00:04 characters. Disbelief and sorrow for many after the death of Oakland born

00:08 actor Angus Cloud on Monday Cloud's family, who still resides in the East

00:12 Bay City, announcing his death in a statement to ABC News. It reads in part

00:17 it is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible

00:20 human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and son, Angus was special to

00:26 all of us in so many ways. The 25 year old cloud was best known for starring

00:30 in the hit HBO show Euphoria. As a child, he attended the Oakland School

00:34 of the Arts, which reacted to his death by saying the O. S. A. Community is

00:38 mourning as we remember Angus and we offer our deepest condolences to his

00:42 family and friends. Angus is remembered as a multifaceted and talented artist

00:47 and instrumental music, digital media and production design, who had a huge

00:51 presence at O. S. A. Cloud maintains strong ties to Oakland throughout his

00:55 life and career. Last year, he sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone and

00:59 talked about the first time he was recognized by a fan. Hey, are you from

01:03 Euphoria? And I said,

01:05 uh, no, I'm from Oakland. In another interview, Cloud said he was a regular

01:11 customer at Oakland restaurants like vegan mob in the city's Grand Lake

01:15 neighborhood on the streets of his hometown. Residents say it will be

01:19 missed. I feel like Oakland goes hard for its people and like, well, like rep

01:25 the folks who come from here because it's like you want the people from your

01:29 town to succeed.

01:30 Now, called his father died recently as well and was buried just last week.

01:36 His family said Angus had been struggling intensely ever since, as the

01:40 two were best friends in the studio. Tim Johns, ABC seven News.
