Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Himachal Pradesh on July 09. The downpour led to the severe waterlogging in Mandi. The Panchvaktra Temple and another bridge have also been damaged owing to incessant rainfall.
Earlier, a day after India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued Red Alert for Himachal Pradesh for “heavy to Very heavy with Extremely heavy rainfall (over 204.4 mm) expected on the 8th & 9th of July”, landslides were reported in Kullu district. Water level significantly increased in Beas river in Mandi.
