00:23 There's a good reason Gaga was so thrilled in the weeks leading up to the performance,
00:27 Tony's Alzheimer's disease had progressed to the point that he hadn't called her by
00:30 her name in a long time, as she told 60 Minutes.
00:34 He called me sweetheart, but I wasn't sure he knew who I was.
00:38 I had to keep it together because we had a sold out show and I have a job to do, but
00:43 I'll tell you when I walked out on that stage and he said it's Lady Gaga, it was very special.

00:54 2011 was the first time the pair performed together, kicking off a deep and beautiful
01:00 friendship and more collaborations.
01:02 Well, we had our first meeting a couple of days ago, this June we'll come and record

01:40 At the 2018 Grammys, they had just started recording their second and final album, Love

01:47 At the time, Tony was two years into his battle with Alzheimer's.

01:52 I always do, he's a very dear friend of mine and he's been there through the good times
01:57 and the bad.
01:58 I love singing with him so much.
02:05 We were behind the scenes in 2021 for a look at the making of that album.
02:09 He said, "I want to make this Cole Porter record with you."
02:12 And I said that I would do it and guess what?
02:15 We did it.

02:21 Anything I do with her, I'm comfortable about it.
