Transcript
00:00 Bode Miller's children are on the mend after being hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning.
00:06 The Olympian shares 7-year-old Nash, 4-year-old Easton, 3-year-old twins Asher and Axel,
00:12 and 19-month-old Scarlett Olivia with wife Morgan Miller.
00:16 Morgan opens up about the experience in a post to Instagram on July 28,
00:21 noting that their kids' medical treatment came days after the family had a construction crane
00:27 parked in their driveway. She writes, "Receiving a lot of messages, so addressing it here.
00:32 Two weeks ago we had a crane at our house to remove our broken hot tub.
00:37 Asher, Axel and Scarlett innocently stood on the front step of our house to watch the action,
00:43 which resulted in them getting carbon monoxide poisoning due to the lack of airflow in our
00:48 driveway landing them in the ER. They were on high flow oxygen for over four hours.
00:54 It was a terrifying experience, but thanking my lucky stars, they are okay."
00:59 It's been a tough year for Asher. The little one's health scare comes
01:04 seven months after he was rushed to the hospital following a febrile seizure,
01:08 which according to Mayo Clinic, is a convulsion caused by a fever and often from an infection.
01:15 Taking to her Instagram story in December 2022, alongside a photo of their son in the hospital
01:22 with Bodie, Morgan wrote, "Life is constantly walking a knife edge and it's not something
01:27 we're unfamiliar with. Yesterday Asher had a febrile seizure which scared us half to death."
01:33 The couple are also parents to Emmy, their 19-month-old daughter who passed away
01:38 after an accidental drowning in 2018. Morgan continued, "We took that same ambulance to
01:45 the same hospital we took Emmy to, but this time we got to leave with our child."
01:50 She concluded, "He's home and back to his normal self. I am reminded to slow down and realize
01:58 life's little gifts during this crazy holiday season because we already have everything we need,
02:03 our loved ones, our health, and more time."
02:07 "I'm so grateful for this opportunity to be a part of this special moment."
