Bengaluru dresses up for the Barbie movie
The much-awaited Barbie movie is finally out, and people from around the city went all out with their costumes. We spoke to some of them, and here's what they had to say about the experience.

00:15 Directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margaret Robbie and Ryan Gosling, people have been
00:23 waiting to watch this movie since its first teaser released at least 7 months ago.
00:35 People have also dressed up for the occasion and it's all pink and sparkles.
00:39 Let's go speak to some of them and find out what the mood is like.
00:45 I had one Barbie when I was a kid.
00:48 I had only 2 or 3 Barbies growing up and I used to make houses in shoe boxes and stuff.
00:54 So it was very special.
00:56 And I've always been a great fan of Margaret Robbie.
01:03 Margaret Robbie, I loved her in the Birds of Prey, right?
01:07 I think it was that movie.
01:08 It was really good.
01:09 Suicide Squad.
01:10 So I'm really excited to see her.
01:13 We tried.
01:15 Yeah, we tried.
01:17 The sun was getting as pink as possible.
01:20 And showing off.
01:21 It was worth it.
01:22 Totally worth it.
01:23 When I first saw the trailer, I knew that's what I wanted to wear.
01:28 And I spent so many days just searching for the right costume, right hair accessory and
01:33 everything.
01:34 Yeah, I actually dressed up for the movie.
01:37 I was not that much into the movie.
01:39 But yeah.
01:40 Okay, so the top is from Urbanic, right?
01:43 And I just managed to, the only thing I spent money on was this skirt.
01:46 It was just for like 260-270 rupees.
01:49 And this scarf for like 40 bucks.
01:51 I was actually telling all my friends not to spend money a lot for the movie.
01:54 Like, you know, wasteful consumerism.
01:56 But yeah, I really have grown up watching Barbie since I was a kid.
02:01 So this was like a dream come true in my adult life.
02:06 I thought that I have hyped it up too much in my head.
02:09 But no, it totally met the expectation.
02:14 Cold shower.
02:15 I'm falling off my roof.
02:17 And my heels are on the ground.
02:20 It was everything.
02:22 Existentialism meets like super femininity, which is exactly what I wanted.
02:27 It was perfect.
02:29 It was everything you wanted in a Barbie movie, but it wasn't what you would expect from something
02:36 that was supposed to be plastic.
02:38 And then there is life coming into it.
02:41 So it was great.
02:42 Yeah, it was great.
02:43 It takes you by surprise.
02:45 It is not what people think it is.
02:46 It was amazing.
02:47 I would encourage everybody to watch it.
02:50 It's fun.
02:51 It's entertaining.
02:53 It's educational.
02:54 A little bit, not too much.
02:56 And there's lots of pink.
02:57 So anybody who loves pink is going to love this movie.
