Transcript
00:00 - Hi, I'm Lee, and welcome to Hampshire Health
00:02 and Beauty Clinic.
00:04 I'm here with Lan and Jane, who's also
00:07 in our team of therapists here.
00:11 - We were at Hampshire Beauty Clinic,
00:13 and now we've become Hampshire Health and Beauty Clinic
00:15 because of our therapist, Jane.
00:18 She does osteopathic treatments.
00:22 Come, Jane.
00:23 - Hi, so I joined the team about two, three months ago.
00:26 I'm a registered osteopath,
00:28 and I've been working for about 25 years as an osteopath.
00:31 So I'm really glad to be part of the team here.
00:33 I've been asked before, what does osteopathy do?
00:37 So actually, it helps people with joint pains, neck pain.
00:40 We treat bad backs, sciatic pain,
00:43 headaches, shoulder pain.
00:46 If you're not sure if I can help you or not,
00:48 just contact the clinic, and I'll be able
00:50 to give you advice, happy to do a chat over the phone.
00:53 But yeah, it's great to be part of the team,
00:55 and yeah, hopefully, see you soon.
00:58 - So to celebrate our second clinic opening
01:00 in Albert Road, South City,
01:02 we had the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Tom Colt,
01:06 and the Mayoress, Nikki, come in and open the clinic for us,
01:11 on which we decided to make a charity event on the open day
01:15 and give all proceedings to the Portsmouth Hospital Trust.
01:20 We managed to raise over 1,000 pounds,
01:27 that's 1,200 pounds, to the charity,
01:31 and we presented them with the cheque just last Tuesday.
01:35 We're really grateful for the Lord Mayor opening it up,
01:40 and hopefully, the hospital gets a good,
01:44 something out of that, which they can use
01:48 for all their facilities.
01:50 - I would like to say thank you to all the local businesses
01:54 along Albert Road and Highland Roads,
01:57 and business in Parkway and Harvins,
01:59 who donated lots of vouchers to the charity raffles.
02:04 And especially thank you to our close neighbours,
02:08 Herbie and South Sea Cycle,
02:11 and to the Vietnamese community,
02:13 who supported us a lot.
02:16 - Throughout, from every event that we've had,
02:19 they've supported us, so thank you.
02:22 - And they looked fabulous on the day I turned up,
02:26 and they looked, ball gowns, sashes,
02:30 you know, hair and makeup looked absolutely amazing.
02:33 It was really well attended.
02:35 There was amazing food, kids' face painting,
02:37 it was just a really lovely day.
02:39 - It was a good day.
02:40 - And the lion dance, you know, yeah,
02:42 with the traditional, what was it, the cabbage?
02:45 - Yeah, the cabbage.
02:45 - What's the cabbage leaf?
02:47 - It's the pocket lock, so it's the lion
02:49 with the cabbage and the pocket lock.
02:51 - I didn't know they were called cabbage leaves, but.
02:53 (laughing)
02:56 - So tell me why you expanded to South Sea,
02:59 and what your ambitions for the business are for the future.
03:02 - Right, so we've expanded into South Sea
03:05 with a second clinic to become more accessible
03:08 and easily located for Portsmouth clients
03:12 that can't reach us into Waterlooville and haven't.
03:16 The future of the business,
03:19 we did say we was going to continue training
03:23 and give support to teaching,
03:27 but we feel that we've been too busy
03:30 making more clients beautiful,
03:32 and so we're just concentrating on shining the business
03:34 on the work that we do.
03:36 I think we're never saying never to training,
03:41 but at the moment, we're just gonna keep it.
03:43 - Keep treating clients.
03:47 - Keep treating clients, yeah.
