00:00 Judith McNicol, Director of the National Railway Museum and we're today inside
00:04 Wonderlab, an amazing new gallery for young people to help them get excited
00:09 about engineering and to create, to make new things. This new gallery opens to
00:15 the public on Thursday and it's so exciting to be here today.
00:20 Just tell us a little bit about some of the items that are in here if you can please.
00:24 So we've got lots of different interactives that really help people to think like an
00:29 engineer but they're learning by themselves so they're having some fun but
00:33 also learning. We've also got some amazing art installations behind me
00:37 we've got Steve Messam's mass which is an explosion and riot of colour in the
00:43 museum. We've also got the great machine which is a way to be able to think about
00:48 how do you move things from one side to the other in different different ways.
00:52 Every interactive has probably thousands of different outcomes to it so it really
00:57 helps people to think in a different and creative way.
