00:00 I'm doing everything different this time.
00:02 (screaming)
00:04 - So the mark is in Paris?
00:12 - New York.
00:13 - How did they leave it?
00:14 - They exchanged numbers.
00:15 Been texting.
00:18 - It's quite amazing.
00:19 They're extensions of each other.
00:21 She's in the field and I operate from above.
00:25 I do believe that Joe looks up to Caitlin
00:27 in a way that there's just absolute trust there
00:31 and absolute devotion because she's been led by example.
00:36 - I wanna put her through the grinder.
00:38 - She's your field agent.
00:39 Do what you think's best.
00:41 - Caitlin's a great boss because she's done the job.
00:44 So she knows the pressure.
00:46 - I have to be sure.
00:47 - If something goes wrong,
00:49 your mistake is gonna cost everyone a lot.
00:52 I think that Joe has a great level of understanding
00:56 of the amount of pressure that Caitlin lives with
00:58 because she is on the ground running her programs,
01:02 but she's also handling politics.
01:05 And she has to know what is worth the sacrifice
01:09 and who is worth the sacrifice
01:11 to save many, many, many lives.
01:14 - How are you?
01:16 Good.
01:20 She knows the type of stoicism you need
01:24 and she knows the personality that will succeed,
01:28 which is what she thinks Joe has.
01:30 But everybody changes
01:32 and I think she's worried about what's changing.
01:35 How's Neil?
01:36 He's good.
01:39 How's Neil?
01:44 I care for her too.
01:46 But Caitlin's ability to show she cares
01:48 has to be a care which her country comes first.
01:51 Caitlin is the person that is truly,
01:54 truly of service for her country.
01:57 So that keeps Joe sharp, keeps Joe honest,
02:01 but also keeps Joe loyal
02:03 to Caitlin and the lioness program.
02:06 - This is Dr. Ramirez.
02:07 She's a radiologist.
02:09 - What is it?
02:09 - It's a brain tumor.
02:12 That was a scene that really stood out for me
02:15 as a major challenge as an actor
02:18 because you really wanna do justice.
02:20 Parents have to deal with this on a daily basis
02:23 and doctors have to deal with this on a daily basis,
02:26 being in a position to deliver bad news.
02:28 - Can she survive it?
02:30 - No.
02:32 I'm not quite sure how you do it, to be honest,
02:34 and how you deal with it.
02:36 - Motherfucker.
02:39 Don't try anything.
02:42 - I was able to talk with a surgical oncologist
02:45 and he knows doctors that have been punched in the face
02:48 for having to deliver that news.
02:51 You're basically about to watch them
02:53 in the worst moment of their life.
02:55 It takes a very special person to be able to do that.
02:58 You know, God bless you.
03:00 There's tons of respect.
03:01 [screaming]
03:03 - Here's all you did today.
03:06 You got suspended from school
03:08 and you forfeited a win for your team.
03:10 That's it.
03:11 - Having to go through what he just went through
03:12 and then yet you see him in the very next scene
03:15 having to be a father and deal with an issue
03:17 of his teenage daughter being in a fight.
03:19 And I think he's unraveling a little bit.
03:22 For someone that is super bright and has it all together,
03:27 I think we're seeing some cracks.
03:29 - The challenge that you will see them face
03:32 is more as parents.
03:34 What do you wanna be when you grow up?
03:37 - Something important.
03:38 - Better think about that real hard
03:40 'cause those important jobs, they come with a price.
03:43 - I know.
03:43 I'm the price.
03:46 - Kate has already calcified resentment towards her mother,
03:49 needing a mother, needing those moments
03:52 when she had her first experiences of everything
03:56 and her mother wasn't there.
03:57 And she's making choices now on her own,
04:00 damaging choices that are making Neil and Joe
04:04 question whether or not staying together
04:07 is right for their children.
04:08 - Are you getting a divorce?
04:10 - I'm sorry to tell you we're not getting divorced.
04:15 - They're not gonna break up.
04:16 They're gonna stay together.
04:17 They're gonna make it work.
04:18 At the end of the day, they choose each other.
04:21 And I think it's important that we still continue
04:23 to sell hope in environments that represent
04:27 hopeless scenarios because that's what keeps us
04:30 always looking forward.
04:32 Through Joe and Joe's personal life,
04:34 I hope that audiences are able to take away
04:38 a great level of respect and consideration
04:40 that we have to have for people that wake up every day
04:43 to leave their own lives behind
04:46 so that they can put yours first.
04:48 (tires screeching)
04:52 I think she feels like she's fucked.
04:58 They've put a bag over her head.
04:59 She probably feels like she's been discovered
05:02 and she probably feels that the entire time
05:03 they're torturing her.
05:04 That's why it's such a gut punch when you find out
05:10 that it's Joe because she's been through SERE.
05:12 She's done all of that
05:14 and she feels incredibly frustrated
05:16 that Joe feels like she still needs to prove herself.
05:19 I won't break.
05:22 Everyone breaks.
05:22 Not me.
05:23 Everyone.
05:24 She needs to make sure that this kid is not gonna break.
05:28 You can't just take someone's word.
05:30 I'm not gonna break.
05:31 Oh, okay, well, she says she's not gonna break.
05:33 No, break her.
05:34 Try to break her.
05:35 And if she doesn't break, then what she said was true.
05:38 Isabel said she had no tattoos.
05:40 And she had one and it cost her her life.
05:42 And here comes Cruz, I'm not gonna break.
05:44 You're gonna break.
05:46 Everyone breaks.
05:47 Time for round two.
05:49 What the fuck happened to her?
05:59 Well, we don't know exactly what happened.
06:00 She came in looking beat up.
06:01 We quickly find out that there was an unsanctioned
06:04 SERE interrogation.
06:06 And they took it too far.
06:07 Been through SERE.
06:09 I don't know what you call that.
06:10 With what unit?
06:12 No unit.
06:14 Just me.
06:15 Punk motherfuckers, come on, fuck!
06:17 I think that's the first time that we give her the notion
06:20 that she's part of our family.
06:21 Something happens to you, it happens to all of us.
06:23 So we head over to the Charlie Mike's bar,
06:25 one of our hangouts, and we bring some aggression
06:27 and some violence to the fellas that touched our girl.
06:30 Hey, motherfucker!
06:31 Ow!
06:32 I think that's one of the coolest part of our QRA team
06:34 is that if you mess with one of us,
06:36 we're gonna come after you.
06:40 They're willing to get their lip busted up for each other.
06:44 They're willing to take a bottle over the head
06:46 to maintain that solidarity and cohesion amongst the group.
06:51 I think that's the moment where the team really becomes family.
06:54 So at first, they're kind of seeing who she is
06:57 and kind of trying to assess that relationship.
07:00 But once that happens, I think she's really
07:02 touched by the whole thing.
07:03 And then she feels like, wow, I'm really a part of this.
