00:00 Hi guys, welcome back to my channel.
00:01 Today I'm going to film this look for you,
00:03 which is a kind of sunset inspired eye
00:07 using really warm tones.
00:09 I didn't intentionally plan to use
00:12 just Makeup Geek eyeshadows for this video,
00:14 but as it turns out,
00:15 all the shadows on my eyes are from Makeup Geek.
00:18 So if you want to see how I created this look,
00:20 then just keep watching.
00:22 All right, first up, I'm going to start by priming my skin
00:24 with the Makeup Forever Step One Skin Equalizer,
00:27 and this is the smoothing primer.
00:29 As always, I'm just kind of focusing the primer
00:33 down and along my T-zone,
00:35 which is where I tend to get the most oiliest,
00:38 but then kind of on either side of my cheeks,
00:41 just beside my nose,
00:43 because that's where I tend to get
00:45 the most kind of prominent pores.
00:47 Then for concealer today,
00:48 I'm going to be using NARS Sheer Glow,
00:51 and I'm going to be using the shade Barcelona,
00:54 which is my tan shade.
00:56 (upbeat music)
00:59 Then moving on to my brows,
01:03 I'm going to be using Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz,
01:06 and I'm going to be using the shade Medium Brown.
01:09 Just quickly comb through my brows,
01:11 which are non-existent.
01:14 Then using the waxy pencil side,
01:15 I just start filling in and shaping my brows.
01:19 (upbeat music)
01:22 (upbeat music)
01:25 Then I'm going to go in
01:28 with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade,
01:30 and I'm in the shade Dark Brown,
01:32 and on an angled brush,
01:34 I'm just going to take,
01:35 I'm just going to take some of that product
01:40 on the tail of my brow.
01:43 So just kind of from the arch outwards,
01:46 I like to make this bit a little bit more defined.
01:50 (upbeat music)
01:53 Right, moving on to the eyes,
01:56 and first of all, I'm going to prime them
01:58 with Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion,
02:00 and this is the anti-aging version.
02:03 (upbeat music)
02:06 Right, to start off with,
02:09 I'm going to be using Makeup Geek Vanilla Bean,
02:14 and that's just going to provide a nice blank canvas.
02:18 (upbeat music)
02:21 Then I am going to go in with Makeup Geek's Creme Brulee,
02:26 and this is going to be my transition shade,
02:29 so I'm just going to apply that straight into the crease,
02:33 not being neat or anything like that,
02:35 just getting the color down,
02:38 and again, this is just going to make our crease shade
02:40 blend a lot more easier.
02:42 (upbeat music)
02:45 I'm going to go in with a clean, fluffy blending brush,
02:49 and just start to kind of buff away
02:53 at that edge of the eyeshadow,
02:56 'cause you want that to be seamless.
02:58 (upbeat music)
03:00 Then I'm going to go in with Makeup Geek's Cocoa Bear,
03:04 and I'm going to place that on the outer corner of the crease
03:09 and concentrate most of the product there
03:13 before kind of pulling the product inwards
03:16 towards the inner corner,
03:17 and kind of join that to the outer corner
03:19 of my lashes as well.
03:21 Then I go in with the brush that I used to place
03:22 the transition shade down,
03:24 and just kind of blend that Cocoa Bear shade
03:28 in with Creme Brulee.
03:30 (upbeat music)
03:32 Then I am going to go in with Makeup Geek's Goddess Eyeshadow
03:43 and I'm going to place that color
03:45 in the kind of center of my eyelid,
03:49 and I'm kind of leaving the outer third
03:51 and the inner third blank,
03:53 'cause we're going to apply two different shades there.
03:56 (upbeat music)
03:59 Then I am going to go in with Makeup Geek's Brown Sugar,
04:03 and I'm taking the same brush,
04:04 just flipping it over to the other side,
04:06 and I'm going to take that on the outside third of the lid.
04:12 (upbeat music)
04:14 And I'm just going to go back into the brush
04:16 that I used to apply my crease shade, Cocoa Bear,
04:21 and I'm just going to smooth that over the shadows
04:22 that we've just applied,
04:24 just so there's not a harsh edge sitting on the crease.
04:28 And I'm going to get a cleanish flat shader brush
04:33 and I'm going to go in with the shade Glamorous.
04:37 So I'm going to place that on the inner third of the eyelid,
04:41 making sure to leave the inner corners blank,
04:44 'cause we're going to go in
04:45 with an even brighter color there.
04:47 Then back in with the crease blending brush,
04:52 just kind of smooth all of that edge away.
04:58 Right, to further intensify the eyes
05:02 and really kind of define the outer crease,
05:05 I'm going to go in with this shade right here,
05:08 and that's Bitter.
05:09 Taking that on the tip of this kind of more tapered brush,
05:13 I'm going to literally place that
05:15 right on the outer most corner of the crease.
05:19 And that's where I'm going to concentrate
05:24 most of the product.
05:25 And then I'm going to just start pulling it inwards,
05:30 staying right in that center of the crease.
05:34 I don't want this kind of blowing out all over the place.
05:37 What I'm also going to do is kind of join that
05:41 with the outer corner of the lashes.
05:45 Then going back with the brush that I used
05:50 to apply Cocoa Bear in the crease,
05:53 just blending out Bitter.
05:56 Going to take the brush that I used
05:58 to apply the transition shade
06:00 and just try and smooth out that top edge.
06:04 It's a gradient effect.
06:06 From the crease, you get the most darkest color,
06:09 and as you fade upwards to the brow bone, it gets lighter.
06:12 Then I'm going to go in with a clean, fluffy blending brush
06:15 and just buff away at the very, very top edge.
06:20 (upbeat music)
06:25 (upbeat music)
06:28 Then I'm going to curl my lashes just ever so slightly.
06:38 And I think we're going to do a bit of a wing,
06:43 so I'm going to go in with the L'Oreal
06:47 Perfect Slim Super Liner.
06:49 I'm not sure if I've got that right,
06:50 but it'll be in the description box below.
06:53 (upbeat music)
06:56 Then I'm going to go in with some mascara,
07:09 and I'm going to be using the L'Oreal
07:12 False Lash Architect Four Dimensions
07:14 Effect Fibers Waterproof Mascara.
07:17 (upbeat music)
07:22 Then I'm going to tightline my waterline
07:23 using the Eye of Hora Smoky Goddess Eye Pencil.
07:27 Then I'm going to go back and apply my lashes at the end.
07:32 I'm going to go in with the LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer
07:37 and I'm using the shade Creamy Beige.
07:40 (upbeat music)
07:43 And of course, I'm going to go in
07:45 with MAC's Prep + Prime Highlighter
07:46 in the shade Light Boost.
07:49 This is just going to help highlight the under eye area.
07:52 Just kind of brighten everything up.
07:55 I'm going to be using the Morphe G2 Brush
07:58 to blend that all in.
08:00 (upbeat music)
08:03 And I'm going to set that all in place
08:08 using Glorimercio Secret Brightening Powder.
08:10 Then I'm going to move on to concealing
08:17 and highlighting the rest of my face.
08:18 So I'm going to go in with L'Oreal's True Match Concealer
08:22 and this is in Light Medium W4 to 5.
08:27 As I'm a little bit more tanned,
08:29 I think I'm going to get away with using this.
08:31 (upbeat music)
08:34 I'm going to use my Damp Beauty Blender
08:39 just to blend that all in.
08:40 (upbeat music)
08:46 Then I'm going to move on to highlighting
08:48 the center of my forehead.
08:49 And for that, I'm going to be using
08:51 the Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Stick
08:53 and this is the highlight one.
08:54 Take Beauty Blender and just start pouncing it on
09:00 and it just blends out so easily.
09:03 It's just totally foolproof, this product.
09:05 I'm going to move on to setting that in place.
09:09 And for that, I'm going to be using
09:12 the Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette.
09:14 I'm going to use this yellow shade in the middle
09:16 and that's called Lyric.
09:17 (upbeat music)
09:20 I like to apply a thin coat on the cheeks as well
09:23 because it just helps to make my bronzer and contour
09:28 just go on much more smoothly and less patchy.
09:31 To contour my nose, I'm going to go in
09:33 with the Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Stick
09:35 in the shade Contour.
09:37 As always, I'm going to use the Zoeva 223
09:41 Petite Eye Blender Brush to apply that.
09:44 (upbeat music)
09:46 I'm going to take a larger brush and this one's the 142
09:54 from Zoeva, the Concealer Buffer Brush
09:57 and just kind of blend that contour in.
10:02 Then to set that contour in place,
10:06 I'm going to be using this shade Subconscious.
10:10 Just this shade right here from the Kat Von D
10:12 Shade and Light Palette.
10:13 (upbeat music)
10:15 When you contour, you have to highlight,
10:20 so just going to take the highlight stick
10:24 down the center of my nose.
10:27 Damp Beauty Blender just to kind of blend that product in.
10:31 (upbeat music)
10:35 Right, let's finish off the eyes and the bottom lash line.
10:39 So I'm going to mimic what I've done on the top lids.
10:44 So I'm going to take a smaller brush
10:47 and I am going to start working from the inner corners
10:51 to the outer corners.
10:52 So first I'm going to go in with the shade Glamorous,
10:56 which is the golden shade in the inner third of the eyes.
11:00 And I'm just going to take that
11:02 in the inner third of the bottom lash line.
11:08 Then going in with the shade Goddess,
11:10 and apply that in the center of the bottom lash line.
11:15 And I'm going to go into Brown Sugar.
11:19 That's just going to go on the outermost part
11:24 of the bottom lash line.
11:25 Then as always, I like to define my bottom lash line,
11:31 particularly on the outer corners.
11:32 So I'm going to take Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil
11:36 and this is the shade Demolition Brown.
11:39 And I'm going to take it on the tip of this
11:40 kind of really small smudger brush.
11:43 I'm just going to work that in
11:46 on the outermost part of my lash line.
11:48 So I'm just basically concentrating most of the product there
11:52 and then once I'm sure most of the product's
11:57 on the lash line, I just take the excess
12:01 kind of towards the rest,
12:04 or towards the kind of center of my eye.
12:08 And just to soften that all out,
12:17 I'm just going to take Brown Sugar again,
12:20 just kind of soften out that liner.
12:25 'Cause I don't want that looking really harsh.
12:30 I want it to look really soft.
12:32 And to kind of blend out and soften the whole
12:35 of the bottom lash line,
12:36 I'm just going to go in with the shade Creme Brulee
12:41 and just use that to soften out the edge of that shade.
12:46 Then of course, a bit of mascara for the bottom lashes.
12:53 I'm going to move on to contouring the face
12:58 and I'm going to go in with the subconscious shade
13:02 from the Kat Von D Shade and Light palette
13:05 and start kind of chiseling in some cheekbones.
13:08 Then for bronzer, I'm going to be using
13:14 the Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion
13:18 and this is in the shade 25 High.
13:20 For highlight, I'm going to be using
13:29 Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector
13:31 in the shade Champagne Pop.
13:33 And for blush, I'm going to be using
13:39 the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush palette.
13:42 I'm going to mix the shades Luminous Flush
13:46 and Incandescent Electra.
13:49 And then before I forget,
13:54 I think I'm going to add a little bit of Champagne Pop
13:57 to my inner corners.
14:01 And for lashes, I'm going to be using
14:02 the House of Lashes Noir Fairy.
14:05 And for the lips, I'm going to be using
14:13 Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
14:15 and this is one of their newest shades in Double Dare.
14:19 And to finish off, I'm going to be setting my makeup in place
14:27 using the Urban Decay Chill Makeup Setting Spray.
14:31 (spraying)
14:34 And this is the completed look.
14:36 I hope you guys enjoyed watching me create
14:38 this sunset-inspired eye look using Makeup Geek eyeshadows.
