00:03 Hey, guys.
00:23 So today's tutorial is going to be on this makeup look.
00:25 I've been wearing my eye shadow in this new style lately.
00:29 The placement is really specific,
00:31 and I feel like it just really opens up the eyes.
00:33 There are tons of different tricks and ways
00:35 that you can wear your makeup to make your eyes look bigger,
00:38 and this is just one specific way.
00:41 So I wanted to do a tutorial to show you guys.
00:43 So yeah, let's get started.
00:44 OK, so we're going to start with the brows.
00:50 I already have my face makeup done,
00:52 and I will list all of the products down below.
00:56 I'm going to start out by filling my brows in with a pencil.
00:58 This one is from Chela.
01:00 I'm going to use the edge of the brush to create
01:02 really tiny little lines.
01:03 It also comes with these little stencils,
01:04 but today I'm just going to freehand it.
01:06 So now I'm taking this highlighter pencil,
01:22 and I'm just going to put it right underneath the brows,
01:25 and then use a flat brush to carve out the brows
01:29 and have a nice clean line.
01:31 So next I'm going to take a little bit of some eyeshadow
01:42 base.
01:43 This is MAC Painterly, and I just
01:44 use my ring finger to apply it.
01:46 Oh no, this is soft ochre, actually.
01:55 I'm going to start by putting this in the upper crease area.
01:58 And see how I'm taking it up into the brow right here?
02:07 I'm not taking it down in the crease.
02:10 This is to highlight the shape of the eye socket,
02:16 and it's going to open things up.
02:17 I'm not going all the way over into the nose,
02:24 because that's going to close things off.
02:26 I'm just letting it disappear in the inner corner.
02:28 Next you're going to take a blending brush and any matte
02:31 brown shadow, and I'm going to stay true to my natural crease
02:34 out here.
02:37 And I'm also going to start working it out
02:40 towards the temples.
02:41 And then I'm also taking it up towards the brow,
02:51 but I want the line to be soft up here.
02:54 Because if it's too harsh, it's too harsh.
03:01 So I'm also going back in with a blending brush
03:03 and just going to blend that.
03:04 And then also what I like to do is I like to hold my mirror,
03:10 and I like to see where the eyeshadow sits
03:13 when my eyes are just open.
03:15 And then I like to pull it up here
03:18 so that that darker color is showing,
03:20 and it's creating depth.
03:23 And then just taking it up slightly
03:29 in the inner socket area.
03:30 And then going back in with the blending brush
03:37 and making sure that's soft over there.
03:38 This is like a really pretty shimmery color.
03:46 I'm going to take a flat brush, and I'm
03:47 going to pack it on really strong onto the lid
03:51 to get the ultimate color payoff here-ish.
03:57 So I want it to be really bright right here.
03:59 But then with whatever's left over on the brush,
04:03 I'm going to just lightly put it in this area right here.
04:10 And this is going to brighten the eye
04:11 and help keep the focus on the outsides of the eyes
04:15 to really make the eyes look big and dolly-like.
04:18 It's also exaggerating the shape of this eye socket,
04:22 because if the brown was all the way down here,
04:24 it would just make the eyes look a lot smaller.
04:26 So this is a trick to really open the eyes up.
04:30 Once you're all done with your eyeshadow,
04:32 you're going to want to go ahead and do your under-eye concealer.
04:35 I'm using Monica Dar.
04:38 This is actually a powder.
04:41 But at the moment, it's my favorite.
04:44 So I like to put it underneath the eyes
04:49 and then basically bring it all the way down in this region,
04:55 kind of in like a triangle.
04:56 So after I do my under-eye concealer,
05:03 I like to go in and highlight the tear duct area of the eyes.
05:06 So this one is from--
05:08 oh, it just broke.
05:10 This one, I don't know the name of.
05:12 It's like a cheapie shadow.
05:14 But Nylon from MAC is a good one, too,
05:17 for the inner corner highlight.
05:18 So I'm putting it in the tear duct areas
05:25 and then also bringing it over on the bottom lid.
05:28 And this is going to help to brighten the whole face.
05:36 And again, it's just going to help
05:38 exaggerate the shape of the eyes and make the eyes look bigger.
05:41 So next, we're going to do some wing liner.
05:43 And what I've been doing differently
05:45 is starting the liner at about 3/4 of the way over.
05:49 By doing that, I'm really keeping this part open
05:53 and not closing off the eye by adding
05:55 darkness in the inner corner.
05:57 And it just makes the eyes look really, really big and open
05:59 and dolly-like.
06:01 So I'm using NYC liquid liner.
06:02 And I start at about here-ish.
06:06 And first, I just line my lash line.
06:08 And then I'm going to pull the wing up.
06:14 And then I just go ahead and drag this back.
06:20 This liner is a little bit dry, so you can see it messed up.
06:30 But we'll fix that.
06:33 So I'm having it pretty thick in the outside area of the eyes.
06:39 Yeah, so this liner is definitely
06:55 giving me trouble right now because it's a little bit dry.
06:58 Good thing about NYC liners, this is like $2.99, $3.99.
07:02 So I'm going to put a hole in my pocket to pick up a new one.
07:06 Next, what I'm going to do is take a black eyeliner pencil.
07:15 And you could even, if you wanted your eyes to look really,
07:17 really big, you could just line the lash line.
07:21 I'm going to take it in the waterline.
07:27 And I'm only going to take it about just to there.
07:33 And then on the outside area of the eye only,
07:37 I'm taking that pencil down and I'm
07:38 smudging it to get it in between my eyelashes.
07:41 So next, we're going to smudge out the lower lash line.
07:51 I'm just going to take the same brown shades that we
07:53 used for the crease in a small shader brush like this.
07:57 Tap the brush so I don't get any eyeshadow fallout.
07:59 And I'm just going to blend it out.
08:05 So next, I'm going to take some mascara.
08:16 And I don't have anything to say about that.
08:22 So next, I'm going to apply some false lashes.
08:24 These ones are iconic lashes.
08:26 You guys know these are my favorite style of lashes.
08:29 I've already worn these a couple of times,
08:30 so they're perfectly molded to the shape of my eyes,
08:33 which is awesome.
08:34 And I actually trimmed the outside of these a little bit
08:38 because I'm only going to put them as far as where
08:40 my eyeliner starts.
08:42 And again, that's really going to create that exaggerated
08:45 dolly look.
08:46 So I'm just going to let the glue get a little tacky.
08:48 [MUSIC PLAYING]
08:52 And then once I have them on there,
09:00 I'm really pushing them up because I want them to be up
09:04 because that's going to help widen and open the eye.
09:07 Because you know how sometimes eyelashes can either sit
09:15 on your eye up or they can sit outwards?
09:17 When they sit outwards, it's going to close the eye off
09:22 a little bit.
09:22 Once that glue gets a little bit more dry,
09:25 once those lashes are on there a little bit more securely,
09:27 I'll probably go in with some mascara
09:29 just at the base of the lash to help blend my natural lashes
09:33 and also to just ensure those lashes are pushed straight up
09:36 so that the eyes are really, really open.
09:38 For my blush, I'm going to use this orangey blush from--
09:43 I should say peachy, actually.
09:45 This is from Too Faced.
09:47 And I'm just going to put this right
09:49 on the apples of the cheeks.
09:50 [MUSIC PLAYING]
09:53 Now to contour the nose, I'm taking Anastasia Contour Kit.
10:04 I like this middle one.
10:06 And I've actually been using a 217, which is an eye shadow
10:10 brush to contour with lately.
10:12 And what I'm going to do is first just go right here
10:15 at the bottom.
10:16 [MUSIC PLAYING]
10:20 Next, I'm going to take a little bit of this highlighting powder.
10:36 And oh, this is from Ofra Cosmetics.
10:39 I've been using this one a lot lately.
10:41 And originally, I was putting it down the center of my nose.
10:43 But I decided that I think it kind of looks cleaner
10:47 without that.
10:48 So now I'm just going to take this
10:50 and put it on the high point of my nose.
10:53 And it's going to make my nose look more lifted,
10:56 just a little bit.
10:57 [MUSIC PLAYING]
11:01 So for the lips, I'm going to keep them
11:03 pretty light and neutral, although I
11:05 feel like you could actually do any lip color with this.
11:07 [MUSIC PLAYING]
11:10 Next, I'm going to go in with Myth Lipstick.
11:12 [MUSIC PLAYING]
11:17 And then I like to take a tiny amount of this Stone lip liner
11:21 and just really, really lightly line
11:24 the very, very edge of the lips, just
11:26 to give them a little bit of definition,
11:28 because I feel like it kind of fades into my foundation color.
11:31 [MUSIC PLAYING]
11:35 [MUSIC PLAYING]
11:41 Normally, I don't like lip gloss.
11:43 But since my lips are so dry lately,
11:45 I feel like it's appropriate.
11:47 So I'm just going to take this gloss from Cargo Cosmetics.
11:51 Any kind of translucent nude gloss will work.
11:55 [MUSIC PLAYING]
