00:48 Number 10.
00:50 Failing to do a proper cutaway.
00:52 Family Guy is known for its cutaway humor, and usually the characters are able to set
00:56 up the humorous scenes for us perfectly.
00:59 Oh I like when dad talks tough, he sounds like Dirty Harry.
01:02 When Chris is having dinner with his family, he establishes a cutaway in which he is supposedly
01:07 having an even crazier dinner than this one.
01:10 This is the craziest meal I've had since I had lunch at Tommy Sullivan's house.
01:14 What we see instead is a boring, unfunny cutaway.
01:17 And Chris failing at something that literally every character on the show does seamlessly.
01:22 This prompts Chris' parents to break the fourth wall and scold their son for his shortcomings.
01:27 That was just awful Chris.
01:29 Terrible.
01:30 He is not ready for flashbacks.
01:31 No he is not.
01:32 We love hilarious flashback scenes and characters acknowledging their own show.
01:36 But seeing poor Chris fall flat due to his own stupidity never fails to tickle our funny
01:41 bone.
01:42 Number 9.
01:43 Stewie's concussion.
01:45 When Stewie is misidentified as a girl, he decides to join the football team to prove
01:50 his masculinity.
01:51 Despite his small stature and lack of athletic ability.
01:54 What's up dudes?
01:55 Stewie, what the hell is all this?
01:57 Uh, only the most manly thing ever.
01:59 A little something called American football.
02:02 Is that a Michael Sam jersey?
02:04 It goes about as well as you'd think.
02:07 And he ends up with a nasty concussion.
02:09 You do me an honor, Lieutenant.
02:11 But my dance card is full.
02:13 With mismatched pupils and hallucinations of ringing phones, it's pretty clear that
02:18 Stewie is in bad shape.
02:19 Brian and Chris try to decide how to best handle the situation without getting themselves
02:24 in trouble.
02:25 And Chris chooses just about the worst solution.
02:28 But you can't make a helmet for the inside.
02:30 Chris, are you crazy?
02:32 Shhh, let's just let him sleep this off.
02:35 He hits Stewie to try to deconcuss him.
02:38 And we can't help but wonder how many times Chris might have been hit in the head if he
02:42 thinks that this is the best way to fix a concussion.
02:45 Number 8.
02:46 Raccoon steal the camp food.
02:48 The personalities of the main characters in the show have ebbed and flowed throughout
02:52 the years.
02:53 But the creators let us know early on what Chris was all about.
03:01 This is evident late in season 2, when Chris and Peter, along with Peter's friends and
03:06 their sons, go on a camping trip.
03:15 While keeping the food secure from wild animals may be a relatively simple task, Chris fails
03:20 at it in tremendous fashion.
03:22 Not only does he let raccoons eat their provisions, he makes a flipbook of them doing it.
03:39 His block-headedness shines as he is clearly proud of his artistic creation.
03:44 While everyone else feels the exact opposite, about the fact that they are now going to
03:49 go hungry.
03:58 Number 7.
03:59 Wrestling a lamp.
04:01 Chris lacks a basic understanding of the world, and in this scene, we're shown that he doesn't
04:06 understand that inanimate objects are, well, inanimate.
04:14 Peter easily tricks Chris into thinking a lamp hit him in the back of the head to avoid
04:18 taking the blame.
04:19 Despite the fact that his father is obviously the culprit, Chris is furious with the lamp
04:24 and hits it right back.
04:31 Maybe he needs to work on his smarts as well as his anger skills, but we can't help but
04:36 laugh at his idiocy in this moment.
04:41 Number 6.
04:42 National Anthem.
04:44 It's clear from the episode that none of the Griffins are the sharpest tacks.
04:53 When they decide to move to Italy, they initially love it so much that Peter decides to burn
04:58 their passports and stay forever.
05:00 But their finances have different plans, and they eventually have to go home.
05:12 In an attempt to prove that they're really American, they're tasked with singing the
05:17 Star Spangled Banner.
05:22 All of the Griffins are able to do it except for the eldest brother.
05:36 Instead we see him belting out Whitney Houston's classic version of "I Will Always Love You".
05:41 And while Chris is technically wrong, singing this song as an anthem feels so right.
05:47 Number 5.
05:48 Korean or Spanish?
05:50 When Chris meets Isabella at a water park after sticking her bikini top in his shorts,
05:55 the unlikely duo actually hit it off.
06:00 When the two go out for spaghetti, Lady and the Tramp style, he tries to impress her by
06:04 speaking her language, which he thinks is Korean.
06:08 But she reveals she is actually Mexican.
06:16 She's later deported back there, so it's really a shame he learned the wrong language
06:20 as he eventually has to go to Mexico to find her.
06:24 But we're impressed that he was able to snag a girl as great as Isabella, and that
06:27 he even learns a bit of Korean.
06:29 So we also have to give him credit where it's due.
06:36 Number 4.
06:37 A room with free people.
06:39 Chris clearly doesn't understand the very basics of life.
06:42 So when he takes Stewie to the hospital after he single-handedly worsens his concussion,
06:48 he misunderstands what a nursery is.
06:55 Upon seeing the room full of infants, his lack of intelligence is glaringly obvious
06:59 when he assumes that this means the babies are up for grabs.
07:02 He shows off his new find to Stewie and Brian, and we can't help but laugh at the excitement
07:07 he has for this discovery.
07:14 It's a good thing Brian redirects him and saves Chris from himself, and the poor crying
07:19 baby for that matter.
07:21 Because that could have been a pretty bad look if he would have gotten caught.
07:28 Number 3.
07:30 The toaster computer.
07:32 It's no secret that Chris comes by his dim-wittedness honestly, as Chris proves that the apple doesn't
07:37 fall far from the tree.
07:43 When Peter discovers old videos of himself as a teen, he realizes that he and Chris are
07:48 eerily similar, and he wants to stop his son from going down the same path.
07:59 Peter proclaims that he wants Chris to be a success, a word that Chris is unfamiliar
08:04 with.
08:05 So he runs to the kitchen to look it up.
08:12 The only problem is, both he and his father think the toaster is the computer, and we're
08:17 scared to know what happens to the actual computer when the Griffin men are wanting
08:20 some toast.
08:26 Number 2.
08:27 Getting on the Titanic.
08:29 Stewie and Brian have good intentions when they try to help Chris study for his history
08:33 test.
08:34 But when Chris thinks that "we have nothing to fear but fear itself" was spoken by Scooby-Doo,
08:39 they know they need to step it up a notch.
08:48 Stewie uses his time machine to show Chris various points throughout history, but that's
08:53 still not sticking with him.
09:04 Chris ends up running away and boarding the Titanic.
09:07 Oblivious to the ship's fate, eventually Stewie and Brian save him and actually manage
09:14 to alter the future just enough that Chris ends up getting out of his test anyway.
09:24 But this entire episode proved that it's easier to accept Chris' weaknesses than
09:28 try to help.
09:43 Number 1.
09:47 Forgetting his name.
09:48 It's pretty clear that Chris doesn't have a grasp on a lot of things, but we thought
09:53 that he at least knew his own name.
09:55 When Peter starts taking business trips, he becomes more refined and worldly, which causes
10:00 him to start using language that we're not used to hearing from him.
10:09 He even replaces the TV in the living room with a bookcase, which leads to another instance
10:13 of Chris being confused beyond belief.
10:21 But the most shockingly stupid moment of all came when Peter returns home and Chris asks
10:26 him how it went, which led to Chris acknowledging that he didn't know the word "Chris".
10:38 We along with Stewie are still shocked to say the least.
