Flirty Makeup Tutorial ft. Maybelline The Blushed Palette

00:13 So today's video is going to be a tutorial using the Maybelline Blushed Nudes palette.
00:18 Now this is a new palette to me.
00:19 I recently just put this in my haul because this is what I recently just bought.
00:24 And I didn't like it when I was doing the haul.
00:26 I actually used it for that video and I just did not like it, the pigmentation wasn't there
00:30 for me.
00:31 But for today, I used the light shades with my finger instead of a brush.
00:36 And so I'm definitely liking the palette a lot more than I did last time.
00:40 So when I look at this palette, I definitely think of Naked 3 palette or the Colson Sensory
00:46 Veiled palette.
00:47 They're all very similar in the rose gold and like mauve-y purple-y shades.
00:52 I think they're beautiful.
00:53 The only two shades that I'm completely sold on from this entire palette is this shade
00:56 right here and this shade right here.
00:58 They're both very beautiful and pigmented.
01:01 The only complaint I have about this entire palette is there's only one matte shade and
01:05 that is this shade right here.
01:07 Now it's a beautiful crease color, but for an all-over color, everything else is satin
01:11 and either shimmery or metallicy.
01:13 It's not that big of a deal.
01:15 You can work with it, but all in all, I think it's a great palette.
01:18 So I kind of created a look that is more on the flirty side, so you can definitely wear
01:23 it on a first date and you feel like adding a little bit of color to your eyes and to
01:28 your lips, which is more of like pinky and flirty.
01:32 So that's what I decided to do.

01:36 So the first thing I'm going to start off with is my Maybelline Master Conceal as a
01:40 primer to cover up the redness from just plucking a few little freaking brow hairs that wouldn't
01:45 come out.
01:46 I was like trying for like 10,000 hours.
01:50 And to cover up my veins and prime my eyelids.
01:53 That's a lot.
01:56 I got way too much.
02:01 I'll just bring this under my eyes while I'm at it.
02:06 So the first color we're going to go in is we're going to go in with this color right
02:09 here.
02:10 It is a very satiny light pink and I'm just going to dust this all over my eyelid, all
02:15 the way up to my brow bone.
02:23 The only thing I do not like about this palette is there's only one matte shade and it's driving
02:27 me bonkers.
02:29 Now we're going to take this shade right here and we're going to buff this in our crease
02:33 and we're going to blow it out really nicely and just blend it as much as you possibly
02:37 can.
02:40 And this is the only matte shade in the entire palette.
02:43 Why?
02:44 I don't know.
02:58 Okay now that we have the crease color in we're going to go in with this nice, it's
03:02 like a gold, a rose gold color.
03:05 It's more on the gold-y shade, less rosy.
03:08 Oh my gosh, I cannot speak.
03:12 I'm just going to, honestly, I'm going to use this with my finger and just apply it
03:16 to my eyelid.
03:18 I feel like these shadows go on a little bit better with your finger because you can pack
03:24 on the color a lot easier.
03:27 This has a nice iridescent shade to it and it'll open up the eyes and make them look
03:32 a tad bit bigger because I got them small eyes.
03:40 And I'm also going to bring this in my inner tear ducts.
03:49 Okay and now to darken up the outer crease we're going to take this beautiful shade right
03:55 here.
03:56 This is like the selling point for this entire palette for me.
03:59 It's a nice mauve-y, plum-y color and we're just going to dust this into the outer V and
04:06 darken up our crease just a little bit.
04:20 I'm also going to bring it to the center of my eye.
04:22 I'm not going to bring it any further so then we don't enclose the eye too much.
04:33 Now I'm going to go back in with the only matte shade in this palette and I'm just going
04:37 to blend out all of the shadows together so then we don't have any harsh lines.
04:44 And then I'm going to go back in with this shade since we kind of buffed away some of
04:53 the color and just apply that onto the center of my lids again.
05:02 To add a little bit of an eyeliner without using eyeliner I'm going to use the darkest
05:06 shade in this palette and it's kind of purple-y but it has these gold reddish flecks.
05:13 And I'm just going to apply this like I would a gel eyeliner to my lash line.
05:28 So that didn't apply as dark as I was hoping it would so then I'm going to go in with this
05:32 shade which it might be a tad bit darker than the last shade we just used and I'm just going
05:37 to go over that in my lash line and just see if it will darken it up just a little bit
05:40 more.
05:45 That one's definitely more opaque.
05:51 Alright so now that that is on our lash line I'm going to go ahead on the lower lash line
05:59 and apply this red mauve-y shade and smudge it under my lash line.
06:07 Now the reason to why I'm not wearing eyeliner for this look is because I want it to look
06:11 more flirty and more soft, not so harsh.
06:16 You can apply eyeliner if you'd like but I don't really want to.
06:24 Okay and then we're going to go back in with the darkest shade right here and then kind
06:28 of smudge that on just the outer V on the lower lash line.
06:32 Don't bring it in any farther than the center of your eye so then you can keep the eye looking
06:38 more open and more round.
06:44 For our brow bone we're going to take this nice, it's kind of satiny, it's got a satin
06:52 finish to it, this nice white satin finish on our brow bone and we're just going to use
06:58 this to highlight.
07:02 It has like a light sheen to it so it's not going to be too opaque and not too shimmery.
07:13 Alrighty and now I'm going to go ahead and do my eyebrows off camera.
07:15 I'm just going to use my Anastasia Dipbrow.
07:17 So I finished my brows and I think I'm going to go back in with that matte light mauve-y
07:23 purple shade and bring it up just a little bit further in my crease, blow it out just
07:27 a little bit more because I want this to be kind of a flirty, blown out look.
07:33 I really like blown out, smoky eyes.
07:36 You can bring this as high as you want.
07:38 This is just what I felt like would look really nice and I really like this matte shade.
07:44 It's actually pretty decent, a lot better than it went on yesterday.
07:49 Alright now for lashes I'm just going to use my, if I can find it, I'm just going to use
07:55 my Revlon Lash Potion in Black and Brown like usual and I'll be right back.
08:00 Okay now that I finished my eyes I'm going to go ahead and start on my face and I'm just
08:03 going to use Maybelline's Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer.
08:12 Okay now that my face is like red, I don't know if it's just me but every time I put
08:15 primer on like my face just gets really red.
08:18 So I'm going to go ahead and use my Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless and I'm just going
08:21 to apply this with a beauty blender.
08:31 I'm going to go back in with my Maybelline Master Conceal and just kind of conceal the
08:44 little dark circles that I have because I have not been sleeping too well.
09:01 Okay to bronze my face I'm going to use my Physicians Formula Ph Matchmaker in Bronzer
09:06 and this is what it looks like.
09:22 I'm lightly contouring with this because I do want to add a little bit more depth to
09:25 my face but you don't have to, you can just use this to bronze your face up if you want.
09:32 For blush I'm going to use NYX's High Definition Blush in Intuition.
09:38 This is what it looks like.
09:39 It's a beautiful mauve-y shade.
09:41 It's perfect for fall and I feel like it's going to be perfect for this makeup look.
09:50 And these things are so pigmented, it's crazy.
09:53 I did not realize how pigmented these were until I swatched it and I was like whoa.
09:59 Gotta be careful with that.
10:02 For lips I'm going to use Maybelline's Blushing Bud and this is what it looks like.
10:08 It's more of a mauve-y pink tone and these are really moisturizing so that's why I like
10:13 them.
10:16 To set everything I'm going to use my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.
10:24 If you guys want a cheaper version of the setting spray I do highly recommend the NYX
10:29 Matte Finishing Setting Spray.
10:30 I love that stuff, I just haven't been able to find it and pick it up so go check that
10:35 out.

10:52 I do think that using the lighter shades with your finger to apply to your eye is a lot
10:57 better than just using a brush because you get a lot more pigmentation.
11:00 So I do recommend you guys use the lighter shades with your finger.
11:04 Another thing I do recommend that you could do, I just didn't do it in the video because
11:07 I wanted to just use the palette for you guys, make it look as natural and just not alter
11:12 the colors or anything, is you could use some Maybelline Color Tattoo 24-hour eyeshadow
11:17 in Barely Branded.
11:19 Now this is a really beautiful shade on its own, but for a base for these eyeshadows I
11:23 think they'd be great.
11:24 So if you guys want to look into any of these to use with this palette, I definitely do
11:28 recommend this shade and like the pink shade, I don't know the name of it, but go and get
11:32 it.
