4th of July American Flag Inspired Makeup Tutorial and OOTD

00:00 up you guys happy 4th of July so I figured today it'd be fun if I showed
00:07 you in OOTD oh yeah can't talk today OOTD aka outfit of the day what I'm
00:15 wearing for the 4th of July and also this fun American flag inspired makeup
00:21 look with blue eyes and classic red lips so stay tuned to see those and let's get
00:29 into this video I forgot to mention that I'm also going to show the OOTD of my
00:36 bestie so let's get into this so begin by applying either a BB cream or a
00:44 foundation this one I got at TJ Maxx in the color light I'm not sure of the
00:49 brand but I do like it I'm applying this with a makeup sponge all over my face
00:55 just to even my complexion I picked a BB cream because it's just nice and light
01:00 and isn't going to feel as heavy on my face as a foundation might
01:06 now use a concealer to conceal any blemishes you may have and you can also
01:13 use it under the eye I didn't do this today because my under eye circles
01:16 weren't too bad then you can set this with powder I forgot to so oops to that
01:21 but yeah just this concealer is by elf it's their correcting concealer
01:28 then you can contour your face if you'd like to this is actually a foundation
01:35 that's too dark for me by covergirl and Olay I'm just taking a nice angled brush
01:40 and I'm applying that on the hollows of my cheeks so that I can just define my
01:46 cheekbones a little more and give my face a nice look and if you're wondering
01:52 about my hair my friend who I was sleeping over with me on 4th of July
01:57 actually French braided it so shout out to her if she's watching
02:03 I'm using this duo by elf a bronzer and blush I'm going to bronze my face and
02:08 then put blush on it with a kabuki brush so the bronzer is just going to give you
02:13 the appearance that you got a nice summer tan while the blush is going to
02:18 make you look more awake and alive and we'll just make you look like just nice
02:25 and natural
02:38 now using this kit made by Ulta I'm going to be taking the color turquoise
02:43 and putting that on the lid slightly and in the crease area as my transition
02:49 color this is just a nice medium colored blue and I felt that this would make a
02:55 great blue color for the blue on the American flag but you can use any medium
03:03 colored blue for this

03:09 then taking the color mosaic from my Ulta kit again I am going to be placing
03:19 this all over the lid and do a slightly lighter blue than the color turquoise
03:24 and this is just really going to make your eyelids pop and add dimension to the eye when you're doing this
03:31 now using this royal blue color from this Ulta trio or any sort of royal blue
03:38 shade that you have just put this in the crease and outer V and just blend that
03:44 out nicely and this is really going to give you that true American flag blue
03:50 that is going to make it look very patriotic and nice for our nation's day
03:56 of independence if you're wondering what the panda was for in the last little
04:01 section I had a friend in the room with me who did not wish to be on camera so I
04:07 had to cover up her face if you mess up and want to clean up the makeup look
04:12 just take a q-tip and a bit of olive oil or makeup remover and clean it up now
04:17 using the same royal blue color that I used in the crease and outer V I'm going
04:23 to line right on my lower lash line just to add a little more blue onto my eye
04:32 now using the color sky blue from my Ulta palette or in a very light shimmery
04:40 blue color I'm putting this on my inner corner with my fingers again to add more
04:46 depth to the eye and this will just go nicely with the other blue colors now
04:54 using my Maybelline mega plush volume mascara I'm going to put this on my
05:00 upper and lower lashes applying generously just to make my lashes not
05:06 all covered in eyeshadow and all that stuff and to darken them voluminize them
05:11 and lengthen them

05:17 now that my face and eyes are done time for lips I'm just going with a classic
05:27 red lip to represent these stripes on our American flag and this is from
05:32 forever 21 it's like heart-shaped and it's very pigmented I'm just putting
05:37 this on you can use any red lipstick that you happen to own now the American
05:44 flag inspired fourth of July makeup look is complete as for outfits of the day go
05:58 this is my outfit this American flag shirt is actually an old t-shirt from
06:04 San Francisco that I cut off the sleeves and cut the neckline and these shorts
06:09 are from Saks by the brand gray in my outfit I DIY'd a white plain t-shirt with
06:20 a pocket and put some stripes and sparkles on it and then I'm wearing
06:23 denim shirt shorts from Kohl's I hope you enjoyed this video maybe it inspired
