00:00:10 I'm in Acts 19, verse 11.
00:00:14 I went back and forth about a subject, and
00:00:19 I'm sure it will change and evolve as this message unfolds.
00:00:25 But for now, we're gonna call it Lock In, Lock In.
00:00:31 At this point in the text, Paul is at what some theologians
00:00:37 would call the climax of his ministry.
00:00:41 He has found himself in Ephesus, where he has spent so
00:00:46 much time, the most amount of time in one particular region
00:00:51 without being arrested and having to move on.
00:00:55 They gauged that he spent between two to three years here,
00:00:59 which was remarkable, cuz most of the time, wherever he began
00:01:02 to preach the gospel, he would get ran out of town.
00:01:05 And because he wasn't finished completing the assignment that
00:01:08 God had given him, he had to move.
00:01:10 Once he realized he was effective in that space,
00:01:13 he had to move.
00:01:15 But this is different, because he's found a space in Ephesus
00:01:19 where he's got capacity to pour out all that God has given him,
00:01:24 and he can do it without threat.
00:01:27 So effective is he in this that after he leaves from Ephesus,
00:01:31 he will head to Jerusalem, where he will stand trial and
00:01:35 ultimately end up going to a path that leads towards his
00:01:39 ultimate demise of his body, but not of his purpose.
00:01:44 But he's not there yet.
00:01:46 And I found this text peculiar not because Paul is even
00:01:51 speaking or teaching in it, but because of the residue of who
00:01:55 Paul is shows up in this instance.
00:01:58 And I'm reading from the New King James Version.
00:02:01 It says, "Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,
00:02:07 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his
00:02:11 body to the sick, and the diseases left them,
00:02:16 and the evil spirits went out of them.
00:02:20 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon
00:02:24 themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who
00:02:28 had evil spirits, saying, 'We exorcise you by the Jesus
00:02:32 whom Paul preaches.'
00:02:35 Also there were seven sons of Siva,
00:02:38 a Jewish chief priest who did so.
00:02:41 And the evil spirit answered and said,
00:02:44 'Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?'
00:02:50 [laughter]
00:02:55 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them
00:02:59 overpowered them and prevailed against them,
00:03:04 so that they fled out of the house, out of that house,
00:03:07 naked and wounded."
00:03:11 My text continues, it says, "This became known both to all
00:03:14 Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus,
00:03:18 and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus
00:03:23 was magnified.
00:03:25 And many who had believed came confessing and telling their
00:03:29 deeds.
00:03:30 Also many of those who had practiced magic brought their
00:03:35 books together and burned them in the sight of all.
00:03:39 And they counted up the value of them,
00:03:42 and it totaled 50,000 pieces of silver.
00:03:46 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed."
00:03:52 Holy Spirit, we welcome you.
00:03:56 I thank you God that where the spirit of the Lord is,
00:04:00 there is freedom.
00:04:03 I thank you God that there is freedom in this room.
00:04:05 I thank you God that you are giving me freedom to minister
00:04:09 this message as you have laid it in my spirit.
00:04:12 God, I thank you for wisdom and revelation,
00:04:15 for insight, for articulation, God.
00:04:17 I thank you that you can use any part of my body,
00:04:21 any part of my story in order to deliver this message.
00:04:24 And so I offer myself as a sacrifice that these,
00:04:27 your sons and daughters, may be blessed.
00:04:29 And so God, I pray that you would open their hearts to
00:04:32 receive what you have for them in this moment,
00:04:34 that there would be no distractions,
00:04:36 but that your word will go to war with what's been going to war
00:04:40 with them.
00:04:42 And that we will learn in this moment that you see us.
00:04:46 You have equipped us and empowered us.
00:04:49 So order our steps through this word.
00:04:52 Thank you God for resting in this room.
00:04:55 Thank you Jesus for showing us the way.
00:04:58 Lead us as only you can do.
00:05:01 In Jesus' name, amen.

00:05:06 Come on, child.
00:05:10 Listen.
00:05:11 You know, one of the things that I have been coming to terms with,
00:05:18 I think within the last, I'll say year or two,
00:05:22 is the reality of how stressful even going through the pandemic was.
00:05:27 Like life is stressful in general,
00:05:30 but then there are added variables that are often out of our control that
00:05:35 reveal just how much stress we're constantly under.
00:05:39 There are some moments where we find ourselves feeling like I literally
00:05:45 cannot take another thing.
00:05:48 I'm so stressed.
00:05:49 If we could just take a poll in this room,
00:05:51 how many of us would be honest enough to admit that we're at a stage where
00:05:56 we literally don't have capacity to take anything, not another thing.
00:06:02 Not another -- get somebody else to do it.
00:06:06 I don't even -- sometimes I don't even have capacity to be nice.
00:06:10 You know what I mean?
00:06:11 Like it's just -- because right now my spirit is so bad that I don't even --
00:06:15 I need to be at home sometimes so that I can have capacity to engage with
00:06:20 people.
00:06:21 I love -- Dr. Jill tells me sometimes, you know,
00:06:23 sometimes she tells me I'll see her, sometimes I won't,
00:06:25 because she says I'm not fit to engage with people right now.
00:06:28 I need a minute to make sure I'm good.
00:06:33 The reality of us experiencing stress is that for many of us we don't even
00:06:38 recognize that we have stress or what we're carrying because we've gotten so
00:06:45 used to having a stressed out existence.
00:06:51 Even for some of our children, we can see the early signs of it if we're
00:06:56 willing to pay attention.
00:06:59 And I know many of us come from a philosophy that if you're not paying bills
00:07:03 and you haven't gone through anything that you don't have anything to be
00:07:07 stressed about.
00:07:08 And while that is true from your advantage point,
00:07:11 if you go back in time and realize what it was like for you to view your
00:07:15 family coming apart, for you to wonder how the meals were going to come
00:07:19 together, for you to feel that rejection and abandonment,
00:07:22 you recognize that even as a young person you were experiencing stress,
00:07:27 you just didn't have language.
00:07:31 Grief, but no language.
00:07:35 And we have carried it for so long that most of us have learned to override
00:07:41 our bodies when our body begins to show us the signs that what we're carrying
00:07:48 emotionally, what we've been exposed to in our environment,
00:07:55 is now affecting our bodies.
00:07:59 There is a correlation between what happens to us,
00:08:04 the things that are responsibilities,
00:08:06 the things that we have now had to process and how it shows up in our body.
00:08:12 High blood pressure.
00:08:13 We went on tour with the Black Women's Health Imperative and one of the
00:08:16 things that Dr. Anita was sharing with those who were a part of the tour
00:08:20 experience is that there are moments where our trauma,
00:08:23 when unaddressed and unprocessed, shows up in our body.
00:08:29 So you think that you just have high blood pressure because of your diet and
00:08:33 maybe to a certain extent it's true,
00:08:35 but maybe it's also that you've been carrying that secret for so long that
00:08:39 now it's showing up in your body.
00:08:45 But when we have been conditioned to override our body,
00:08:49 when someone tells you something like listen to your body,
00:08:53 you don't pay it any attention.
00:08:56 But your body is sensitive enough to send you a message about what's
00:09:02 happening in you and around you if you're willing to tune in.
00:09:08 I think one of the greatest plans of the enemy has been his ability to make us
00:09:15 think that our spirituality and our faith in Jesus is simply relegated to
00:09:20 our spirit and our mind and it has robbed us of the ability to recognize
00:09:25 that it is also a part of our body.
00:09:30 Yeah.
00:09:32 I'll give you evidence in the Bible.
00:09:34 When Jesus is looking over the multitudes and the disciples are asking him what
00:09:40 he sees and he says that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.
00:09:46 It says right before that that his bowels were moved with compassion.
00:09:51 So integrated was Jesus with his mission, his faith,
00:09:55 and spirituality that it showed up in his body.
00:10:00 God help me.
00:10:03 So when we learn to override our body, to not pay it attention,
00:10:08 to not listen to it, we also miss out on the opportunity to receive the download
00:10:13 that God wants to give us about the environment we're in.
00:10:19 There are people who are now raising children to listen to their bodies when
00:10:23 they have to go hug a stranger and they don't want to.
00:10:26 They tell you don't make your child go hug that stranger if they don't want to
00:10:29 because there's something in the child's body that is making them not want to
00:10:33 connect with that stranger.
00:10:35 I know it's your uncle.
00:10:36 I know you've been around him forever.
00:10:37 I know you know him and trust him,
00:10:39 but their body is trying to tell them something and when we tell them to
00:10:43 override their body, we make them desensitized to trusting what God is
00:10:47 trying to download into their spirit.
00:10:50 Your body knows how to talk to you.
00:10:52 That's why you leave some people and your head is hurting.
00:10:55 There are some people who are quite literally not good for your health.
00:10:59 Anytime I leave from you, I start feeling nauseous.
00:11:02 Anytime I leave from you, my bones are aching.
00:11:05 I'm so tired and weary.
00:11:06 I had all this energy, then one phone call with you and I need to close the
00:11:10 curtains and get back in the bed.
00:11:12 I don't think you're good for my body.
00:11:15 [Applause]
00:11:20 And this doesn't even mean that we have to cut them off completely.
00:11:25 It just means that I have to take you in doses.
00:11:28 [Applause]
00:11:32 You got a prescription.
00:11:35 And I'm all out of refills.
00:11:37 So you got to come back next week because right now my body can't handle
00:11:42 being connected to you.
00:11:44 Right now I'm up against a real devil and I can't fight this same devil you
00:11:48 keep inviting in.
00:11:49 You're not good for my body right now.
00:11:52 I got to create a boundary.
00:11:53 I'm not saying I'm gone forever.
00:11:55 I'm just saying you don't have a refill this week because I don't have
00:11:58 capacity in my body to carry your thing and my thing.
00:12:02 And when I leave your thing, my thing is heavier than it needs to be
00:12:06 because now I'm carrying your thing and my thing.
00:12:09 And God can't even give me wisdom from my thing because all I can think about
00:12:12 is your thing.
00:12:13 And I need God to talk to me about my thing because my thing is eating me up
00:12:17 alive.
00:12:18 It's showing up in my body.
00:12:20 That thing is keeping me up at night.
00:12:22 It's showing up in my body.
00:12:23 I'm sorry.
00:12:24 I got to get clarity right now because my body is trying to tell me
00:12:27 something.
00:12:29 My body is trying to tell me something.
00:12:37 When's the last time you checked in with your body?
00:12:44 This isn't the normal church message that we're supposed to preach,
00:12:51 but God just kept showing me that I'm bringing your body into a place of
00:12:59 sensitivity.
00:13:02 That sometimes we're waiting for God to speak a word,
00:13:05 not recognizing that God is speaking to the atoms in your body.
00:13:09 That I'm trying to show you where you can go by how your body responds when
00:13:13 you're in the atmosphere.
00:13:15 If you don't feel safe and you don't feel loved and you don't feel seen and
00:13:18 you feel like you have to shrink and then you go and you ask God,
00:13:22 whether or not I should be in this relationship.
00:13:24 God says the answer is already in your body.
00:13:27 Sometimes your body knows it before you know it.
00:13:30 And that's why your body starts aching before you can even get in the doctor's
00:13:34 office because your body is trying to tell you something.
00:13:37 I don't know who this is for, but I got to be honest.
00:13:40 God told me that this message is going to save somebody's life because that
00:13:44 ache that you have been ignoring in your body is actually God trying to get
00:13:49 your attention.
00:13:50 And I know we like to be wounded warriors where we know how to take a
00:13:54 licking and keep on taking,
00:13:56 but there are some seasons where you need to take a minute and dissect this
00:14:00 lick and my back is hurting and maybe it is just that I'm getting older or
00:14:04 maybe it's because I've been carrying that child when I should have been
00:14:08 giving that child over to God.
00:14:10 Yes, I feel like my heart is having palpitations,
00:14:12 but maybe I have anxiety about this next stage that I'm moving in.
00:14:16 I got to check in with my body because God is trying to position my body and
00:14:21 God cannot position my body for what I need to do in the earth.
00:14:25 If I don't listen to my body,
00:14:27 God says I'm going to send you into some rooms where if you don't check in
00:14:31 with your body, they will exploit your body.
00:14:33 They will take over your gifts.
00:14:35 They will take over your talents and your body will be screaming.
00:14:38 Don't do it.
00:14:39 But because you are so needy and because you want to be loved and because you
00:14:44 want to be adored,
00:14:45 you can't even check in with your body and the sirens are going off telling you
00:14:50 to back away and move away.
00:14:52 The steel isn't for you.
00:14:53 I feel it in my body.
00:14:55 I feel it.
00:14:56 I can't explain it.
00:14:57 I can't make any sense of it,
00:14:58 but I feel it in my body.
00:15:00 My body is telling me no.
00:15:02 My body is telling me go.
00:15:04 My body is telling me pursue.
00:15:06 My body is telling me.
00:15:12 Oh God.
00:15:14 Oh God, I'm trying to.
00:15:15 Okay, forget it.
00:15:16 I'm trying to stay in my notes, but let's go.
00:15:19 My body's been telling me that I'm about to move in a new dimension.
00:15:23 My body's been telling me that I'm on the brink of breakthrough.
00:15:26 I don't know.
00:15:27 I can't explain it.
00:15:28 That's why this message feels so weird.
00:15:30 But anytime I think about what God is showing me,
00:15:33 it doesn't feel distant anymore.
00:15:36 I feel so close to it that I can feel it in my body.
00:15:40 I feel so close to wholeness that I can feel it in my body.
00:15:43 I feel it's in my bones.
00:15:49 I guess that's how Jeremiah felt when he was trying to not preach
00:15:53 and he was trying to swallow it.
00:15:55 But then he said, "I'm trying to not do it."
00:15:57 But the thing is that it's like fire shut up in my bones.
00:16:02 I wish I could stop growing, but I'm so close to stepping into
00:16:06 everything that God has called me to do, that I feel it in my body.
00:16:11 That's why my body's been under attack,
00:16:13 because my body's moving with more power than it's ever moved in before.
00:16:18 I feel it in my body.
00:16:19 I'm going to be okay.
00:16:20 I don't see it in my circumstance.
00:16:22 I don't see it in my bank account, but I feel it in my bones.
00:16:26 The old folks used to say, "I've got a feeling everything's going to be all right."
00:16:31 Where did the feeling come from?
00:16:33 God put that feeling in my spirit.
00:16:36 God put the revelation.
00:16:42 I feel it.
00:16:43 God help me make sense of it.
00:16:46 But I feel like my body is telling me who to be connected with,
00:16:50 who to walk away from.
00:16:52 I felt it in my body.
00:16:53 When you spoke a word, it felt like fire shut up in my bones.
00:16:58 It felt like a river of living water was springing up on the inside of me.
00:17:03 I stepped into purpose, and all of a sudden, the innovation and the creativity
00:17:08 kept flowing.
00:17:09 I felt it in my body.
00:17:10 I'm equipped.
00:17:11 I felt it in my body.
00:17:12 I'm ready.
00:17:13 I felt it in my body that it's mine for the taking.
00:17:16 I felt it in my body that the weapon--how did I know that the weapon didn't
00:17:20 prosper?
00:17:21 I felt it in my body, because I should have been bleeding out.
00:17:24 But all of a sudden, I got more strength than I should have had.
00:17:28 How could I have strength in a season that's trying to tear me down?
00:17:32 But I'm waking up with more energy.
00:17:34 I'm waking up with more focus.
00:17:36 I feel it in my body.
00:17:38 I feel it in my body.
00:17:39 I feel it in my body.
00:17:41 Some people start running, because when God touches them, they can't just keep
00:17:45 it to themselves.
00:17:46 I feel it in my body.
00:17:48 Sometimes I got to leap up for joy, because I don't know how to keep it to
00:17:52 myself.
00:17:53 I feel it in my body.
00:17:54 Like there's breakthrough.
00:17:56 I feel it in my body.
00:17:57 [MUSIC]
00:18:02 I got to stay connected to my body, because my body is trying to show me.
00:18:09 It's trying to direct me.
00:18:11 It's trying to lead me.
00:18:12 [MUSIC]
00:18:21 I knew it wasn't everybody's word.
00:18:26 But God told me if I get it in the hands of the right people, God told me if I
00:18:31 get it in the hands of the right people, that they'll start listening to their
00:18:35 body again.
00:18:36 And I heard God say it's going to take all of you to be who I called you to be.
00:18:41 That means you can't just do it with your mind.
00:18:43 You just can't do it with your hands.
00:18:45 God says you're going to have to put your back into it.
00:18:48 Then you're going to have to step into it.
00:18:50 God says what I'm going to do with you, I'm going to do it through your body.
00:18:54 Why else would God wrap himself in flesh unless the body was a vehicle in which I
00:19:00 will establish the kingdom of heaven and the word was made flesh and it dwelt
00:19:06 amongst us.
00:19:07 The word wasn't just in my heart.
00:19:09 The word became a part of who I am.
00:19:12 [MUSIC]
00:19:16 I feel it.
00:19:17 I feel like the word has taken over my body.
00:19:20 I feel like the revelation has taken over my body.
00:19:23 I used to be nervous.
00:19:25 I used to be insecure.
00:19:27 But I think the word is starting to take up space.
00:19:30 [MUSIC]
00:19:39 Hallelujah.
00:19:40 [MUSIC]
00:19:47 So, if the enemy can get you to devalue your body, exploit your body, override
00:20:03 your body, then the word doesn't have a vehicle anymore.
00:20:13 Because you don't trust your body to be of service for what God wants to do.
00:20:27 Most of us disconnect from our body in order to survive.
00:20:38 Not recognizing that feeling, it won't kill us.
00:20:45 God help me.
00:20:47 I'm out of my league.
00:20:48 I got to be honest with you.
00:20:49 God gave me this word.
00:20:54 God gave me this.
00:21:00 I didn't go to school for it.
00:21:01 I don't understand it.
00:21:02 It's somebody way more qualified to preach it than me.
00:21:04 But God gave it to me, and I'm going to just give you what God gave me.
00:21:08 God told me that most of us have disconnected from our bodies.
00:21:19 And because we have disconnected from our bodies, we think it has kept us safe.
00:21:27 But I hear God saying that we're moving into a season of integration.
00:21:35 That means that in order to be effective, you are going to have to become one
00:21:39 with your body again.
00:21:41 This is not -- which means that you cannot just be a collector.
00:21:53 You cannot just keep on taking on thing after thing without having a plan for
00:22:00 transmission.
00:22:07 Some of us are at our capacity because we've got so much that has been thrown
00:22:15 our way.
00:22:18 I'm at capacity.
00:22:20 I don't have any room in my body for anything else.
00:22:26 I will tell you that my friend Dr. Anita is here, and she'll tell you.
00:22:31 She had the microphone, but now I have to tell you.
00:22:34 And anything I say wrong, just fight her about it.
00:22:36 Just DM her about it.
00:22:38 Don't even come to me with it.
00:22:40 But one of the things that she's taught me that is when you start to feel like
00:22:44 you're at capacity in your body, that you have to release that energy out of
00:22:48 your body.
00:22:50 We don't talk about this enough.
00:22:53 But even going outside and going for a walk, you know how we relieve the
00:22:56 capacity?
00:22:58 A buttermilk biscuit.
00:23:02 A mac and cheese.
00:23:06 We call it comfort food because what it's doing, it is comforting something that
00:23:10 is within our body.
00:23:12 But there are other ways.
00:23:13 There are journaling and exercising.
00:23:15 And all of these things are meant to help us remove some of the tension that is
00:23:19 in our body.
00:23:21 Because when you recognize that if I store it up, then I don't have capacity
00:23:24 for God to move through me.
00:23:26 If I store it up, then I'm no longer sensitive to how God wants to use my body.
00:23:30 So I got to find a way to make sure that this gets up off of me.
00:23:37 We use this too shall pass.
00:23:39 One, like it's in the Bible.
00:23:42 And it's not.
00:23:47 Because it doesn't just pass.
00:23:51 What happens is you have to have a this too shall pass mentality.
00:23:55 Where you say to yourself, just because I stored it, it doesn't mean that I'm
00:23:59 going to keep it.
00:24:01 I got to know that what I'm hanging on to has to pass through me in order for me
00:24:05 to be effective at who God has called me to be.
00:24:08 That means that, yes, when you tell me your problems, I cannot keep them.
00:24:12 I got to pass them on to Jesus.
00:24:14 Cast your burdens on to him.
00:24:16 Why would I cast my burdens on to him?
00:24:18 Because I have a this too shall pass mentality.
00:24:20 I want you to know that one of the greatest things you can do when you are
00:24:24 with a strong friend who is there for everyone is learn how to have a this too
00:24:28 shall pass mentality.
00:24:30 You were not meant to carry everyone's burdens.
00:24:33 You were not meant to carry everyone's stress.
00:24:36 You were not meant to walk everybody through every trauma.
00:24:39 You got to say, girl, I'm going to pray about it.
00:24:42 And by pray about it, I don't mean worry with you about it for the next six
00:24:45 months.
00:24:46 When I say pray about it, that means I'm going to go into my prayer
00:24:49 closet and I'm going to tell God all about your problems.
00:24:53 And when I tell God all about your problems, I'm going to tell him all about
00:24:57 mine too.
00:24:58 But when I close the door on that prayer closet, I'm not going to pack up that
00:25:02 baggage and take it with me.
00:25:04 See, some of our prayer is not effective because we walk into the prayer closet
00:25:08 with baggage.
00:25:09 But then we pack it all up and walk out of the prayer closet too.
00:25:13 But I hear God saying, either you trust me with it or you don't.
00:25:17 I hear you calling my name, but you won't actually lay it at my feet.
00:25:21 And there is somebody in this room carrying in your body what you told God
00:25:26 you were going to leave at the altar.
00:25:28 But I rebuke it in the name of Jesus.
00:25:30 I'm coming up against you and your mentality and your idea of being everyone
00:25:36 else's Savior.
00:25:37 When we got a Savior who got on the cross, not just for you, not just for me,
00:25:42 but for every issue known to man.
00:25:45 And you are putting more on yourself than you can bear.
00:25:50 You got more on you than you can bear.
00:25:53 I know you're standing, but you got more on you than you can bear.
00:25:56 I know you're still showing up at work, but you got more on you than you can
00:26:00 bear.
00:26:01 And there comes a point when you make a decision that I don't just want to be a
00:26:04 high achiever.
00:26:06 I don't want to just be someone who looks like they have it all together.
00:26:09 I want to be someone who understands when it's time to lay it down.
00:26:19 It won't pass if you don't let it go.
00:26:22 God can't fix it if you won't let it go.
00:26:26 God can't heal them if you won't let it go.
00:26:28 God says your hands are in the way of my hands.
00:26:31 And I know you've been in there for long enough, but I hear God saying there
00:26:35 comes a point where you got to trust God with it.
00:26:38 And someone who's got to lay down the altar of being there for everyone else
00:26:42 so that you can allow God to show up, so that they can know for themselves that
00:26:46 he's a provider, so that they can know for himself that he will make a way out
00:26:50 of no way.
00:26:51 You're letting them borrow your revelation, but they can't borrow your
00:26:55 revelation and get your results.
00:26:57 You got to know it for yourself.
00:26:59 And sometimes the only way you can know it for yourself is if I move out of the
00:27:03 way.
00:27:04 It doesn't mean I don't love you, but it means that this job is too big for me.
00:27:08 It doesn't mean I don't want to see you be well.
00:27:10 It just means I want to watch you be well on your own.
00:27:14 I want to support what you're doing, not force you to do it.
00:27:18 And I don't want to keep pushing somebody to grow when they don't want to get
00:27:21 dirty.
00:27:28 And I think God told me this message was going to save somebody's life because
00:27:32 somebody's sick in their body and the doctors can't figure out what it is.
00:27:38 And I hear God saying it's not what it is, it's who it is.
00:27:41 And it's not just them, it's who you allow yourself to be in that situation.
00:27:47 You think it's them, but God told me it's you.
00:28:04 So I got to honor this body that God has given me.
00:28:14 Got to connect with it.
00:28:17 I got to trust it.
00:28:20 And I got to take all this that I have had stored up and I got to pass it on
00:28:28 to Jesus.
00:28:33 There's a scripture in Philippians 4 that I love.
00:28:40 And it speaks to the power of transmission.
00:28:44 Philippians 4, 6 through 7, it says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in
00:28:53 everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be
00:29:00 made known to God.
00:29:03 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your
00:29:08 hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
00:29:13 It speaks to the power of what happens when we take what we've been carrying
00:29:17 to the Lord in prayer.
00:29:21 When I take it to the Lord in prayer, I pour my heart out.
00:29:27 I say, "God, this is what I've been carrying.
00:29:31 God, this is what's been stored up inside of me."
00:29:36 And when we lay it out before God, most of us just stop at that point and then
00:29:40 we miss that the second part says that the peace of God, which surpasses all
00:29:45 understanding, will guard your hearts and minds.
00:29:49 There's something that happens.
00:29:51 You pass on your burdens.
00:29:53 You pass on what you've been carrying.
00:29:56 And then God passes you back something else.
00:30:02 When I lay it out before God, a transmission takes place.
00:30:08 Now all of a sudden where I once had the potential to be anxious, I now have the
00:30:14 opportunity to have my heart and mind guarded and to experience peace.
00:30:22 That means that when I am in prayer, I am in pursuit of the things in my life
00:30:28 which are taking up capacity that no longer have the right to be there.
00:30:35 And in exchange, I am asking God to give me peace for the area where I once had
00:30:41 anxiety, that God would give me peace for the area where I once had worry, that
00:30:46 God would give me peace, not just peace, the kind of peace that we have for a
00:30:49 minute, but the kind of peace that guards my heart and mind.
00:30:52 Why do I need a guard around my heart and my mind?
00:30:55 Because if I don't have a guard around my heart and my mind, I may end up
00:30:58 engaging again in the very thing that I laid down in my prayer closet.
00:31:03 And so I need a guard against my own heart and mind.
00:31:08 And that's what happens when we go in prayer.
00:31:12 And now we've gone to prayer, and now I've made this exchange, and now I have
00:31:16 capacity, I have the ability now to create space for what God wants to do in
00:31:21 my life.
00:31:23 Because in order for us to be effective in this season, I heard God say that
00:31:28 you're going to need to embody the revelation of who you are, who you are in
00:31:35 his eyes.
00:31:38 It's not part-time.
00:31:41 It's not something you're waiting to step into.
00:31:44 The two have been called to embody a word.
00:31:49 He spoke a word that brought your life into existence.
00:31:53 And if I am embodying my trauma or if I am embodying the other things that have
00:31:58 happened to me, I'm embodying stress, I'm embodying other people's
00:32:02 responsibility, then I cannot embody the word that makes me effective in why I
00:32:06 was brought into the earth.
00:32:10 Jesus knew how to shake things off of him because he recognized that at the end
00:32:15 of the day I have been called to embody the word.
00:32:19 And the word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.
00:32:25 The reason why I chose this text with Paul is because I don't think that there
00:32:29 is another example as thorough as the life of Paul that helps us to understand
00:32:36 what it is like to embody the call of God on our life.
00:32:41 It seems like Paul was a peculiar choice considering he was on the other side of
00:32:47 what God was doing in the earth.
00:32:50 He was persecuting Christians, persecuting believers of the way.
00:32:55 He was not on our side at all.
00:32:58 And yet he has an encounter on the road to Damascus that lets us know that that
00:33:05 conversion took place.
00:33:07 And he went from embodying the belief of who he thought he should be to embodying
00:33:12 the belief of who God has called him to be.
00:33:17 And when he moved and made this transition, one of the things that he
00:33:21 tells us in Philippians that he learned in the process of embodying who God has
00:33:26 called him to be is that in order for him to embody it effectively that he has to
00:33:31 forget those things that are behind.
00:33:35 That means in order for him to be effective in the call, he could not keep on
00:33:40 carrying not even the highlights of what had happened.
00:33:43 He couldn't carry what happened behind him, who he used to be.
00:33:46 In order for him to be effective in this moment, he had to forget those things
00:33:50 that were behind.
00:33:51 Why did he have to forget those things that were behind?
00:33:54 Because in order for him to be present in this moment, he had to have a full
00:33:58 integration of who he is right now.
00:34:01 That means that I cannot afford to keep paying for the mistakes of who I was
00:34:05 yesterday and step into who I'm called to be now.
00:34:08 I can't be worried about what I'll look like tomorrow.
00:34:11 I got to step into this moment right now.
00:34:13 Sometimes the greatest prayer that you can pray is, "God, make me present in this
00:34:17 moment right here.
00:34:19 I don't want to miss what this moment has for me.
00:34:21 I don't want to miss who I am supposed to be in this moment.
00:34:24 So make me present, not just in my mind.
00:34:27 Make me present in my body when I'm having a conversation with my partner
00:34:31 and I'm thinking about all of the ways they got it wrong.
00:34:34 And I'm thinking of all the things I could be doing instead of thinking about
00:34:37 those things that are behind or thinking about what I'm going to say in the
00:34:40 future.
00:34:41 God, help me to be present in this moment so I don't miss what you're trying to
00:34:45 do.
00:34:46 Help me to be present when I am creating so that I don't miss the sound that
00:34:49 you're trying to create.
00:34:51 I don't want to be on autopilot.
00:34:53 I want to be present in every moment.
00:34:55 I don't want to just get busy raising the child and putting them on a routine
00:34:58 that I miss the fact that they're going through a depression, that I miss the
00:35:01 fact that they are self-harming.
00:35:03 God, help me to respond in this moment.
00:35:06 Help me to see it the way that you see it.
00:35:08 God says, "I'll take care of the future.
00:35:10 Don't worry about that.
00:35:11 You stay present in this moment."
00:35:13 Why else do we celebrate that he has gone ahead of us and made our crooked
00:35:17 path straight?
00:35:18 That means I don't have to go ahead of me.
00:35:20 He's got ahead of me covered.
00:35:22 All I need to do is work where I am right now so I am forgetting those things
00:35:27 that are behind and I'm going to work where I am right now.
00:35:30 God, make me present in every way possible to what this moment demands.
00:35:37 I don't want to be stuck.
00:35:39 I don't want to be trapped.
00:35:43 And Paul manages to master this.
00:35:47 Paul masters this so well that when my text begins, it says that God works
00:35:54 unusual miracles by the hands of Paul.
00:35:59 It starts off talking about his hands.
00:36:03 But then it says, "So that even his handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from
00:36:09 his body to the sick."
00:36:13 I like this text about the power of him embodying so fully his call that even
00:36:23 the things that he wore were anointed enough to heal the sick.
00:36:29 Oh, it's going to get good in a minute.
00:36:33 He was so locked into his purpose.
00:36:36 He was so locked into who he needed to be in any given moment that even when
00:36:41 they beat and wounded him and then threw him in prison, that Paul and Silas were
00:36:46 still in the prison worshipping and singing songs because he was so locked
00:36:51 into who he was called to be that even when he was up against persecution,
00:36:56 even when he was in the midst of a trial, he still knew how to lock in with God
00:37:00 and not lose focus.
00:37:02 He knew how to lock in with God and make sure he could tap into a praise.
00:37:05 He was so locked in that it was oozing out of his pores.
00:37:09 He was so locked in that even when they beat him, all it did was produce more praise.
00:37:13 Paul was the crazy man who kept talking about suffering producing glory.
00:37:18 And how else does the suffering produce glory unless he is fully in the suffering
00:37:23 so that he can be fully in the glory.
00:37:26 Oh, God, help me because I feel like I'm about to turn the corner on this thing.
00:37:29 The reason why you have to be fully present in your body is because when you're
00:37:34 fully present even in the suffering, you also get to be fully present even in the glory.
00:37:39 The fact that Jesus was so moved with compassion that he felt it in his bowels
00:37:44 means that when he was wounded for our transgression, he really felt that thing in his body.
00:37:50 That means that when the chastisement of our iniquities were upon him,
00:37:54 that he really felt it in his body.
00:37:56 That means that when they nailed his hands to the cross, that he really felt that thing in his body.
00:38:01 But when he was raised up free and victorious, he really felt that in his body.
00:38:07 So much so that he told Thomas, put your hands through the holes
00:38:11 because I'm telling you, I really felt glory happening in my body.
00:38:15 I want somebody to know that it is possible to be so anointed that it rouses through your body.
00:38:21 To be so anointed that you shift the atmosphere when you walk into a room.
00:38:26 To be so anointed that when you step into the space, all of a sudden the conversation must be elevated.
00:38:33 Because what God has done in me, before I even opened my mouth, you can experience it by the way I carry my body.
00:38:41 My body tells you I'm not the one.
00:38:43 My body tells you that I'm fearfully and wonderfully made.
00:38:47 My body tells you that I went through hell and I know how to fight a devil.
00:38:51 My body tells me. My body tells me.
00:38:55 My body, my body makes it known.
00:39:00 My body makes it known it's happening in my body.
00:39:04 There was a woman who was so convinced that God could help her.
00:39:08 That when she heard that Jesus was in her town, that he was walking through the multitude.
00:39:14 And Jesus was so in tune with his body that when this woman was walking through,
00:39:19 she had had an issue of blood for 12 years and she could feel the flow in her body.
00:39:25 But she thought within herself, if I could just lock into Jesus,
00:39:29 then maybe that thing that I've been feeling would finally stop flowing.
00:39:33 And so she ran up on Jesus and Jesus was so locked in that he said, "Who touched me? Who touched me?"
00:39:40 And they said, "No, the multitude's thrown you. How could you ask who touched you?"
00:39:44 And he said, "I know that somebody touched me because I felt power come out of my body.
00:39:49 I felt power come out of my body."
00:39:52 But check this, the woman was so locked in that when she touched him,
00:39:56 it says immediately the flow of blood stopped.
00:40:00 That means she was so checked into what was happening with her body
00:40:04 that she knew the moment she got healed, "God help me. God help me. God help me.
00:40:08 There's something going to happen in this room."
00:40:11 When somebody touches the hem of his garment, the woman is so locked in.
00:40:17 Anybody with a flow will tell you that you can't tell when the flow starts
00:40:24 and you can't tell when the flow stops.
00:40:27 But life had backed her into a corner so much that she had to get sensitive about her body.
00:40:33 And when she got sensitive about her body, when she locked into Jesus,
00:40:37 Jesus locked into her and there was an exchange that took place
00:40:42 because their one body touched another body.
00:40:45 One body drew power from another body.
00:40:48 And now all of a sudden my body is saying this sign that I've been touched by power.
00:40:53 I've been touched with breakthrough.
00:40:56 Jesus, help me.
00:41:04 Jesus was so anointed that it was on the hem of his garment.
00:41:09 He was so anointed that it was on his clothes.
00:41:12 He was so in touch with his body that he recognized that when she grabbed him
00:41:17 that she pulled something from him and she was so in touch with what she needed
00:41:21 that she knew that when she got the power, it healed her.
00:41:24 I hear God saying that some of you been touching God, but you didn't touch him with a target.
00:41:29 And because she touched him with a target in mind, she knew the very moment she got healed.
00:41:35 I hear God saying that if you start taking that power and pointing it into the direction of where you need healing,
00:41:41 you'll mess around and get healed in a way you didn't think was possible.
00:41:45 You'll mess around and get breakthrough in a way you didn't even know was possible.
00:41:49 I hear God saying start looking for the signs in your body that I healed you.
00:41:54 Start looking for the signs in your body that you made it to the other side.
00:41:58 God says you'll feel it in your body before you even denounce it to the crowd.
00:42:03 You'll feel it in your body.
00:42:05 God won't even know that you were healed until he makes the announcement that allows you to be seen.
00:42:12 Because a woman with the issue of blood knew it before anybody else did.
00:42:19 Man, I don't know who this is for.
00:42:21 God, and I ask that you would give me wisdom.
00:42:24 Because God told me to tell somebody that you could be healed and not know it
00:42:29 if you don't lock in to what you've been praying and asking God for.
00:42:33 God says you could be healed and not know it.
00:42:35 If you don't recognize where you need his power to show up in your life, you could be healed.
00:42:42 Healed and not know it.
00:42:45 And I got to be honest to you, I prayed.
00:42:49 And I ask God for healing to break out in this room.
00:42:56 I ask God for courage to break out in this room.
00:43:01 I ask God for there to be deliverance in this room that it would be undeniable
00:43:05 because somebody locked in so heavily with what God was doing
00:43:12 that they felt the power when it came out of heaven.
00:43:18 I don't think there's anything more beautiful
00:43:23 than when somebody starts having hands laid on them.
00:43:32 But when the person on the other side wants the hands laid on them.
00:43:39 There's something that happens when you lock in to what the person is carrying
00:43:45 and you recognize that they're carrying something that you need.
00:43:49 Of course a miracle breaks out.
00:43:52 Because when you lock in, the Bible says it like this,
00:43:55 "Wherever two or three are gathered in my name, wherever two or three lock in in my name,
00:43:59 I'll be there in the midst.
00:44:01 If you lock in, I'll show up in the way that you need me to.
00:44:04 If you lock in in my midst, I'll allow healing to break through."
00:44:08 If you lock in, it'll make all the difference.
00:44:16 This woman, this woman with the issue of blood, she mastered the art of locking in.
00:44:26 I chose this text.
00:44:29 God revealed it to me because I believe God wanted me to understand
00:44:34 and wanted you to understand that what happened with Paul is possible for you.
00:44:42 That there is an opportunity for a fully integrated faith.
00:44:48 An opportunity--
00:44:49 Chad, my wig is--oh, well, tell me about it now.
00:44:58 I don't care.
00:45:00 Y'all don't think this is my hair, do you?
00:45:08 I really don't care.
00:45:11 Because none of this is really necessary.
00:45:16 Because I recognize what is really necessary.
00:45:19 If the wigs stay on or not, if the shoes stay on or not,
00:45:23 I know what I'm really here for.
00:45:26 I understand that I came here to lock in on something.
00:45:29 So you can make the memes and make the videos.
00:45:31 At the end of the day, one thing I know for sure is that me and God locked in on a word.
00:45:36 And if this is a distraction, then let it fall off.
00:45:39 Because at the end of the day, I believe that I am called to bring breakthrough in this room.
00:45:44 And if I'm in the way of the breakthrough, then move me out of the way.
00:45:48 Because what I want more than anything is for him to have his way.
00:45:53 So I'm locked in on what God wants to do in this place.
00:45:57 And if miracles are going to break out, then let a wig fall off.
00:46:01 If miracles are going to break out, then let the shoes come off.
00:46:05 If miracles are going to break out, y'all think I need this.
00:46:08 I don't need this. I do it because it makes me look good.
00:46:12 But at the end of the day, I know what's good.
00:46:15 I know that if he goes before me, I know that if his spirit breathes in this room.
00:46:22 Holy Ghost, Holy Ghost, Holy Ghost.
00:46:27 I came for power. I came for breakthrough.
00:46:30 I came so somebody could get healed.
00:46:33 I came so somebody could experience the wonder, work, and power of God.
00:46:38 I heard that God is still performing miracles.
00:46:41 So I ask God to let me be a part of it.
00:46:44 And I don't care if I got to be embarrassed.
00:46:47 If you get the glory at the end of the day, see, don't let it fool you.
00:46:51 It's not that deep. It's not that deep.
00:46:58 The worst thing you can do is make it about you when God is trying to use you.
00:47:04 If you make it about you when God is trying to use you,
00:47:07 you'll miss the moment when glory can come through you.

00:51:08 I can just say what he said and it'll have the same results.
00:51:13 But they didn't have his revelation.
00:51:17 So they could not have his results.
00:51:23 The power of the revelation
00:51:29 of who you are to be in the earth
00:51:33 requires that you embody it with such trust
00:51:38 that you don't care what it looks like to other people.
00:51:46 That you embody it with such confidence
00:51:51 that even those who knew one version of you
00:51:54 have to get used to this new version of you.
00:51:58 Paul knew how to embody this thing.
00:52:05 I don't know who you are.
00:52:09 But I promise you one of the things I heard God say to me
00:52:14 is that we have to embody the thing that we're talking about.
00:52:21 Because God told me
00:52:24 I'm going to start whispering my truths in your body.
00:52:36 It's going to be in your body. Stop talking to people.
00:52:41 It's going to be in your body.
00:52:45 God says you're going to feel my love in your body.
00:52:51 You're going to feel my healing in your body.
00:52:54 You're going to feel breakthrough in your body.
00:52:56 I'm going to put it in your body.
00:52:59 The strength is going to be in your body.
00:53:01 The creativity, the path you're supposed to take.
00:53:04 God says check in with your body.
00:53:09 Because I'm going to start showing you
00:53:14 by the way you feel.
00:53:19 God says I'm making you more sensitive than you've ever been.
00:53:26 And if you've made a habit of overriding your body
00:53:31 then you'll miss who you are supposed to engage with,
00:53:34 who you're supposed to walk away from.
00:53:36 You'll make it a mind game. This isn't a mind game.
00:53:38 This is a full body game.
00:53:40 This is a full body game. If you don't believe me, ask Jesus.
00:53:43 It was a full body game.
00:53:45 Yes, I know you said this body is going to perish.
00:53:47 And one day it is. But right now God is using that body.
00:53:50 And God wants you to honor that body.
00:53:53 And check in with that body.
00:53:59 The last thing I'll say is this.
00:54:04 When the magicians of the time heard what happened,
00:54:10 God helped me to say it.
00:54:15 The revelation that Paul received
00:54:20 was so powerful that it was oozing out of his pores.
00:54:25 So powerful that it created imitators.
00:54:29 But because the imitators didn't have that revelation,
00:54:33 that evil spirit was able to jump on them.
00:54:38 Paul was famous in hell.
00:54:41 Jesus I know. Paul I know.
00:54:43 But who are you? You don't have no power
00:54:46 to back up the thing you're trying to do.
00:54:48 If you had some power, I would back up both of you.
00:54:51 I hear God saying that when it's all said and done,
00:54:53 I don't want you to be famous before man.
00:54:56 I want you to be famous in hell.
00:54:58 I want the demons to know your name.
00:55:00 I want the devil to know your name.
00:55:02 I want everyone to understand that that power you got
00:55:06 was not just an encounter.
00:55:08 It was a powerful lifestyle.

00:55:14 And where there is no power,
00:55:21 there will be a principality.
00:55:26 And when the demons let him know
00:55:34 that he didn't know who they were,
00:55:37 they ran away and hid.
00:55:41 I want us to be like Paul,
00:55:44 but I want us to admit
00:55:47 when we're more like the Jewish exorcists,
00:55:52 when we are borrowing someone else's revelation
00:55:57 and expecting their results.

00:56:09 I need my own revelation
00:56:13 so that I can have the results that have my name on them.
00:56:18 Because if I can get my own revelation,
00:56:22 then I won't be envious of someone else's results.

00:56:33 The magicians got a revelation after this
00:56:38 because they understood that Paul's God, that Jesus,
00:56:43 was so powerful that he was able to do something
00:56:47 when he wasn't even in the room.
00:56:49 He was able to--the enemy, the devil, the demons
00:56:52 were able to recognize the strength of his power
00:56:56 even when he wasn't working,
00:56:58 even when he wasn't present to make it happen.
00:57:01 And the magicians even understood
00:57:03 that it is worth me locking in to who Jesus is
00:57:07 so that I can experience the real thing.
00:57:09 I want to talk to somebody who's got counterfeit tools.
00:57:14 [cheers and applause]
00:57:17 Maybe you don't call it magic.
00:57:28 Maybe you call it something else.
00:57:31 But you believe that it has power.
00:57:35 And because you have divided up what you think has power--
00:57:39 I'll take this 'cause I think it has power,
00:57:41 I'll take that because it has power--
00:57:43 you can't even really experience the power of Jesus
00:57:46 because Jesus has been diluted
00:57:48 by all of the other things that you believe have power.
00:57:51 But I want to give you an opportunity to lock in for real.
00:57:55 I know you think that sex has power.
00:57:57 I know you think the crystals have power.
00:57:59 I know you think that the witchcraft has power.
00:58:02 I hate it, but if we're gonna be real, we might as well be real.
00:58:05 I know you think it has power, but I hear God saying
00:58:08 that I've got more power than all of those things,
00:58:10 but you didn't lock in with me.
00:58:12 And because you didn't lock in with me,
00:58:14 you feel like you needed a counterfeit.
00:58:16 But I hear God saying, "You got the real deal, baby."
00:58:19 And when God gets finished with you,
00:58:21 the real deal shows up everywhere.

00:58:27 And I'm crazy enough to believe
00:58:32 that there's still power in the name of Jesus.
00:58:35 (cheers and applause)
00:58:38 And this is not the kind of power
00:58:48 that is religious.
00:58:51 It's not the kind of power that is about rules.
00:58:55 It is a full-body experience.
00:58:58 Where you become more and more like Jesus for real
00:59:03 because the Spirit of God fills you.
00:59:07 The Spirit of God touches you.
00:59:10 The Spirit of God empowers you,
00:59:13 propels you, leads you, directs you.
00:59:17 And what I want for you more than anything
00:59:19 on this Pentecost Sunday
00:59:22 is for the Spirit of God
00:59:26 to take up residence in your life
00:59:30 and for you to lock in with the Spirit of God
00:59:35 like Paul did in a way
00:59:38 that shows up in your body like Jesus did,
00:59:42 in a way that shows up in your body
00:59:45 and oozes through your pores.
00:59:49 I want to pray with you.

01:00:13 I want to pray for somebody
01:00:16 who's been having a hard time locking in.
01:00:19 They've experienced pain,
01:00:25 betrayal, distrust,
01:00:28 pride, nerves,
01:00:31 started achieving and got further and further away
01:00:34 from the thing that put me in the position
01:00:36 to have success in the first place.
01:00:40 But I need to lock in.
01:00:43 I need to get real about this thing again.
01:00:46 I do believe that we are in the end times.
01:00:49 And as a result of being in the end times,
01:00:52 we can't afford to straddle the fence any longer.
01:00:55 We got to lock in all the way.
01:00:57 We got to be aligned for real.
01:00:59 I got to be all of who God has called me to be,
01:01:02 and I got to take care of my body to do it.
01:01:04 I got to take care of my mind to do it.
01:01:07 I got to lose my pride in order to make it happen.
01:01:09 I got to lock in.
01:01:12 But the truth is, sometimes it's difficult to lock in
01:01:16 because we've been carrying so many things
01:01:20 that have kept us burdened.
01:01:23 But before we go, I want to create an altar in this place
01:01:28 where you can lay down what you have been carrying.
01:01:32 Pour your heart out before the Lord
01:01:37 so that the peace of God,
01:01:40 which surpasses all understanding,
01:01:44 can guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.
01:01:51 You're going to need the Holy Spirit to get it done.
01:01:55 You're going to need to be a version of yourself
01:01:58 that you never thought possible to get it done.
01:02:02 But you can do it.
01:02:04 That's why you can feel it in your body that you can do it.
01:02:09 That's why it won't let you go,
01:02:11 because you can feel that it's possible.
01:02:13 I wish I could go to sleep at night,
01:02:15 but I feel it in my body.
01:02:16 I'm on the brink of something. I feel it.
01:02:20 And God's going to get you to the finish line.
01:02:26 And then you're going to get in the race again.
01:02:30 And he's going to carry you from glory to glory to glory to glory.
01:02:39 If you're in this room and you don't know Jesus,
01:02:42 I promise you that it is the best decision I've ever made.
01:02:53 You may know church, but if you don't know Jesus,
01:02:55 I promise you that you need to try Jesus.
01:02:58 You may have heard a sermon, but if you don't know Jesus,
01:03:00 I'm telling you there is a difference from having an encounter in church
01:03:04 and having a personal relationship with Jesus.
01:03:07 To understand the love of God poured out through his son Jesus
01:03:11 is one of the most identity transforming decisions that you could ever make.
01:03:17 And I want to invite you to be in relationship with Jesus.
01:03:21 If that's you, I want you to meet us at this altar.
01:03:24 When I tell you that Jesus knows how to take what's been burdening you,
01:03:29 what you've been carrying it and show you how to transform it into what he can use.
01:03:37 Jesus can save you from the things you don't know how to walk away from.
01:03:44 Jesus can save you from the voices tormenting you in your mind.
01:03:49 Jesus can save you out of darkness and into light.
01:03:52 There is no one like Jesus. I promise you.
01:03:54 If you just try him once, if you say I want to wake up every day
01:03:58 and I just want to be in relationship with Jesus
01:04:01 because Jesus passes his attributes on to me.
01:04:04 He passes his character on to me.
01:04:06 There's a transmission that takes place.
01:04:08 I give him my weakness. I give him my sin.
01:04:11 And in exchange, he gives me wisdom.
01:04:13 He gives me love. He gives me grace.
01:04:15 He gives me mercy. I'm in relationship with Jesus.
01:04:18 I don't just go to church. I'm in relationship with Jesus.
01:04:21 This is not the highlight of my spiritual week.
01:04:24 The highlight of my spiritual week is when I'm in my prayer closet by myself.
01:04:28 It's when I'm driving in my car and Jesus is telling me,
01:04:31 you know I'm going to take care of that.
01:04:33 Jesus is telling me, you know I already got that covered.
01:04:36 That can only happen through relationship.
01:04:44 Jesus, you said once that you only do what you see your father in heaven do.
01:04:52 Jesus, you knew how to lock in.
01:04:56 Jesus, even on the cross, you looked up and you said,
01:05:00 Father, why have thou forsaken me?
01:05:04 You were so locked in with Jesus that you could even share with Jesus.
01:05:08 You could even share with God.
01:05:10 When you were experiencing burden and pain and disappointment,
01:05:14 you didn't allow the pain to make you turn your back on God.
01:05:17 Jesus, you knew how to lock in.
01:05:21 God, here at this altar, here in this room,
01:05:27 are those of us who are trying to lock in.
01:05:31 We want to be more like you, Jesus.
01:05:34 We want to understand who we are in the earth
01:05:37 and why you allowed us to survive thing after thing.
01:05:40 We want to know why you place value on our lives.
01:05:43 We want to lock in with you.
01:05:45 We've been locked in with our pain long enough.
01:05:47 We've been locked in with addiction long enough.
01:05:49 We've been locked in with trauma long enough.
01:05:51 We've been locked in pursuing love for long enough.
01:05:53 God, we want to lock in with you.
01:05:55 We want to lock in with Jesus so that we can become more like you
01:05:59 because I want my life to mean something in your kingdom.
01:06:02 I want the works of my hand to mean something in your kingdom.
01:06:06 So, Father, we turn our eyes towards you and we say,
01:06:10 "We see you."
01:06:13 And we know you see us.
01:06:17 And what a gift it is to be seen by God.
01:06:21 God, I pray that you would give them focus like they've never had before.
01:06:26 God, I pray that you would remove the distractions that cloud their vision.
01:06:31 The moment they get momentum in their spirituality,
01:06:34 then something comes in and distracts it.
01:06:36 We speak a hedge of protection over them in the name of Jesus.
01:06:40 We rebuke the distractions that are keeping them
01:06:43 from stepping fully into who they are called to be.
01:06:46 God, we come up against their own desires,
01:06:49 their own desires that are tripping them up.
01:06:51 And, God, we pray that you would allow them to lose the taste out of their mouths
01:06:55 for the very thing that keeps pulling them backward.
01:06:58 God, I thank you that you're changing appetites at this altar.
01:07:01 I thank you that you're at this
01:07:04 altar. I thank you that you're
01:07:06 healing them right here at this
01:07:07 altar. I thank you. They don't
01:07:09 have to wait six months. I thank
01:07:11 you. They don't have to press
01:07:12 through a crowd. I thank you
01:07:13 that you are as near as the very
01:07:16 mention of your name. So, on
01:07:18 this Pentecost Sunday, we gather
01:07:20 on one accord and we say Jesus,
01:07:23 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
01:07:25 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. And
01:07:29 we believe that we pull power
01:07:31 for the issues that are flowing
01:07:33 in their life. When we speak
01:07:35 your name, we believe that we
01:07:37 pull power over their
01:07:38 circumstance. When we speak
01:07:40 your name, we believe that
01:07:42 demons tremble. When we speak
01:07:44 your name, we believe
01:07:45 depression has to flee. When we
01:07:47 speak your name, we believe
01:07:49 that crystals have to drop,
01:07:51 that magic has to run away.
01:07:53 When we speak your name,
01:07:55 witchcraft have to go. Jesus,
01:07:57 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
01:08:00 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, in
01:08:03 the name of Jesus, in the name
01:08:05 of Jesus, in the name of Jesus,
01:08:08 in the name that is above every
01:08:10 other name. We speak healing in
01:08:12 their bodies, healing in their
01:08:14 minds. Healing. Healing over
01:08:19 their insecurities, healing over
01:08:21 their self-image, healing over
01:08:23 their self-esteem, healing over
01:08:25 their marriage, healing over
01:08:26 their families. In the name of
01:08:28 Jesus, if I said it in my name,
01:08:30 you'd be in trouble. But
01:08:32 because I said it in the name
01:08:33 of Jesus, I know that where two
01:08:35 or three are gathered, that
01:08:37 he's in the midst. Jesus, if
01:08:39 you're in the room, let me
01:08:41 touch the hymn. Jesus, if
01:08:43 you're in the room, let me
01:08:45 touch. We just want to touch.
01:08:53 We just want to touch. Your
01:08:57 power has a target. God, I
01:09:02 pray that this would not be an
01:09:04 ending, but that it would be a
01:09:08 new beginning. I thank you,
01:09:11 God, that as they go throughout
01:09:12 their week, that you will give
01:09:17 them wisdom on creating an
01:09:18 environment that doesn't change
01:09:22 their ability to lock in. I
01:09:25 thank you that you're giving
01:09:26 them boundaries so that their
01:09:28 power isn't diluted. I thank
01:09:31 you for wisdom and strategy. I
01:09:34 thank you for breakthrough. I
01:09:37 thank you that somebody feels
01:09:38 the healing in their body. I
01:09:40 thank you that when somebody
01:09:41 goes to the doctor the next
01:09:43 time, the very issue that sent
01:09:45 them in there is going to be
01:09:47 gone and they won't know why.
01:09:49 But we'll know it's because I
01:09:51 have a power that's been left
01:09:53 around and locked in with my
01:09:55 body. I pulled power out of
01:09:57 heaven. When I pulled power out
01:09:59 of heaven, it lowered my blood
01:10:02 pressure. It changed the
01:10:04 cholesterol. Cancer had to get
01:10:06 out of the way. I believe he
01:10:08 still does miracles. I believe
01:10:10 that your joints are working
01:10:12 together. I prophesy in the
01:10:14 name of Jesus that the cells
01:10:16 are working as God designed,
01:10:18 that the tissue is being
01:10:19 repaired. That God says, I will
01:10:21 perform surgery. I prophesy it
01:10:24 in the name of Jesus. Let your
01:10:26 power invade their body the way
01:10:29 you did it with the woman and
01:10:30 the issue of blood. God, I
01:10:32 thank you that your cause and
01:10:33 the blood clots to move. I
01:10:35 thank you that the hemorrhaging
01:10:37 is stopping. I thank you, God,
01:10:39 that your power makes the
01:10:40 difference. We don't just want
01:10:43 your power for what we do, God.
01:10:45 We want your power for who we
01:10:47 are, God. We want your power to
01:10:49 dwell in us. We want your power
01:10:51 to move us, propel us, to heal
01:10:54 us, and guide us. Thank you,
01:10:59 God, for the opportunity to
01:11:03 realign. Thank you for the
01:11:06 soundtrack that will continue
01:11:09 to usher us into your presence.
01:11:13 Thank you for the friendships
01:11:14 that will continue to usher us
01:11:15 into your presence. Thank you
01:11:17 for turning the hearts of
01:11:19 those who are called to us
01:11:20 towards us. I thank you, God,
01:11:23 that as you do it, that
01:11:26 ultimately you are preparing
01:11:28 the body for your return. As we
01:11:33 prepare our bodies, you prepare

01:11:42 and overflow into everything

01:11:47 God, as only you can do. Allow
01:11:50 it to take root and to produce
01:11:53 fruit, generational fruit. In

01:14:39 show us how to see them. We
01:14:41 need balance. We need patience.
01:14:43 Some of us are finally going to
01:14:44 write the book. Some of us are
01:14:47 finally going to get the
01:14:48 therapy. Some of us are going
01:14:49 to really lock in in a fresh
01:14:51 new way. So, Holy Spirit, you
01:14:56 know what tomorrow holds. You
01:14:59 know what this week holds. I
01:15:02 thank you, God, that though it
01:15:03 may take us by surprise, it
01:15:05 won't take you by surprise. So,
01:15:08 God, we trust that you will show
01:15:09 us who we need to be in every
01:15:11 moment of this week. That when
01:15:14 we get ready to respond the way
01:15:16 that we would usually respond,
01:15:17 that we would feel it in our
01:15:18 body to just wait, be patient,
01:15:20 hear us out. God, I thank you
01:15:23 that as our body is
01:15:24 communicating to us that you
01:15:25 will fix our ears, our heart,
01:15:28 and mind to respond. God, I
01:15:31 pray for protection over these,
01:15:34 your sons and daughters, my
01:15:35 brothers and sisters. May no
01:15:38 harm come towards their
01:15:39 dwelling. May no harm come to
01:15:42 their finances. God, open our
01:15:45 eyes that we will recognize the
01:15:47 moments when it is you and you
01:15:48 alone who have shown up for us.
01:15:51 Thank you, God, that you're
01:15:52 going to empower us. Thank you,
01:15:54 God, that you're going to give
01:15:55 us rest. Thank you that you're
01:15:57 going to stretch the finances.
