00:00 Right before I reached out to Peloton to hopefully get a job there, I was feeling really lost
00:07 in my career.
00:08 And I was a fitness instructor, but I had sort of taken a sidestep and I was a little
00:12 bit lost and not really sure what I was doing.
00:15 I was commuting an hour and a half each way to get to this other tech company to teach
00:21 fitness there where I was not making great money and I was feeling super lost and like,
00:26 what am I doing?
00:27 What's my purpose?
00:28 And I think those moments are super necessary though to help guide us into the next direction.
00:32 So I definitely remember that.
00:33 It was sort of right before Peloton where I was probably at my lowest.
00:37 What got you from that lowest point to making that change?
00:40 I mean, obviously you got the job and you were able to make something of it, but that
00:43 takes something in you also.
00:45 It takes action.
00:46 It takes reaching out, feeling the feelings, but not just sitting there and staying there,
00:51 but actually going and making a difference.
00:53 Because what's going to happen if I just sit back and feel bad for myself?
00:57 You need to brainstorm, you need to talk to people, connect with people, get inspired,
01:02 get new ideas.
01:03 And then it took me hitting send on an email to John Foley to say, "Hey, do you have any
01:08 job opportunities for me?"
01:10 And just hitting send, closing the laptop and walking away from the computer and just
01:14 hoping for the best.
01:15 And yeah, now I'm here.
01:17 I'm always amazed at what happens when you just leave your house.
01:20 Right?
01:21 I mean, nothing's going to happen.
01:22 And by leaving your house, it could be sending an email, but nothing is going to happen ever
01:27 if you're just...
01:28 I mean, you can feel your feelings, you can reflect.
01:30 I'm a proponent of don't sweep things under the rug, you get a lumpy rug, just feel the
01:35 things.
01:36 But then you have to take action after that.
01:37 It's not enough to just acknowledge the feeling.
