This is the moment a cheeky chicken lunged towards its owner and pecked her in the eye.
Jessica Davis, 40, was recording a video with her pet hen 'Stevie Nicks' when the over-excited fowl gave her a love peck.
Stevie managed to catch her in the eyelid, causing Jessica, from Malibu, California, USA, shouting: "That was my f****** eyelid! Oh my god!"
Jessica, the founder of an animal rescue organisation, said: "Stevie is the alpha of the pack and I believe does this out of pecking order or maybe love? Who knows.
"That was the first time in that particular video, but now she does it all the time."
Despite the pain, Jessica still loves Stevie Nicks the same.
She added: "She got my eyelid pretty good. A little irritated, but thankfully missed my actual eyeball.
"I still love her but she does this all the time now."
The footage was captured on March 14.
