Stuart McCall's reaction to Sheffield United's friendly defeat at Rotherham United
Transcript
00:00 Yeah, I think it was a competitive game. A couple of chances for both sides. I think we could have done better with some opportunities that we made.
00:07 I think pre-season games was about getting minutes, obviously building a bit of confidence and coming through without any injuries.
00:14 Other than Ollie Norwood who's got a 10-stitch gash on his head, it'll be fine. It won't cost. Injuries-wise we were okay as well.
00:25 Generally, you've got more of a senior side out today who played a good chunk of the game. Are you pleased with the progress of those boys?
00:32 Yeah, I think some of them. Again, sometimes pre-season is what you get out of it. We want to start building partners and building the confidence.
00:40 We had some young boys playing in there as well. Obviously, we've got a game tomorrow where a lot of licks being like Egan and Sanderberg and the likes will be playing in that tomorrow.
00:51 So, it's split teams again. We'll go into Saturday's game against Derby with probably an eye on a lot of people getting 90 minutes as it's a gradual build-up.
01:01 It's a pre-season game. We don't like losing any game. So, that was disappointing. Watch the goal back. It's a full cup of gold.
01:09 Obviously, every game there's things to work on. Some decent things. I thought Addysey Nealy was good and outstanding in the middle part for us tonight.
01:21 A couple of other good things like Seyar's trying to get used to how we play. Playing with the back four today is totally different as well because we haven't got enough personnel at the minute to play two back threes back-to-back.
