God
30:36 is going to be shaking in this season, he's probably already shaking it,
30:40 is in the area of relationships.
30:44 Somebody just shouted. Right there in the spirit, just shouted.
30:48 In the area of relationships. And I'll tell you one of the reasons why
30:52 I believe that that's one of the areas that gets shaken.
30:56 It's because you are in relationship
31:00 according to who you are.
31:04 You attract on your level. You congregate on your level.
31:08 Mutual interests and passions. You never have a passionate person
31:12 with a person with no passion.
31:16 Not for long. It's a passion. You know what I mean? Gosh.
31:20 Wake up.
31:24 So relationships oftentimes are connected to versions of you.
31:28 I was talking to somebody
31:32 and they were trying to understand why their relationship fell apart.
31:36 I'm like, "Oh, that's simple. The moment you got whole, the relationship was irrelevant."
31:40 Because the relationship only worked because you were broken. I said, "Oh, that's easy."
31:44 You got better. And when you get better, you have
31:48 better relationships, you make better choices, you value yourself in such a way that you don't
31:52 downplay or downgrade yourself. To be with somebody, you get
31:56 a revelation about who you are and your standards increase
32:00 as you increase.
32:04 And so one of the areas
32:08 that I believe that God is shaking in this season
32:12 is going to be in relationships. And I don't say that to say that
32:16 God is trying to break you out of some relationship. That is
32:20 very true in some cases. I'm not going to pull that back, take that off the table. It's not it.
32:24 But I think that there's a deeper idea here.
32:28 Sometimes, the true
32:32 sign of maturity and growth is in your ability to navigate
32:36 a difficult relationship, a complicated relationship.
32:40 One that necessitates, one, first of all,
32:44 you communicating. I almost had a
32:48 fallout with someone that I love dearly,
32:52 been loving for years, my brother. Like, you know, like
32:56 man, spiritual son, brother, all of it rolled up into one.
33:00 And when we got down to, when we decided
33:04 to put ego aside, hey, gotta do that.
33:08 Yeah, pastors got egos to deal with too. Hello, somebody. Yeah, I got a big old one
33:12 every once in a while. I feel like Beyonce.
33:16 But I want to do that. I'm working on that thing. Come on, somebody.
33:20 Yeah, yeah, yeah. She preached about that once, didn't she?
33:24 Yeah, okay. Yeah. Egos.
33:28 But we decided,
33:32 hey, you know what? Let's put ego to the side. We're both men, okay?
33:36 And let's come in the spirit of humility and communication
33:40 and vulnerability, mind you. Right?
33:44 That V word is kind of a tough word, especially for guys.
33:48 And we begin to talk. And
33:52 we realize that we both were a little wrong.
33:56 Isn't that something? We both were a little wrong.
34:00 Because we both had expectations
34:04 of one another that neither of us had ever communicated.
34:08 How am I going to be mad at you for giving me something I didn't tell you I needed?
34:12 And now I'm mad that you didn't give me, how dare you not give me what I didn't ask you for?
34:16 And vice
34:20 versa. Literally. And we
34:24 came into the conversation all hot and boiled, you know what I mean?
34:28 All this kind of stuff and left out laughing as brothers.
34:32 But that required something. It required humility.
34:36 It required honesty. It required vulnerability. In other words, what I'm saying is there's going to be a shaking
34:40 but not, just because it's a shaking doesn't mean you're supposed to throw it away.
34:44 Because sometimes true side and maturity
34:48 not as in how quick you can walk away
34:52 but how much you can grow, evolve, change
34:56 and make space for people
35:00 that you may have run into it with.
35:04 I want you to stand with me. I want to pray. I want to pray. I want to close this out in prayer.
35:08 I want to pray
35:12 for somebody
35:16 and you feel like, man, PT, when you were talking about that clay
35:20 I used to feel like a vessel
35:24 now I feel like clay.
35:28 I used to feel like fine china.
35:32 Like you moved in my life in such a wonderful way. I used to feel like a beautiful vase.
35:36 But now if I'm honest, man, I feel like
35:40 clunky clay. And I'm spinning
35:44 and I can't find normal.
35:48 I can't find peace. I can't find
35:52 you know, and I know this word is for me. And I want you to pray
35:56 for me. If that's you, I want you to come meet me at this altar really quick. I got to do it quick because I got to go.
36:00 And so do you. I want to pray for someone who feels formless.
36:04 I want to pray for somebody who feels disoriented.
36:08 I want to pray for you. I want to tell you it's normal.
36:12 I know it's crazy. I know it's rough. But God sent me here to tell you it's normal.
36:16 It's a part of the process because of what's on your life.
36:20 If you weren't valuable, you wouldn't be spun right now. You're valuable.
36:24 And it's going to settle. It's going to stop. And God has equipped you
36:28 with the strength to handle it, to navigate it. He's equipped you.
36:32 I promise. He wouldn't have sent you in it. He wouldn't have put you on the wheel
36:36 and have you spinning if he didn't have the capacity to hold you.
36:40 He's holding you. You're not by yourself.
36:44 He's holding you. He's carrying you. I promise you that.
36:48 If you're here, oh my God, that's a lot of you. Come on, just get as close as you can.
36:52 If you're here, family, and you don't know the Lord yet.
36:58 I'll tell you right now, you may not know the Lord, but the Lord knows you.
37:02 You wouldn't be here. We're not selling cookies.
37:06 We're not. That's not. It's just raw.
37:10 Raw word. Raw truth. Raw worship.
37:14 Real love. Real situation. Real life.
37:18 And if you're drawn to this movement, you're not drawn to this movement because of the leadership
37:22 of this movement. You're drawn to this movement because God has drawn you.
37:26 I planted this church 20--it'll be 20--okay, so
37:30 2002 we organized. 2004 we planted.
37:34 So it'll be, what is that, 18 years? Coming up on 19 years?
37:38 Yeah, 19 years in September.
37:42 We planted this church.
37:46 And I didn't know nothing about church at all.
37:50 I came from the corporate sector. I didn't know nothing.
37:54 But God touched me and He said, "Go," and I said, "I'm gonna go. I'm gonna do it." And here we are.
37:58 And so I don't--like the typical stuff that might draw you,
38:02 I didn't build it on that. I built it on love
38:06 and truth and teaching and honor and all that kind of--that's what I built it on.
38:10 And so I'm saying all this to say, if you're here and you're touched
38:14 deeply, that's God touching you. This is like--you talk about
38:18 this is not supposed to be. This is not supposed to be.
38:22 And especially here in our city, you know, we know how to get down here.
38:26 You know what I mean? It's LA. Hey, you can go down the street
38:30 and get down, you know? It's not--this is God.
38:34 So if you're here and you don't know God and you want to open up your heart
38:38 to God and have a real relationship with God,
38:42 not always relying on somebody else
38:46 communicating God's truth to you, but knowing within yourself.
38:50 'Cause I'll tell you right now, my job is not to make you
38:54 dependent upon me or any of our leaders in this church. My job is to
38:58 be like Eli with Samuel, and that is to get you to the voice of the Lord for yourself.
39:02 Because we're not gonna be here forever, baby. You hear me?
39:06 To get to the voice of the Lord for yourself,
39:10 the voice of wisdom and truth. He, God, will be
39:14 your best friend. Let me tell you what He'll do.
39:18 He'll speak to you. He'll feed you. He'll lead you.
39:22 He'll empower you.
39:26 God, I'm talking about God, the infinite God,
39:30 He will understand you when nobody does.
39:34 Anybody ever been misunderstood?
39:38 That will never be your testimony as it relates to the God,
39:42 to the Lord. God will never misunderstand. He knows. Nobody knows you like--
39:46 He knows you better than you know you. And you can come and you can be
39:50 real and experience blessing
39:54 and breakthrough and
39:58 what it's called, accepted and beloved. God's got a name for you.
40:02 Everybody--God's got one name for all of us, and it is Beloved.
40:06 Beloved. That's it. It's your name, and it's
40:10 also a command. Beloved. Because I love you, so don't
40:14 shut it down. Beloved. That's what He
40:18 calls you. Beloved. This is one place where the writer says,
40:22 "Beloved, above all things, I wish that you would prosper and be in
40:26 health even as your soul--" I love it. Beloved, "I wish above all things that you
40:30 would prosper and be in health as your soul prospers." I love you.
40:34 I'm for you. I got you. You're valuable.
40:38 You matter. And that's why
40:42 you're on the wheel. So if you're here--oh, boy.
40:46 And you don't know the Lord. If you're watching via live stream and you don't know the Lord, but somehow
40:50 you found yourself in this conversation, and now here we are.
40:54 And God is saying to you, "I love you. I got you."
40:58 And you want to open up your heart to the Lord. Right there, you can just put it right there in the chat.
41:02 Say, "I'm opening up my heart. I'm opening up my heart."
41:06 I want you to take this season seriously,
41:10 family. It's a shake, and it's for a reason. It's for a reason.
41:14 Don't resist it, and don't go back to comfort, right? That's our thing. We like
41:18 comfort. We do. We want change, but we like comfort.
41:22 Don't trust it. Don't trust comfortable.
41:26 Stretch. Get around people that stretch you. You might say,
41:30 "They're just a little too churchy." Well, maybe they are. Or maybe they just make you feel
41:34 uncomfortable because you want to be a little freaky.
41:38 Hey, hey, hey, hey. All right, I need my wife to pull me in.
41:42 She's right here.
41:46 Isn't it funny how we ... "You're just too strict for me."
41:50 No, you're too loose. And they hold you to a higher
41:54 standard. Come on.
41:58 Because they see you
42:02 up here. Now, I'm not talking
42:06 about somebody that judges you and makes you feel bad. That's not what I'm talking about. But I'm just talking about that person
42:10 that you get around them, and it's like they just see right through you.
42:14 And you don't want them to see you on this particular day.
42:18 Lean into those people
42:22 God has in your life to build community with you,
42:26 to strengthen you, to train you. Yeah. Everything that can
42:30 be shaken will be shaken, but it's going to settle. Stay in the fight.
42:34 Know that it's God. Yeah, you're in the
42:38 cocoon. You're in the cocoon. And I'm here to speak for the cocoon.
42:42 And the cocoon will say it's just a matter to hang in there. I've seen what is to cook the coon is saying
42:48 I've seen this process a million times
42:50 You've lost your form. You've lost your shape, but wings are being developed
42:56 Just hang in there. Trust me pray walk with me. Come here. Come here
43:01 Come here, love you come here
43:05 God sees you
43:08 sees you
43:10 He sees you
43:12 You see the way I'm holding you like this. That's how he's holding you and never let you go
43:17 I mean that I promise you I wouldn't lie to you
43:30 Yeah, he's just reorienting you
43:34 It's gonna be a good thing
43:37 You know what?
43:39 You're gonna be able to bless other people. I see it on you
43:42 calling
43:44 Father we thank you so much for this time together
43:50 Your children your sons and daughters each of them great
43:54 called
43:56 chosen blessed
43:58 anointed
43:59 preordained predestined for great things
44:02 children of God all the creation eagerly waiting
44:08 For what this challenging season will produce
44:10 Cover them. I plead the blood of Jesus over them right now
44:14 Over their hearts over their minds over their bodies
44:18 over their lives God hallelujah a
44:21 Decree no weapon formed against them shall prosper and every tongue that rises against them God you will condemn
44:27 I thank you Lord God that this is your generation
44:30 Hallelujah a royal priesthood a holy nation your own
44:35 Special people and I thank you Lord God for the great things that you have in store for them God
44:40 I thank you Lord that yes, they're on the wheel
44:43 But when you get finished first of all, you know exactly where they are
44:46 They are not outside of your tracker
44:49 You know exactly where they are and when you get finished with them, they will come forth as
44:55 gold from glory to glory
45:00 To glory now. I want you to repeat after me Heavenly Father. I thank you for your love. I
45:07 Receive it I
45:11 Thank you for your word. I
45:13 Hear you loud and clear. I
45:15 Thank you for Jesus
45:18 Thank you for making him
45:21 Who had no sin?
45:24 all of mine
45:26 all of my weakness
45:28 all of my shortcomings
45:30 all of my limitation
45:33 You placed in his body
45:35 Nailed it to the cross and put it to death
45:39 But just like him as he was raised up
45:45 free and victorious
45:48 From all that would keep him down
45:50 Even death itself
45:54 I'm raised up to
45:57 Above my enemies and my issues and I'm seated in
46:02 heavenly places in
46:05 Christ
46:07 Now God, I trust you
46:09 You're taking me
46:11 from glory to glory
46:13 to glory to glory
46:15 from this day forward and
46:17 forever
46:19 My past is behind me. I
46:21 release shame I
46:25 release guilt I
46:27 release condemnation and
46:29 I embrace purpose and
46:31 identity and my destiny and my calling
46:36 forgetting what's behind me and
46:39 Reaching forward to what is ahead of me. I'm pressing
46:44 Towards the mark of the upward call of God in Christ in Jesus name
46:53 Amen, amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. God bless you. Love you so much. May the Lord bless and keep you
