00:00 "Nigerian, my dear compatriots, on Wednesday, June 26, 2023, the forces of defense and security
00:17 regrouped within the National Council for the Preservation of the Homeland, CNSP, ended
00:25 the regime of the Seventh Republic.
00:28 The action of the CNSP is motivated by the sole will to preserve our dear homeland.
00:35 On the one hand, the continuous degradation of the security situation in our country,
00:42 and this without the authorities of June letting us foresee a real solution to get out of
00:48 crisis.
00:49 On the other hand, the bad economic and social governance.
00:54 I would like to say that there is a political discourse on the security situation, related
01:04 by certain political environments at the national and international level, and that everything
01:10 would like to happen well and under control.
01:13 However, there is the harsh reality of insecurity in Nigeria, as experienced by our forces
01:20 of defense and our laborious population, with its lot of deaths, displacement, humiliation
01:29 and frustration.
01:30 The current security approach has not allowed to secure our country, despite the heavy sacrifices
01:38 made by the Nigerians and the appreciable support of our external partners.
01:44 No, the results are not up to the expectations of the Nigerians.
01:51 No, we cannot continue with the same approaches, so far proposed at the risk of witnessing
01:58 the progressive and inevitable disappearance of our country.
02:02 On the economic and social level, the improvement of the current state of our public finances
02:09 and the economic fabric of our country, the situation of the Nigerian school, the health
02:14 of our populations, the fight against the detriment of public dignity, the fight against
02:20 impunity, corruption in all its forms, nepotism and the difficulties faced by Nigerians on
02:29 a daily basis are as many challenges as the government of Shia has shown its limits.
02:35 At the right of the international community, the National Council for the Preservation
02:41 of the Country reaffirms its will to respect all international commitments signed by the
02:49 Republic of Nigeria and the rights of man.
02:54 Also, I ask the technical and financial partners of Ami of Nigeria to apprehend the specific
03:00 conditions of our country to provide it with all the necessary support to allow it to
03:06 rise to the challenges if they see fit.
