00:10 Bianca Bustamante's experience of getting hit by a car on the circuit was not a joke
00:20 on Saturday while competing in the round 5 of F1 Academy Season.
00:28 Bianca was not yet surprised when she was hit by the rear of the ART Grand Prix driver, Chloe Grant.
00:34 Grant's car went up from the track and was hit by Bustamante's Prema Racing Car.
00:57 The Philippines was also slightly injured.
01:00 I was sort of just like in a shock.
01:02 The car going over my head and the halo just saving my life really.
01:09 The rear tire just about hit my head.
01:12 Seeing that and all the previous events that has happened in motorsport with the passing of a Freca driver as well.
01:22 It really made me realize that it's such a dangerous sport regardless how safe it has become.
01:28 And it really goes to show how much we're willing to risk just to pursue what we love.
01:33 You know the passion for the sport, it just ignites everything within.
01:38 After the terrifying accident, Bianca first thought about when she will be able to return to the track and race again.
01:49 Even though Bianca didn't have much time to recover, she was able to move on quickly and perform in the following races.
01:58 As I got out of the car, the first thing I asked my team was, "Can we fix it for the next race?"
02:05 And instantly I was just ready for the next one.
02:08 I didn't even have much time to really digest what happened with the crash.
02:15 I actually stopped by the medical center to make sure that Chloe Grant was okay after the incident.
02:24 And then the fact that she was, it really relieved me.
02:28 And because of this, I was able to go forward.
02:30 The racer said that her biggest strength is her mental toughness.
02:36 That's why Bianca was able to get a P2 and a race win in the following events in Monza.
02:42 Bustamante crosses the line, a second win of the season.
02:49 It's such a mental battle, you know, to be able to pick yourself up after a really bad incident or a really bad race is really the importance.
02:59 Bianca will be heading to France before the end of the month for the round 6 of the F1 Academy season.
