00:00 I like to introduce Yorkshire to my French family. I like to be slightly different, slightly
00:06 stubborn and to describe the dales and the moors and the seaside. And they've yet to
00:16 sample and enjoy Yorkshire puddings and how come it starts at the beginning of the meal
00:22 and not the end of pudding? But what I like about Yorkshire is we are a little bit different.
00:28 While I'm from York I've lived in many places but Leeds is a pretty good place to be centred.
00:34 Everywhere from the Yorkshire coast to the Yorkshire dales. And Leeds in the middle.
00:39 Paws is one of our favourite places isn't it? We've had lots of nice trips there. We
00:44 love walking in places like Ilkley and Otley as well. And we go to Keenham Farm Shop don't
00:49 we? Keenham Farm Shop absolutely. And then always a day out in Leeds as well. So that's
00:54 our favourite. So we love it and we're particularly fond of Leeds aren't we because you graduated
00:59 here didn't you? I went to university here. You had a graduation ceremony up at the Town
01:02 Hall just behind us. And I also got married in the Civic Hall as well. So we've got lots
01:06 of connections here now. I'm a fairly new comer to Leeds so I've only lived here for
01:10 about a year. And I've always been really impressed by the people here. My dad's from
01:14 Yorkshire and has spoken well of it. So it's been nice to see that confirmed. So yeah I'd
01:21 say to be honest rather than a place or anything like that it would be the people particularly
01:25 in Leeds. There's a lot of community here that you don't really find elsewhere even
01:30 in like Lancashire or something like that. But if you made me pick a place it's the Dales
01:34 because it's gorgeous and some of the best country in the North at the very least. I'm
01:40 from the West Country so I've got to keep that close to my heart but other than that
01:44 yeah the Dales by far. Before I came here I heard that the Yorkshire people are the
01:49 friendliest in the UK and they're not wrong. So I've been to York and Hull. All lovely
01:57 places. I especially like the Shambles Road in York. And Leeds overall has been great.
02:02 The people are so friendly. I just like the fact that there's so many places to go and
02:08 I like going to a lot of coffee shops. There's one called Olive and Rye that I like to go
02:12 often and then there's Rounday Park. I just love Leeds and Yorkshire because it's just
02:19 so diverse. All rubbing shoulders with loads of different peoples and cultures and stuff
02:26 and it's just good to be a part of it and just embracing that. The beautiful thing about
02:30 Yorkshire is the affordable transportation compared to all other parts. I've been to
02:36 in the UK and it's quite easy to get a job, affordable places to eat and there is an
02:42 African store in Leeds, in Bradford and all of that. So it's cool for me. Yorkshire men
02:48 and women are very friendly, generally anyway. And I love Leeds. I like coming to Leeds.
03:01 You know it's a good grand city.
