00:00 Hey guys, it's Jenna from Head to Toe and today I have a glitter gradient nail tutorial
00:06 for you and this is the final look that I'm going to do.
00:11 It's like a pink to purple sparkle gradient.
00:14 So to start off I did a base of OPI's Who Needs a Prince and I have a basic nail polish
00:22 application tutorial for that if you want to look at it.

00:26 So to start off just do a base coat of whatever color that you want to start with and then
00:32 what I'm using is this.
00:33 This is the Face Shop polish.
00:35 I'm not really sure what the color is but it's sort of like a sort of sheer purpley
00:41 glitter polish and then this is also Zoya Roxy that's a little more opaque.
00:46 So take your kind of sheer polish and I find glitter polishes work pretty well for this
00:51 tutorial as well just because it will hide more mistakes better.
00:55 You're going to start off applying maybe like leaving a third of the nail visible and just
01:08 do a really thin layer like that for all of your nails.
01:21 And then you're going to go again and do a second layer a little bit further up
01:37 and it will get a little bit darker.
01:48 So again you're just going to do the same process.
01:54 See how it's getting a little bit darker as you go along?
02:05 As you get more layers you might want to wait a little bit longer in between coats so that
02:09 it dries properly.
02:23 And then since I'm near the top I'm going to use Zoya Roxy which is a little more opaque
02:27 than the polish I was using but it's still in the same color family.
02:49 As you can see the gradient effect is starting to show up a little bit.
02:54 So to really make it blend in really well I'm going to go over it with this sparkle
02:58 polish.
02:59 This is a CoverGirl polish in Disco Dazzle.
03:02 It has little sparkle glitter with like larger circular chunks of holographic glitter.
03:16 And then afterwards you can use a top coat to really seal in the design.
03:20 So I'm going to cover it with a layer of Sesh Vite.
03:27 This is the final look.
03:36 It's a gradient purple nail.
03:46 So I wanted to show you guys what these nails look like in real life.
03:49 This is what the gradient nails look like from further away.
03:53 I think it looks kind of cool, a little bit fresh and a little bit different than what
03:59 you see on everybody just doing plain nails.
