Founder of Liverpool's LGBT+ fan group says Jordan Henderson has tarnished his image by moving to Saudi Arabia

00:04 ever imagined, he had captioned us to all of that. For him to be leaving, effectively slinking out
00:10 the back door to go off to Saudi to chase money after he had professed to be such an ally is
00:16 really, really disappointing and has left lots of Kop Outs members and even the wider Liverpool fan
00:24 base wondering who was the real Jordan Henderson. He would speak out against abuse of women. He'd
00:32 speak out about the ability of women to play in the game and take part in wider society.
00:38 And for us, most importantly, he would speak out for LGBT+ rights. And yet he's going off to a
00:44 country and to a regime where much of that would not be allowed. As a person, he's rubbished his
00:51 own legacy. He's rubbished and tarnished his own image by choosing to side with the people
00:59 who oppress rather than to continue the battle against such oppression.
