Biden Meets With King Charles to Discuss Climate Change
US President Joe Biden and King Charles III met in Windsor Castle for climate talks with officials and the US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry on Monday.

00:46 Your Majesty, Mr. President, this group, thank you first of all for arranging for us to be able to be here and brief you today.
00:56 I know everybody is looking forward to being able to share some thoughts with you this morning.
01:00 But the bottom line is that the folks who are here, who have come together, represent a remarkable long period of time they've been committed to this issue.
01:11 They represent some of the most powerful, successful financial institutions in the world.
01:17 And some of them represent some of the best philanthropy in the world.
01:22 And so there's a full understanding here, particularly with the evidence of the last few weeks, piling on.
01:30 That when scientists are telling us that they are terrified by what they're seeing,
01:37 and when we hear those same scientists telling us that we are in uncharted territory,
01:44 this group has come together to try to figure out, okay, how do we deploy the funds necessary to invest to create the new clean energy economy.
01:55 And I'm glad to say that you recognize many of the people here, Your Majesty and Mr. President, you've been with them before.
02:03 They represent literally trillions of dollars either invested or assets under management or assets owned.
02:11 And they are making decisions every single day about how to accelerate this transition.
02:18 So I know they're looking forward to having a chance to share those thoughts with you.
02:22 We're looking forward to that exchange.
02:24 But thank you again, Your Majesty, for all your help in pulling this together and your leadership with Jen and the SMI,
02:32 and Mr. President, thank you for the incredible passion you're bringing to this fight on an international basis.
