00:00 A tiger is not an easy animal to kill. It's one of the most agile wild cats. It's powerful
00:06 and considered at the top of the food chain. As much as tigers are known to prey on swift,
00:10 small animals, things change when these animals become scarce as tigers are forced to cross
00:15 boundaries in their search for a meal which may or may not work in their favor. They may
00:20 not be the strongest but they are definitely up there. Because of this reason, not many
00:25 animals are brave, powerful or tactful enough to take down a tiger.
00:31 Hello guys, welcome to another episode of Forever Green. In this video, we are going
00:36 to showcase the 10 animals that can actually kill a tiger. And you should stick around
00:40 for number 1 as you can be sure neither of these animals have an easy time killing a
00:45 tiger. Grab a bucket of popcorn as we head to fill in on what happens when the prey becomes
00:51 the predator and the hunter, the hunted.
00:58 Number 10, Gore
01:03 Gore also known as Indian bison is a type of wild cattle that is commonly found in the
01:08 mountain forests of India. It is also the largest wild cattle in the world. They look
01:15 like water buffaloes but they are far much worse than water buffaloes. They are large,
01:21 heavy bodies, curved horns and their massive aggression is all it takes for them to take
01:26 down a tiger. When Gore gets into a conflict with a tiger, you can be sure that the tiger
01:33 will not be the shining star. They mean business and especially when it comes to protecting
01:39 their young ones. In such cases, gores usually make a circle with their backs facing each
01:47 other and their heads face their opponent. Their calves are safe in the middle. The gores
01:55 will snort, toss their horns and even charge towards the tiger. It is widely known as the
02:02 tiger killer because the number of tigers killed by gore is higher than the number of
02:06 gores killed by tigers. As early as 1934, it had already been determined that gores
02:13 are powerful enough to kill a tiger. This report came after a dead tigress was found
02:19 near a gore. It was evident enough that the two were fresh from a fight that led to the
02:25 unfortunate death of the tigress. In 2016, a tigress named Ma was found dead in the Navagon-Nagriza
02:35 Reserve and NTR. The deep cut on her hind side was believed to have been caused by a
02:42 gore it had gotten into a fight with. She was found in the morning by the officials
02:47 and tourists near Nagriza Lake. She was in deep pain at the time and she succumbed later
02:52 in the day. Pop quiz, if you put these four in a cage,
02:58 who would come out alive? Go ahead and leave us your answer in the comments below. We'll
03:02 wait.
03:06 Number 9. Crocodile
03:11 We all know that confrontations between a tiger and crocodile happen once in a blue
03:15 moon. But we also know that the crocodile is the king of the deep waters. It will not
03:23 hesitate to attack and prey on any animal that is within or close to the waters it calls
03:27 home. It is no match for most animals since it is well equipped with a tough skin that
03:34 even sharp teeth can't go through and a wide mouth that can fit and handle almost anything.
03:43 They are known for their ambush attacks. They rarely miss their prey owing to the fact that
03:47 they have a large wide mouth, sharp teeth and a superior bite force that could potentially
03:52 turn any animal, both big and small, into a meal within a blink of an eye. Once it slams
04:00 its mouth on a prey or threat, that's it. Only one tiger named Mokli was able to kill
04:07 a crocodile. Not one, but three.
04:12 In Sambarbans Island, India, a tiger was found dead near the banks of the lake. At first,
04:19 the rangers thought that it had been killed by poachers, but upon further investigations,
04:23 they found that the key organs that poachers go after were still intact. It was only after
04:29 a post-mortem examination that it was revealed that the poor tiger had succumbed to crocodile
04:34 bites. It was suspected that the unfortunate happened during the high tides. The crocodile
04:42 bite was so intense that it dislocated and ripped the femur and hind leg from the tiger's
04:47 body. The tiger was also found to have more than 25 other teeth marks all around its body
04:54 leading to its death. There was no sight of any crocodile, so it was concluded that the
05:01 said crocodile went back to the water after the tides receded.
05:04 Or, what do you think was the cause? Let us know in the comment section below.

05:24 will have 10 years of amazing luck. Hurry up and try it, it actually works!
05:32 Number 8 - Bear If there is any animal that is good at leaving
05:40 the solo life, it has to be the bear. Regardless of the species, bears are known to live a
05:46 solitary life with the exception of mothers with cubs. These omnivores are known to have
05:53 incredible sense of smell. They can smell their foes and food from miles away. Bears
06:01 are so heavily built that they have sometimes remained composed even after being shot by
06:05 a gun. Bears are known to take down their opponents with just one swipe of their humongous
06:11 paws and claws. These paws are heavy enough to seriously injure a tiger.
06:20 This is not convincing enough. In February 2010, during a routine checkup on the whereabout
06:25 of the tigers at Silcot-Auline Biosphere Reserve, something very alarming happened. The GPS
06:32 collar of a tiger named Anya had switched to mortality mode. Six days later, a team
06:39 of Tiger Project specialists was dispatched to locate the tiger in the jungle. They were
06:45 hoping that Anya's collar had gotten lost, but their hopes were crushed when they found
06:49 that the 1.5 years old tiger had been killed and eaten by a bear. It must have been very
06:55 devastating. When tigers and bears were put against each
06:59 other, bears won 22 cases while tigers succeeded in 12 cases only. When tigers and bears get
07:07 into a fight, a tiger will use most of its energy during the first few minutes. Bears
07:14 on the other hand, possess a thick layer of fat and fur that helps them to take in the
07:18 punches and claws. This causes the tiger to get tired very quickly, and when the bear
07:26 finally fights back, it's game over for the tiger.
07:38 Number 7. Lion The lion is not the king of the jungle for
07:45 nothing. It is powerful enough to challenge almost any animal. It goes without saying
07:52 that in the wild, conflicts are as rare as wings upon a cat. But when they do, only a
07:59 few things matter, who is more aggressive and who got the head start. Both of these
08:05 cats are known to fiercely and fearlessly guard their territory.
08:10 In a zoo in Jeonju, North Korea, a tigress died after it was badly injured by a lion.
08:18 Chorongi the lion was after a chicken that the zookeeper had thrown to him but had landed
08:22 in the trench. This was 5 meters away from his yard into the tigress' territory. The
08:30 tigress was quick to notice the presence of the lion and decided to do what she would
08:34 do in the wild, attack. She jumped in the trench but made a costly mistake. She had
08:44 miscalculated her steps and she landed terribly in the trench. The lion then went ahead and
08:50 attacked. He bit into her neck and Hobi the tigress died.
08:56 Number 6. Doles Now, this may come as a surprise because of
09:04 their small size. But we all know most of these small animals have the tendency to challenge
09:10 large animals. Such are doles. Doles are wild dogs which are mainly found
09:17 in the dense jungle or dry forests. They are the only canines that let out screams and
09:24 clucking sounds and they also do not care about dominance. It's not easy to identify
09:30 the leader of a dole's pack. At first glance, they look like half dog and half fox. They
09:38 are known to devour 1 kilogram of meat in 4 seconds. If this doesn't sound like a warning,
09:44 I don't know what will. They also regurgitate the meat to feed other members of the pack.
09:53 It's disgusting and generous at the same time. They are willing to go through all that trouble
10:00 so that another dole doesn't sleep hungry. We sure need more people to be as selfless
10:05 as doles. They may be small but they are fearless. Doles are known to attack tigers and bears
10:13 in large numbers. It takes about 8-12 doles to take the life of a tiger. That's how they
10:22 compensate for their small sizes and it's without a doubt very efficient.
10:29 They are the true definition of teamwork. These endangered wild dogs are so lethal that
10:34 tigers hide in the trees and bushes to escape their wrath. Now get these right, doles don't
10:41 hunt tigers for food. Their conflict arises from food scarcity. And all doles do is only
10:47 rob the tigers off their meat and any tiger that tries to escape is killed. The trick
10:53 to survive is to stay put, which you will agree with me is not practical at all.
11:01 Number 5, Another Tiger. I guess this is because they know each other's strengths in and out.
11:12 They know where it hurts more and are able to tackle their opponent. It requires a lot
11:18 of aggression to have one tiger kill another. They don't fight each other to kill, but sometimes
11:25 the outcome can be a grotesque sight to see. They fight when they need to mark their territory
11:31 or simply win a female over. When neither wants to lose a mate and embarrass itself
11:37 in front of a tigress, things can turn sour real quick. Tigers are also killed by their
11:45 female counterparts. In 2006, a white 4-year-old tiger died in a zoo after suffering serious
11:54 head injuries. The unfortunate tiger met his death after the zoo authorities tried to get
12:01 him to mate with a tigress. However, things took a different turn and the two got into
12:09 a ruthless fight that ended with the 8-year-old tigress inflicting fatal injuries on the tiger.
12:15 In a different scenario, on November 10, 1981, under the light of the full moon, a tigress
12:20 killed a tiger in an attempt to protect her cub. The tigress had been nice to the tiger
12:27 as they crossed each other's path. The cubs had resulted to hide but quickly ran back
12:33 to their mother within a few minutes. It is at this point the tiger decided to ambush
12:38 and attack the cubs, but the tigress could not have any of it. Roars were heard as far
12:45 as 2 kilometers away. The tigress pounced on the tiger and attacked him from the back
12:50 before inserting her sharp canines into the tiger's neck flesh, thereby killing him.
12:59 Number 4) Water Buffalos Buffalos are well equipped with large, sharp,
13:06 carved horns. This is probably their first line of defense. They are aggressive and will
13:14 charge at any person and animal they feel threatened by. A wild water buffalo is very
13:21 aggressive, a domesticated one not so much. In a certain arena, a tiger was put to fight
13:29 against a buffalo. A tiger's strategy is always to make good use of the first seconds. The
13:37 first smacks and bites are everything they need to take down an opponent. This tiger
13:42 tried to attack the buffalo from its shoulders, but before he could do so, the buffalo threw
13:49 him to the ground and before he could get up, the buffalo slammed the tiger against
13:52 the wall, not once, but several times. By the time the buffalo was done with him, the
13:59 poor tiger could no longer defend himself. Two other tigers were brought to the arena
14:05 to take down the same buffalo, but the two did not want to be under the mercy of the
14:09 merciless buffalo. In July 2016, deep in the forests of Kaziranga
14:15 National Park, a Royal Bengal Tiger was found dead. The vets and Forest Department officials
14:21 confirmed that the death of the tiger was as a result of injuries inflicted by a buffalo
14:25 it had gotten into a fight with.
14:30 Number 3 Indian Rhinoceros Indian Rhinoceros boast of being very huge
14:38 and are famous for their extreme aggression. Like elephants, rhinos in general lack natural
14:44 predators due to their large size and tough skin. It takes persistence and a great set
14:51 of skill to take down a rhino. They do not hesitate to charge on their threats. It doesn't
14:59 matter whether it's an object or an animal. Their poor vision does not get in the way
15:07 of their wrath. When they attack, they mean business. You can be sure it will not end
15:15 well for their opponent. Besides their intimidating size, they boast of a strong horn that could
15:21 potentially inflict serious injuries on a tiger. Because of these reasons, tigers have
15:27 learned not to prey on rhinos in general. Even if they are starving, it still isn't
15:33 a good idea. In Casarenga National Park, a rare, astonishing
15:39 event occurred. A tiger and a rhino were both found dead with their bodies lying next to
15:44 each other. No, it was not a case of poaching because all the organs of the two wild animals
15:50 were intact. It is believed that the two had gotten into a prolonged fight that led to
15:55 their ultimate death.
16:00 Number 2 Porcupine Porcupines are large rodents. They are mostly
16:07 found in tropical and temperate areas and have a lifespan of about 5-6 years. They have
16:13 small heads and chunky bodies. But don't let this fool you, as they may appear harmless
16:18 and adorable, but they can leave you screaming and agonizing in pain within seconds. Their
16:24 greatest line of defense is their coat that is filled with over 30,000 sharp-pointed spines.
16:29 You ask me, those right there are 30,000 reasons to back off. If not, then I don't know what
16:39 is. A tiger in Periyar Tiger Reserve, India, learnt
16:45 this a little too late. Tigers would normally not prey on porcupines. It's usually their
16:51 last result. This tiger must have been really desperate.
16:57 He was found dead with porcupine spines all over its body. When a porcupine releases its
17:02 spines, you never know where they will land. This tiger's mouth was locked because one
17:08 of the spines pierced its tongue and lower part of the jaw. I can't even begin to imagine
17:14 how this must have felt. The pain must have been excruciating, that's for sure. As if
17:20 that's not enough, the tiger's belly and legs were punctured. There is no way this
17:25 tiger would have survived after these serious injuries. There is no doubt that this tiger
17:30 died a slow, painful death. How horrifying, it must have really regretted preying on that
17:36 porcupine. It's now time for today's subscriber pick.
17:43 Today's photo was sent to us by a subscriber wondering about this mama elephant that appears
17:47 to be stumping on a tiger, whilst trying to protect its calf. If you come across a mysterious
17:53 photo online and want us to look into it, just send it over and we may even feature
17:57 it on a future video. Now, we looked into this picture and are excited to reveal to
18:02 you that it is indeed a photoshopped picture. However, there really does exist a humongous
18:07 but calm and easygoing beast who could easily toss a tiger around like in a circus. And
18:13 this takes us to our number one. Elephants
18:22 pride themselves in having almost no predators. They are usually the last resort to any starving
18:27 animal. They spend over 15 hours a day eating leaves, roots and fruits. You can be sure
18:34 that they have the energy to deal with anything that disrupts their peace. The size of an
18:40 adult elephant is quite intimidating. It takes some serious balls to attack an elephant.
18:46 I mean who would gladly want to challenge the world's largest land animal? Who? Their
18:52 tusks are strong enough to dig up roots and take barks off trees. Now imagine what they
18:59 could do to their opponent. Over 150,000 muscle units found in an elephant's trunk make the
19:06 trunk very sensitive but powerful. It's not something you'd want to be slapped with. Cases
19:13 of tigers attacking elephants are no news because they target the vulnerable elephant
19:17 calf or team up to take on an adult elephant. Elephants come together to soothe a distressed
19:23 elephant calf and they'll do the same when threatened. When provoked, elephants are known
19:29 to just charge and chew their opponents away owing to the fact that they are not very aggressive.
19:36 But when they've had enough, they are capable of knocking the daylights out of a tiger using
19:40 their sharp tusks, powerful trunk or stumping on the tiger with their weight.
19:46 The latter is what happened in 1904 when a tiger was captured by King Anam's hunter and
19:51 was set to fight a female elephant. A fight that lasted only a few minutes. As you would
19:57 expect the tiger took the first shot and attacked the elephant. The elephant fought back by
20:03 taking the tiger with its trunk and squeezed it in an attempt to break its bones. Luckily
20:09 the tiger set itself free and decided to attack the elephant from its left leg. The elephant
20:15 was so angered that she kicked the tiger and sent him flying. The tiger landed on the foot
20:22 of the wall and did not move a muscle. It was dead.
20:28 And that's it for 10 animals that can kill a tiger. Truly there are no rules in the jungle
20:32 as the predator can easily be turned into prey even by the most unusual and unexpected
20:37 opponent. Who among these 10 animals surprised you the most? Leave a like and let us know
20:42 in the comment section below. And if you liked this video you should definitely check out
20:46 our video on 10 animals that can kill a lion.
