00:00 If you are walking around the streets of Bristol, you might notice unicorns dotted around the city.
00:07 Yes, you heard it right, unicorns.
00:10 Unicorn Fest will see an array of locally decorated unicorns dotted around Bristol landmarks until September 2023.
00:19 So, to decide which one to go and visit first, it only seems right to do a lucky dip.
00:25 Let's find out.
00:27 [Footsteps]
00:35 This feels like a big decision.
00:37 Okay, I've got one.
00:39 And the number is...
00:41 [Footsteps]
00:44 Ooh, number 44. Let's have a look at what number 44 is.
00:48 I actually found number 44.
00:50 So, it's in a slightly different location than it was on the maps.
00:54 It is actually outside the university's art society.
00:58 Dance, dance, dance, the unicorn was definitely worth having to look for.
01:02 So, it symbolises all things diversity and inclusion.
01:06 So, as you can see, it has beautiful patterns.
01:08 The hooves are actually glittery as well.
01:11 So, it's definitely a magical one that I've enjoyed having a look at.
01:14 Okay, so let's try and find another unicorn.
01:17 So, let's pick a number.
01:19 Okay, so this number is number 20.
01:24 So, luckily number 20 is just round the corner in Victoria Square in Clifton
01:29 by the artist Holy Moly and sponsored by Goodwin and Lily.
01:33 So, let's go and find out.
01:35 So, as you can see, I have found number 20.
01:39 This is just outside the Victoria Rooms at the University of Bristol.
01:44 So, let's take a look.
01:46 So, if you look a little closer, you can see that the artist Jade Perkin
01:50 has actually written a beautiful story and kind of illustrated it
01:55 with lots of little animations.
01:58 So, this is definitely one to stop and take a real look at
02:02 and take in and understand the story.
02:04 So, I'm very excited we have found this one.
02:07 The charity behind this magical array of unicorns is Leukemia Care.
02:12 The UK's leading leukemia charity for over 50 years.
02:15 That ensure everyone affected receives the best possible diagnosis,
02:20 information, advice, treatment and support.
02:23 Let's chat to the Leukemia Care CEO, Zach Pemberton-Whitley, to find out more.
02:28 The Unicorn Art Fest Trail is coming to Bristol.
02:31 We've got over 60 unicorns spread all around the city.
02:35 Each unicorn has been hand-painted, mostly by local artists.
02:39 The Unicorn Art Fest Trails are really exciting and perhaps unusual way
02:44 to raise both awareness of leukemia and what it is,
02:47 but also funds.
02:48 Leukemia Care exists to support everybody diagnosed.
02:52 So, that comes from speaking to the nurse on our helpline,
02:56 attending support groups and meeting with other local leukemia patients,
03:01 sharing their experiences, through to financial grants.
