00:00 for more on Ukraine's reaction. And we'll cross now to our correspondent, Emanuele Chas in Kyiv.
00:05 Hi there, Emanuele. So this summit has barely even gotten started and it already looks like
00:09 Volodymyr Zelensky is disappointed. Hi, Arian. Well, indeed, I mean,
00:16 Ukrainian president knew that he wouldn't be offered a membership during this summit. That
00:22 is clear for him. That is clear for everybody here in Kyiv, in Ukraine. However, he apparently
00:28 had words, a word that the timeline would remain vague also in Vilnius during this summit. And that
00:35 is something that is very frustrating for the ever patient Ukrainian president. We have to
00:41 see it from Kyiv's perspective. You know, Ukrainians see themselves as defending,
00:46 as already de facto defending the alliance, already paying with their lives, you know,
00:55 this, this war. And for that reason, it is very difficult for Ukrainians and for Volodymyr
01:01 Zelensky to hear that there's not going to be a clear path to membership. He's not expecting
01:06 membership today or tomorrow, but he's expecting a clear timeline. He's expecting to have at least
01:12 a clear invitation of Ukraine to join NATO. And it's his role in a way to also express this
01:20 frustration ahead of the talks he's going to be leading with people in Vilnius today.
01:28 Emmanuel Chaz in Kiev.
