Clap de fin sur ce 110e Tour de France ! La 21e et dernière étape a comme d'habitude consacré un sprinteur sur les Champs-Elysées, mais pas celui auquel on s'attendait ! Pourtant encore une fois parfaitement emmené par Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) dans la dernière ligne droite, Jasper Philipsen s'est fait surprendre par un épatant Jordi Meeus (BORA-hangsrohe) à l'issue d'un superbe sprint ! Dylan Groenewegen (Team Jayco AlUla, 3e), Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek, 4e) et le maillot vert semblaient les mieux partis pour s'imposer, mais Meeus est venu les coiffer sur le fil en jetant son vélo, les quatres bolides arrivant pratiquement sur la même ligne. Incrédule, le Belge de 25 ans a pu exulter après validation de la photo-finish, s'offrant le plus beau succès de sa carrière pour sa première participation à la Grande Boucle. Bryan Coquard (Cofidis) termine 7e et premier Français. Arrivé tranquillement entouré de ses coéquipiers de la Jumbo-Visma, Jonas Vingegaard remporte son deuxième Tour de France consécutif devant le duo d'UAE Team Emirates, Tadej Pogacar (+ 7'29") et Adam Yates (+ 10'56").
