More than 15-thousand taxpayer files have been hacked and half a billion dollars fraudulently claimed by criminals cheating the Australian tax system. Documents released under freedom of information reveal criminals manipulated the ATO's identity security settings and lodged around 557-million dollars in fraudulent tax claims in the past two years.
