The Enchanted Tandoori Duck with Fruit in Watermelon - A Fairy Tale Recipe

Once upon a time, in a faraway land where magical creatures roamed freely, there lived a skilled and kind fairy known as Celestia. She was renowned for her culinary talents, and her most prized creation was the Enchanted Tandoori Duck with Fruit in Watermelon. This dish was said to grant whoever tasted it with joy and happiness that would last a lifetime. Here's the recipe from this whimsical fairy tale:

Ingredients:

1 whole duck, cleaned and pat dried
1 medium-sized ripe watermelon
Assorted seasonal fruits (such as berries, mangoes, kiwis, and grapes)
2 cups plain yogurt
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon red chili powder (adjust according to your spice preference)
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:

Marinating the Duck:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, ground coriander, ground cumin, paprika, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
Mix all the marinade ingredients until well combined.
Place the whole duck in the bowl and rub the marinade all over it, ensuring it's well coated.
Cover the bowl and let the duck marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
Preparing the Watermelon:

Using a sharp knife, cut off the top quarter of the watermelon to create a lid.
Scoop out the flesh from the watermelon carefully, leaving about half an inch of flesh attached to the rind. Reserve the scooped-out watermelon flesh in a separate bowl.
With a small knife, create decorative patterns on the inner side of the watermelon rind. This will make it look more enchanting!
Assembling the Duck and Fruit in the Watermelon:

Preheat the tandoor or oven to 375°F (190°C).
Take the marinated duck and stuff it with the assorted seasonal fruits you've prepared earlier. This will infuse the duck with the fruity flavors and add a touch of magic to the dish.
Place the stuffed duck inside the hollowed-out watermelon rind.
Put the watermelon lid back on top.
Baking the Enchanted Tandoori Duck with Fruit in Watermelon:

Grease a baking tray or wrap the watermelon with aluminum foil to avoid any leaks.
Drizzle the vegetable oil over the stuffed duck and watermelon rind to keep the meat moist and tender.
Carefully place the watermelon with the duck inside the tandoor or oven, ensuring it's stable.
Bake for about 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the duck is cooked through and tender, and the watermelon flesh has softened.
The Magic Unveiled:

Once baked, take the Enchanted Tandoori Duck with Fruit in Watermelon out of the tandoor or oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
