A professional haircut is often a luxury that can wait, while essentials like food and safe housing take precedence. A group of hairdressers in Adelaide has spent a day doing people's hair for free, as a small gesture to boost their confidence.

00:54 The event was a joint effort between not-for-profit organisation Baptist Care SA and the Islamic Society of South Australia.
