00:21 I think she started this channel. She is so pretty. She looks just like Adriana Lima from the Victoria's Secret Angels.
00:29 So, I saw her do this tag and I really thought it's something that totally interested me just because I love a nude lip.
00:37 I know in my videos I do a lot of really bright lips, but that's just to kind of mix it up.
00:42 But my signature lip or the lip that I use almost all the time when I do my makeup is a nude lip.
00:49 But in this video, I think the point of this video is to share my favorite or my perfect nude lip.
00:56 But I actually have two and I don't typically like to be the type of person that when you ask me a question, I give you multiple answers.
01:06 I like to be straightforward and have one concise answer.
01:08 But for this one, I kind of wanted to share two options because they are honestly my two favorite nude lips.
01:15 And if you guys hear some noise in the background, it's the Godzilla. It's the baby Godzilla.
01:20 I wanted to do the two options for you guys because I figured it is a short video.
01:24 And when you like to do a neutral or a nude lip, we have our preferences.
01:29 I know some people prefer a more nude, natural, brownish nude lip.
01:34 And then other people prefer a more pinky nude lip like my friend Stacy from Beauty Bargains.
01:39 So, after I watched the Grammys, I saw the common trend was nude lips. They're coming back.
01:45 I know the biggest lip color that is coming with full force this spring is a hot electric orange lip.
01:56 But let's be real. That's not for everybody.
01:59 So, I decided I'm going to jump on this bandwagon and do this tag for you guys.
02:03 And I'm actually wearing my option number one.
02:06 So, I'm going to bring you guys in closer to show you this in more detail.
02:10 Welcome to my lips.
02:12 Imagine if I had food in my teeth right now. Wouldn't that be hilarious?
02:15 So, I'm actually wearing lip option number one.
02:19 And for this one, I'm trying to find a dupe for you guys because two of the colors that I'm using are actually limited edition.
02:25 But it's so dupeable.
02:27 So, I'm filming this before I found the dupe.
02:30 So, check the description box below because I almost want to say I already have a dupe for you guys.
02:35 But I have to verify in my collection.
02:37 So, the very first item or the very first thing on my lips is a MAC pencil in Boldly Bare.
02:44 And I just line my lips with this pencil.
02:48 This is the color.
02:49 So, it's just a classic brownish nude pencil.
02:52 This color is actually really pretty.
02:54 I consider it a staple in my collection.
02:56 I've gone through like two or three of these pencils already.
02:58 I really, really like this color.
03:00 And then as the lipstick, I'm wearing MAC's Naked Proof.
03:04 Every time I wear this lipstick in a video, someone asks me about it.
03:07 This is limited edition.
03:09 It's not available anymore.
03:10 It was available on their website for a really long time, but I don't see it anymore.
03:14 But it is a very easy nude.
03:18 You know, it's not a very mysterious or hard to find nude like the Rihanna one.
03:23 So, this I have all over my lips.
03:26 And here is a swatcharoo for you guys.
03:29 So, you guys can see it's not anything special, but it is very popular.
03:35 And then on top of that, I just have a gloss.
03:38 And I've noticed that when I wear glosses on top of my lips, it helps keep the lipstick off my teeth,
03:44 which is a very common problem for me.
03:46 So, this is from the Magnetic Nude, Metallic Nude.
03:52 You guys know that new nude collection that just came out?
03:54 And this is in Oh My Darling.
03:56 This is just a pearly nude color.
03:59 Again, very easily dupable.
04:01 And it's very sheer.
04:04 It's-- Oh My Darling.
04:07 It's right here on top.
04:09 So, you guys can see this makes the perfect brownish nude.
04:14 On my complexion, just for reference, I am light to medium skin tone with yellow to neutral undertones.
04:23 So, in MAC, I am C3.
04:26 In NARS, I am Punjab.
04:28 And in Urban Decay, I am 3.0.
04:34 So, just for future reference, if you guys were interested in, like, a brownish nudie lip,
04:39 you want to try colors like this so that it actually shows up like this.
04:43 If my mom were to put this lip combo on her lips, it would look totally different because of our undertones.
04:49 We have totally different undertones.
04:51 So, lipstick colors or even foundation colors, any type of colors that you apply to your face,
04:56 pick up a totally different color depending on your undertones.
05:00 So, these are the colors again.
05:01 MAC Boldly Bare, MAC Naked Proof, and MAC Oh My Darling.
05:07 Now, I'm going to show you guys how I do my pinky nude lip.
05:10 And I swear I did this lip every single day for, like, a year straight.
05:15 And I was like, "Dani, you need to break out of your routine."
05:18 So, I went ahead and removed my lipstick and then applied a little bit of powder over my lips.
05:24 I noticed, even though it dries out my lips a little bit, I noticed it helps prolong the wear of my lip color.
05:30 So, the very first color, and I talked about this in my Best of Beauty Tag,
05:35 is the lip liner from Rimmel in East End Snob.
05:40 So, obviously, it is a pink lip liner.
05:43 But this is the color of my lips, so I really like to use it when I'm doing a nude lip.
05:48 So, you guys can see that even though it's a pink lip liner, it's really a nude pink lip liner.
06:00 It takes on a really nude color.
06:02 This is what the pencil looks like right here.
06:07 So, again, this is Rimmel's East End Snob.
06:09 On top of that, I like to use ELF's Matte Lip Color.
06:13 I think this is $3 at Target in the color Natural.
06:17 The last part of this lip combo, or my perfect nude lip, pinky nude lip,
06:28 is the NARS Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girls.
06:32 I love this so much, but it is the stickiest thing ever of life.
06:39 It is so, so sticky, but it is good because it makes your lip color last all day long.
06:45 I wouldn't recommend sticking your finger in here because it's a sticky, goopy mess.
06:50 So, I just use any lip brush that I have.
06:53 This isn't even a lip brush. This is an accent brush, like for details from Real Techniques.
06:58 I just take a little bit because it goes a very long way and apply that all over my lips.
07:03 And there you have it. This is my perfect nude lip.
07:10 I like this a little bit more than the one I had before just because I think it's more sweet,
07:15 a little bit more muted, not so brown like the other one.
07:20 But I really do like the other one, and I notice a lot of people ask about it.
07:23 So, it is a good combination.
07:25 But definitely, this is a lip that I rocked for almost a year.
