00:00 Hey guys, welcome to my channel.
00:11 Today I'm going to be showing you how to get this 4th of July makeup look.
00:14 I think it is very bright and very festive and patriotic.
00:19 I just love how this look turned out.
00:21 At first I didn't think it was going to be wearable but now that I look at it, I would
00:25 definitely wear this on the 4th of July.
00:27 Today's video is going to be a little bit different.
00:29 I'm actually going to talk through the video and tell you what I'm applying, why I'm applying
00:33 it, or how it helps or doesn't help.
00:35 I hope that you find that helpful.
00:37 Without further ado, let's get started.
00:39 I'm going to be using the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer.
00:43 What this does is it gives you a smooth base to work with and it allows your shadows to
00:48 stay on all day.
00:50 It also intensifies the eyeshadows that you're going to put on.
01:02 I'm going to be using the Urban Decay Electric Palette.
01:06 This palette has such bright and fun colors.
01:09 As you can see, it has the colors I need.
01:12 I'm going to take this electric blue color called Chaos and that's just going on my crease.
01:18 I'm just using the brush that comes with the palette.
01:32 I'm just going out with this color and I'm just winging it out a little bit, kind of
01:37 like a cut crease.
01:38 As you can see, this color is super pigmented so a little bit goes a long way.
01:46 Don't worry if it's a little bit messy because we're going back with shadows and we'll clean
01:51 that up.
01:57 What you want to do is you want to just follow the natural hollows of your eyes and where
02:03 that crease is, you just want to follow that line.
02:06 I'm going to go out and just wing it a little bit.
02:10 After I've established the crease, I'm going to go back in with a little bit more color
02:18 and then I'm going to blend it up a little bit more right here.
02:27 The next I'm going to be using the lighter blue and this is called Gonzo.
02:33 I'm going to apply it on my lid but only halfway because the other half I'm going to be applying
02:38 the white.
02:39 You want to go a little bit underneath where we put the darker blue.
02:46 You're also following that wing out there a little bit.
02:53 Where the two colors meet, I'm just going to pack in the color a little more and this
02:57 helps clean up the line.
03:07 I'm going to take that same light blue color and I'm going to now mix it with the darker
03:13 blue color and that's going on the actual lid.
03:29 I decided that I really like these two colors so instead I'm going to bring it all the way
03:34 up.
03:37 Now I'm taking the smaller end of the brush and I went back with the two shades and I'm
03:49 just creating the wing.
03:53 This will also give me a guideline as to where to put my eyeliner.
04:08 So next I'm going to be taking the shade called Revolt and that's going on the empty space
04:15 of the lid that we left.
04:17 Where the two colors meet, I'm just going to blend it in.
04:32 Now I'm going to be taking the red shade called Slow Burn and that's going on the bottom lash
04:51 line.
04:52 I'm just applying this liner a little bit more.
05:03 So next I'm going to line my eyes with the BH Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner.
05:17 So the eyeliner is not going to be that hard today, we are just going to follow where this
05:22 line ends.
05:29 So on the outer eye, I'm going to make the eyeliner a little bit more thick and as I'm
05:34 getting closer to my inner eye, the liner is just going to go thinner and thinner.
05:52 I just love this eyeliner because it's so easy to work with and it colors really black.
06:10 So now I'm going to just take a white shade and in the palette it's a little bit more
06:14 silver so you can take any white shade that you have.
06:18 I'm going to take Nylon from MAC and this is going right in my brow bone.
06:30 Alright so now let's do my brows.
06:33 I'm just using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade and this is in the color Chocolate
06:40 and I'm using a MAC 263 brush.
06:43 So with this dip brow pomade, if you're not used to it, it's a little bit tricky so you
06:49 just want to take a little bit and then clean off the edges.
06:54 And then you go in and first I'm just establishing the upper part of my brow.
07:01 I'm going to extend it how far I want it.
07:05 Some people like it thinner, some people like it longer, it just depends on your preference
07:10 really.
07:11 And I'm just going in small hair-like strokes to make it a little bit more natural.
07:30 You can skip this step but I like to go back in with the Anastasia Brow Wiz in the shade
07:36 Dark Brown and I'm just using this to define the upper part of my brow.
07:43 And in my opinion, these small strokes, it's a lot harder to take away than it is to add.
07:54 Moving on to concealer, I am taking MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade NC20.
08:02 I'm just going to squeeze one pump onto my hand and by doing this, you're just going
08:08 to warm up the concealer a bit.
08:10 And now I'm just going to take a foundation brush and go into the concealer and I'm just
08:16 going to make an upside down triangle.
08:25 I'm just going to take my beauty blender and just push the concealer into my skin and you
08:30 just want to use dabbing motions.
08:36 Very quickly after my concealer, I'm going to set it so that it doesn't crease.
08:45 And I am using Laura Mercier's Translucent Powder and this is a Real Techniques contour
08:51 brush.
08:57 And I'm going to take a white eye pencil and I'm just going to line my waterline.
09:01 And the white color on the waterline will just help to open up your eyes.
09:05 So I decided that I wanted to add a little bit of glitter to this look.
09:09 So I am going to take glitter injections and I believe this color is called Amour.
09:15 I'm not positive, but I will link everything below just to make sure.
09:19 To apply it, I will be using the Eye Candy Liquid Sugar and this stuff is amazing if
09:25 you are applying any type of glitter on your eyes.
09:28 It isn't sticky and it just holds your glitter and I just love this stuff.
09:32 And I'm using the brush that came with it.
09:35 So to open up the glitter injections, I'm just going to pull the lid off, but you really
09:40 want to be careful because you don't want it to get all over your face.
09:44 So I'm just going to take the liquid sugar and I'm going to add one drop onto my brush.
09:53 And I'm just taking the top of this because it has glitter on it and I don't want too
10:00 much since it's going on the bottom lash line.
10:02 Taking about that much.
10:14 So I found some blue glitter and this is by Motives.
10:17 It's called Lagoon Blue and I'm going to apply it the same way.
10:21 What I'm going to do is I'm just going to tap out some glitter.
10:25 I don't want too much.
10:26 To avoid fallout, what I do is I take a little bit on the tip of the brush and then I just
10:31 go on a piece of paper or something and I just like tap my brush kind of and it will
10:36 take out all the excess glitter that's not already applied to the glue.
10:40 Do you see where there's that gray color and then there's that dark blue?
10:46 And right in between there is like this blue and that is where I'm going to apply it.
10:59 So with glitter you don't want to take a lot and just put it in one area.
11:02 What you want to do is just take a little bit at a time and you can just keep adding
11:07 as much as you want.
11:09 And this will prevent it looking like clumps kind of.
11:18 Now I'm just going to add just a tiny bit of white glitter and this is by BH Cosmetics
11:26 and this is in the shade Pearl.
11:28 And I'm just going to apply it right on top of the gray.
11:37 Now I'm going back in to the same palette with the color Revolt which is that silver
11:41 that we used and I'm just going to put this on the inner corner of my eyes.
11:46 This will just help brighten up the whole look.
11:49 So for lashes I'm going to use my favorite lashes.
11:52 This is Iconic by House of Lashes and to apply it I'm going to use Salon Perfect and this
11:57 is just a strip eyelash glue and to do this I'm just going to put a drop like that on
12:03 my hand.
12:04 And then with the eyelash there's like a border, kind of a rim.
12:06 You get that rim and I'm just slowly going through the glue.
12:10 And I always put a little bit more towards the ends so that it'll stick better.
12:18 So now it looks like this and what you want to do is just allow it to dry just a little
12:23 bit and so I want it to of course go upwards so I'm just bringing the lash down like this.
12:30 I don't know if I'm explaining this well but bear with me and I'm just going as close in
12:37 to my eyelashes as I can.
12:40 So now I'm just going to stick one end and just push that end in and then I'm going to
12:49 the other end and I'm just also going to push that in.
13:00 What I also like to do is I like to take my finger and just go right above and just run
13:04 it through the eyelash like that.
13:07 Not the border but right on top and just go like that just so that if there's any glue
13:13 in the front it doesn't look white when you put it on.
13:25 And then I'm just going to go ahead and just go right over the top of my lash line.
13:32 And I'm just going to go ahead and just go right over the top of my lash line.
13:38 And I'm just going to go ahead and just go right over the top of my lash line.
13:43 And I'm just going to go ahead and just go right over the top of my lash line.
13:48 And I'm just going to go ahead and just go right over the top of my lash line.
13:49 And I'm just going to go ahead and just go right over the top of my lash line.
13:50 And I'm just going to go ahead and just go right over the top of my lash line.
13:51 And I'm just going to go ahead and just go right over the top of my lash line.
13:52 And I'm just going to go ahead and just go right over the top of my lash line.
13:53 I usually use is a bit more bronze. So I'm just taking the tip of my fan brush and I'm just dipping that in the highlighter and
14:00 It just looks like a little bit just like that
14:03 Moving on to lips I am using Mac lip liner in cherry and
14:10 Mac lipstick in Ruby woo, and I don't know what happened to my lipstick, but for some reason
14:16 I'm not gonna push it all the way out, but for some reason it's broken halfway down
14:21 So to apply Ruby woo, I am using Mac brush 318 and this is just a retractable lip brush
