Starting with makeup tips and suggestions

00:00 And in this video I'm going to be showing you a few products to help you get started

00:05 The first thing I use is a moisturiser.
00:07 I use the Young Skin Matte Fish Moisturiser by Asda.
00:12 It's Asda's own brand so I don't know where, wherever you're from, where you could get
00:18 that from.
00:19 The second thing is a primer.
00:21 Depending on what foundation I'm using, I'll either use like a cream one or a more heavy
00:28 duty one to like make your face more covered, like better coverage.
00:36 Next thing is some foundations.
00:38 I've picked a few out for you guys.
00:40 The Infallible 24 Hour Matte, the Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream by Body Shop in the shade
00:48 1, and the Max Factor Colour Adapt Skin Tone Adapting Makeup in shade 40 Creamy Ivory.
01:01 Yeah it's kind of backwards in the camera, I don't know if you can see that.
01:05 The next thing is mascara.
01:07 I have the Rimmel London Wonderful Lashes with Argan Oil.
01:14 The 17 False Eye HD and the Mega Volume Manga Eyes, the waterproof one.
01:25 Because I feel it gives you more like boom, if you understand what I mean.
01:33 With the foundation, sometimes I use a brush, sometimes I don't use a brush, but I have
01:39 a couple of brushes to choose from.
01:41 I have the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and the Superdrug's Own Flat Foundation Brush.
01:50 I use that if I'm using like a thicker foundation, but otherwise I just use my hands to be honest,
01:56 with like BB creams.
01:59 I'll also use some concealers.
02:01 I've just picked out a couple here just to show you which ones.
02:07 The L'Oreal True Match one in the shade, I'm not sure what shade it is, Ivory 10.
02:16 I think it's from Boots or something.
02:19 The MAC Mineralised Concealer in NW15.
02:24 I just think it like highlights the face if you put it here and in your T-zone and on
02:30 your cupid's bow.
02:31 It just kind of like brightens up your face and especially if you have dark circles under
02:35 your eyes, it'll brighten your face up a lot more.
02:38 I'll also use some powder after my foundation to like set my foundation and make it a lot
02:45 more matte.
02:47 I'll use a Real Techniques Powder Brush with that.
02:51 I just love Real Techniques brushes.
02:55 I'll also use a bronzer.
02:58 This is the Body Shop Honey Bronzer in shade 1.
03:03 As you can see, it's just kind of like a light bronzer.
03:09 I'll also use the Primark, like just an average Primark brush because they don't have a very
03:19 high pigment and because most of the time with brushes, you put them in your bronzer
03:24 and they like, it's just chaos because there's like a massive blotch on your face.
03:30 If you use the cheaper brushes, it won't pick up as much pigment so you won't get as orange,
03:37 you'll just like be a little bit bronze like you want to be.
03:41 Some days I'll use contour and when I do, I use my Barry M Flawless Chiseled Cheeks
03:48 Contour Kit.
03:49 It has three shades, a white, a medium brown and a dark brown.
03:55 I also use the Superdrug, like it's not an actual Superdrug brand but I don't know what
04:01 it's called, I think it's a beauty brand, blush/contour brush.
04:06 I'm not really sure what the name of the brand is but you can find those in Superdrug.
04:14 When I do my eyebrows, I use the MAC pencil, looks like that, I'm not sure the name but
04:23 I use it in the shade, I'm not really sure what shade it is but I just know it's like
04:29 a dark brown kind of colour.
04:31 Match my eyebrows, I'm actually wearing it today but yeah.
04:36 I also use the Dark Blonde Satin Filling Powder, it's really good.
04:46 Even if you don't want to colour in your eyebrows with a pencil, you can just use it to fill
04:50 them in slightly.
04:51 You just want a little bit on your eyebrows, you don't really want to go out with nothing.
04:59 If I use eyeliner, most of the time I use liquid liner, I don't tend to put it under
05:04 here because it will bleed down your face and you don't really want that with eyeliner
05:13 because if you've got dark circles anyway it will just make your face look really dark,
05:18 it makes you look a little bit moody.
05:19 I use the Soap and Glory Super Cat Liquid Liner, the small one, there is a massive jumbo
05:25 liner but I'm just using the smaller one.
05:33 I'm going to show you some lipsticks now, I'm going to show you some nude ones and some
05:36 pink ones depending on my mood.
05:39 I have the MAC Creme de Nude in the sheen kind of shade.
05:50 I've also got the Colour Sensational Tantalising Taupe in 725, it's like a nude colour.
05:59 It's really nice, I don't know if you can see that, I'm actually wearing it now, it's
06:06 coming off slightly.
06:07 But yeah, I love it, it's like my favourite one.
06:12 I've also got some Kate Moss ones, I think Kate Moss, yeah, the Rimmel London ones.
06:19 I have the red one, I don't really like her 107 because it's a little bit too bright but
06:25 I use this one, I'm not really sure what the name of it is but it's like a nice red.
06:30 They have really nice red lipsticks in Rimmel London.
06:35 I also have the Kate number 28, oh yeah, the red one was number 170 in Alarm and this one
06:46 is number 28, those are the lasting finish lipsticks.
06:50 I think it's like a pinky kind of colour.
06:53 So yeah, it's that one, it is like a lot more pink, it's just on the camera, it doesn't
06:58 really show up that well.
07:01 I have a couple of liners but I'm just going to show you one because this is my favourite
07:05 one apart from my MAC one but yeah.
07:08 This is the Exaggerate full colour lip liner in number 63, East End Snob.
07:17 It's kind of like a weird shape to help you get the line of your lips.
07:22 So if you're just starting out with lip liners it would help you like just guide it around
07:27 your lips.
07:29 Sometimes I don't really want lipstick, I don't want lip liner, I just use a simple
07:34 lip balm.
07:35 This one is Avon Care protecting lip balm and as I said in the title it is, oh dropped
07:41 it, from Avon, that's really nice, not too heavy, just like light on your lips just to
07:47 moisturise.
07:49 I'm also going to show you some eyeshadows and the first one is a Glam Eyes Smokey Eyes
07:57 Quad, this is in Smokey Brown in number 2.
08:03 Yeah, this is the brown one.
08:06 It's kind of got a little bit dirty because I've used this so much, I love it, it's just
08:10 like my favourite.
08:11 I have another colour, yeah.
08:12 I have two other colours, I have the purple one and the blue one.
08:20 They're really nice, they're smokey eyes so they help you with the colours, like they
08:26 have numbers on the back to tell you which bit goes where.
08:31 So if you want to get a smokey eye I would recommend these three.
08:37 So with the eyeshadow I use the Pro Finish brush and I'm not really sure where you can
08:44 buy these but I'm pretty sure you can get them on Amazon or online somewhere.
08:50 With eyeshadows I tend to use an eyeshadow primer and this time I'm using the I Heart
08:58 Makeup eyeshadow primer.
09:01 When you buy it, it is quite watery, it's really cheap, it's £1.99 so you have to press
09:09 it like that, screw up the lid and do this with it because it is a cheap one so it's
09:17 not going to be that great because most eyeshadow primers that I know of are £17 so for £1.99
09:26 from I Heart Makeup it is a pretty good one.
09:30 Once you've mixed it, it's alright to be honest.
09:35 Yeah it's okay, it's like a nude colour to give your eyeshadow some base to go on.
09:43 And yeah that is some of my favourite/starter makeup.
