A top call of £5,600, plus a trio of joint £5,100 second top calls were among the highlights at Skipton Auction Mart’s timed online-only summer sale of working sheep dogs, with Welsh handlers and trialists Kevin Evans and Dewi Jenkins again to the fore, joined by Scotswoman Matilda Young, selling for the first time at the leading North Yorkshire venue on Tuesday, June 13.
Meanwhile, Cornbeg Ali, again by red Spot, out of P Murphy’s Cornbeg Mini, made £1,200 when heading to Northern Ireland and Co Londonderry’s Catherine Bradley.
Skipton’s next working sheep dog sale, a live fixture with field trials, is scheduled for Friday, July 21.
