00:13 Now, a scary story from our countrymen.
00:19 [MUSIC]
00:26 Soldiers who have been dead for 80 years, still feel the pain.

00:33 Mount Samad was known to the youth because of its dark history.
00:38 It was passed by 76,000 prisoners of war, mostly Filipinos, during the Youth Death March.
00:47 [MUSIC]
00:50 And a bike mechanic from here has an unforgettable experience in this mountain.
00:56 It was August 2018, Saturday or Sunday, around 8am, my nephew and I were riding our bike to Mount Samad.
01:04 [EXPLOSION]
01:07 After passing the CR, we heard people marching and shouting from the soldiers.
01:11 [SHOUTING]
01:14 I was the first one to hear it, then I told my nephew to stop us.
01:20 It was a bit disturbing, so we didn't continue looking.
01:24 [MUSIC]
01:27 But in 1942, thousands of soldiers, mostly Japanese, kept marching.
01:34 From Mariveles, Bataan, to San Fernando, Pampanga.
01:38 Was it them that Jones heard when he was going to Mount Samad?
01:42 It's not clear what they were shouting.
01:45 It sounded like they were singing a soldier's song, but they were sad.
01:51 [MUSIC]
01:58 There are many stories around, and while they can't be explained, it's better to respect them, just like our respect for nature.
02:08 [MUSIC]
02:15 Let me introduce you to this man, he's not a layman.
02:19 He's one of those who gives up abandoned places for his own research.
02:25 What's in the bag?
02:27 [MUSIC]
02:31 [EXPLOSION]
02:32 Every day, stories of tragedy and fear become the favorite topic of discussion.
02:39 [MUSIC]
02:42 The places that the unheard of are inhabited by the unheard of.
02:46 Familiar to this are vlogger, radio jock, and voiceover talent, Rico Loco, who grew up in Santa Cruz, Zambales.
02:54 His trip is to go and investigate abandoned houses or places.
03:00 They have detected an entity or element that is ordering us to go up.
03:09 [MUSIC]
03:11 One of the denials of Rico and a group of ghost hunting vloggers is this abandoned hotel in Nasug, Batangas.
03:18 They encountered spirits and elements.
03:23 Oh my goodness.
03:25 Climb, climb, climb, pushed, pushed, it was deformed, then the bones, then it's ordering us to go to the forest.
03:34 [MUSIC]
03:36 They have gadgets, they have detected that there's an element there and the energy there is active.
03:44 So I believed in that.
03:46 Last year, Rico entered this abandoned private hospital in Calapandayan, Subic, Zambales.
03:54 The hospital closed when the bomb exploded in 1991.
03:59 The building is surrounded by a tree.
04:03 Many residents, including the caretaker, shared their ghost stories about the abandoned hospital.
04:12 When I was in college, because I really like the gala, the travel,
04:18 that's when my curiosity piled up about what's inside of these.
04:22 The majority of the things I featured are random finds on Google Maps, Google Earth.
04:27 You will learn to appreciate the decaying and abandoned structure.
04:33 It's amazing if you can learn the history of that place.
04:38 [MUSIC]
04:43 In our surrounding, in the heart of a noisy city,
04:47 there are still places that have secrets about the history of our blood.
04:52 [MUSIC]
04:54 Famous places, not only in history, are rich.
04:58 [MUSIC]
04:59 Even in the graves of the past wars,
05:02 [MUSIC]
05:04 the world city of Intramuros has been buried for a long time in many pages of Philippine history.
05:11 From the Spanish times, when was it built, to the American era, when was it built,
05:18 to the Japanese occupation, when was it built.
05:23 Its houses and walls were used as defense against the invaders until the arms and gunpowder attack.
05:31 When we were under the Japanese during World War II,
05:35 Zelda made different parts of Intramuros.
05:39 [MUSIC]
05:41 But the famous world city still has stories that are not written in history books,
05:47 but in its wallpapers.
05:50 We know that it used to be a battlefield.
05:53 It became a very active place during the war.
05:56 Many were killed, many were forced to work.
05:58 So, there is a notion that many souls stay there because it is not quiet.
06:03 There are certain spots that are very noisy, that they feel.
06:08 Jade Martin is a paranormal investigator who led the Intramuros Ghost Walks in 2016.
06:17 Until now, her experiences as a tour guide are not forgotten.
06:24 We encounter a lot of entities there, sometimes ghosts of soldiers, students.
06:31 It's a good thing that this is a virtual field trip. If this were real, you might not see and hear it.
06:40 [MUSIC]
06:44 It's about sharing history and at the same time, it's about educating people about the paranormal.
06:50 Ghosts don't feel 24/7, so it also depends on the time, their emotions.
06:57 For now, it's not ghost, but virus that we can't see what we're facing.
07:03 So, we decided to leave the ghost walk in Intramuros.
07:08 I hope this virtual tour will be useful.
07:12 Until the time comes when we can go to the dungeons of Fort Santiago
07:18 and have face-to-face encounters with...
07:23 whatever is in the dungeons.
07:27 To our On The Go supporters, watch our live stream on the official accounts of GMA Network,
07:36 and also on YouTube and Facebook.
07:38 And comment on our amazing stories.
