00:08 And you should be under no illusions, we are all vulnerable to scams.
00:13 So here are some key tips to keep yourself safe.
00:17 One, talk to your friends, share stories of scam messages you've received or heard about.
00:22 Knowledge is protection.
00:25 Regularly check your transaction history and be sure that you actually made them.
00:30 Act quickly.
00:31 If you think you've clicked on a suspicious link or downloaded an unknown attachment,
00:36 contact your bank right away.
00:38 Only shop at websites you trust.
00:40 Beware of sites you've never heard of.
00:43 Check for valid contact details and independent user reviews and that the site's secure and
00:48 provides trusted payment systems before entering your card details.
00:53 Never set your computer to autosave passwords, I know, or other personal information and
00:58 ensure that the operating system and antivirus software on your device is up to date.
